I know this doesn't belong here, but I just wanted to inform you guys that Access Hollywood will air some of the unseen footage from Donner's cut of Superman II. It airs today (Friday).

Im dyin to get the Donner cut of the movie myself... Mostly to see what all the big deal is about lol.

ya i watched the repeat of access and i saw it and they showed lois falling down the window and a quick shot of superman vs. non. i cant wait to see it.

On the front page of Superherohype they released the details on the special edition of the Donner cut and other Superman DVDS. I didn't see that huge special edition DVD with all the titles included on there? I just looked quick though.

I don't know where you live, but they air repeats at 4am (4:30 on Saturday morning) and 12:30pm on Monday.

I just watched it.

*They showed the original scene where Non is catapulted into the Empire State Building. Instead of Ursa hitting him as the Lester Cut, he is punched right in the face by Superman and is sent spiraling head over heels.

*They also showed a shot of Superman getting kicked into the torch of the Statue of Liberty by one of the three, I think it was Zod.

*The last sequence was Lois betting that Clark was Superman and jumping out of the Daily Planet to test him. Lois was previously doodling glasses, hat, and suit over a photo of Superman in the paper.

Very cool.

I watched all the shorter scenes, and what I could of the longer videos and didn't see the sequences I saw on Access Hollywood. Granted, I didn't watch every second of all the videos, just browsed through.

I guess it is new footage, I never even heard of the Superman punching Non or Superman smashing into the Liberty torch sequences before.

The scene where Lois jumps from the Planet has been rumored for years, so I knew about that one.

Glad you got to see it! Did you see anyone filming the Donner footage or the Superman Returns gag reel? I hope the gag reel at least makes it online, because if it's anything like the one from X2 that was screened at a convention, it probably won't make it to the DVD release.

Donner knew what he was doing. None of this whimpy kicking **** with the sound effect of a garbage can dropped to the floor noise. Supes and Zod, Non, and Ursa actually throw blows in this, and have more personality. Donner rocks. And he kicks Singer's ass even with 30 year old technology.

And thank god, no post accident, looking like i am dying Kidder.

HOLY CRAP!!! That looks so awesome!!! Lester go the **** home! Just seeing that footage makes me so pissed that they cut off Donner. A lot of Lester's superman 2 was very cheasy, and this little bit of the Donner footage we see here is just amazing!!!.... I love that he punches Non, HAHA!!!!! Looks so cool. It really looks like a fight!

And just to think that The Donner version of superman 2 is like 80% new footage!!!!! I can't wait to see this! And I'll bet that it'll blend in a lot better with Superman Returns in Donner's vision!:) GO DONNER!

the only strange shot is going to be that scene cut together from auditions..the reeve is 20 pounds lighter..and his hair will keep changing lengths.

YEP! The 8-disc superman box-set will include a 4-disc STM, a 2-disc Superman 2 (Lester's vision!), and Deluxe editions of Superman 3 and 4, whatever that means.. But apparantly, those are still only 1-disc editions, so how much deluxe can they be?

The Richard Donner version of SUPERMAN 2 will be available only seperatly, which is fine by me! I'll get both! But the Donner version of supes 2 I just can't freaken wait to see!!!!!!:up:

Nice :up: I will probably get the 8 Disc collection since I have been putting off getting the Movies on DVD for a few years now. Plus I havent seen 3 and 4 for over a decade now.

I jus hope its not too expensive.

On sorry. I misread it. Yeah. Well Donner's from New York, so I am sure he has seen some real fights growing up. This is a New York fight. I wonder if in the Donner version Zod and Ursa are lovers. It kind of seems like it from the White House footage left intact in Lesters S2, and also how she comes up behind him after he kicks Supes.

STM on 4 discs. I wonder if we are getting the same STM we have now, or more cuts. Also, do you think they went back and digitally cleaned it up like they did Star Wars. And I am not saying digtally did the effects, but I mean digitally restored it frame by frame.

I know, it just raises so many exciting questions. What will the opening credits look like? Will the text be blue like in Superman: The Movie, or stay white as in Superman II? Will the score be very different? Will the effects look even better?

Well I just went to caped wonder and looked at themain superman film site specs for it. And I just heard 2 minutes of the opening. i uses mostly Williams score from STM, but it also uses Thrones score from Lerster's SII sparingly. And the opening credits are exactly like the ones in STM and SR. I also heard Krypton exploding after the Phantom Zone gets Zod, Non, and Ursa, and I guess it pushes their planned path out of orbit so that it would be on the same path eventually as the rocket Supes throws into space in STM. then the audio stopped.

I LOVE the fact that Superman punches Non but I'm not too crazy about the flips. The flips look a little weird. But, whatever, atleast Superman punches him.
