Since the role of the Joker, has been filled by Ledger, someone who has never been rumored for the role, does this mean current candidates for Dent aren't the real candidates either? It'd hurt not to see Liev Schrieber get this role for me, or for others josh lucas not getting it

I think it's possible Caliboy. You never know with the film industry. The fans can only have so much sway and lord knows how many of those "tips" on candidates for Dent were bogus. I hope it's another curveball... it makes life exciting!

i just hope there's still a chance for the candidates we have. i trust nolan's decision with ledger, it's just there are so many other important things about the sequels that needs to be decided.

Casting does not end with Ledger as Joker, now that joker cast is over I'm looking forward to rest new cast.

I still pray Schreiber gets the role. I'll be extrememly dissappointed if anyone else gets it. With Schreiber as Harvey Dent, this movie could very well be better than Battlefield Earth!

Has Lucas even been cast as Harvey? No.

To answer this threads question. It's possible that it could happen. There are so many actors rumored for this role, that Nolan could very well pick someone who hasn't even been mentioned. Or, as he did with Ledger, could also be discussing the role with an actor he has is mind secretly.

Hopefully he's still a strong candidate. He's expressed as much interest in the role as anyone else. It'd be a shame if he didn't atleast get a screen test. If not, I'm also hoping Phoenix's name is in the midst of it all again. Though, like Ledger, I'll have faith in whoever he chooses.

Because there are other actors out there who can play the part perfectly as well, not jsut Schreiber.

Wait - so are you agreeing with me that Schreiber can play the part perfectly? It doesnt matter if there are OTHERS who could do JUST AS GOOD as Liev, just that Liev is as good as Nolan will find - and I think that is the case here. Liev is as good, if not better than anyone up for the role.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, Schreiber is a below average actor. He is never anything better than 'OK' in any of his movies. You people all say you want some good for the role, then why are you all hung up on Schreiber?

Who cares that he looks like The Long Halloween Dent.

Sure he can.
But he's not going to get the role. It's easy as that.

Because we believe Schrebier IS good for the role. You act as if it's some established fact that Schreiber's a bad actor, and yet we campaign for him even though we acknowledge this. Schreiber would be perfect for this role, and his looks aren't nearly the only reason.

Did you see the Manchurian Candidate? It was his performance that sold the movie for me really. Schreiber is a good actor and I believe has the ability to absolutly nail Two-Face.

Schreiber among others, is really one of the best choices for the role. And no, it isn't because he "looks" like TLH version of Dent. Looks have nothing to do with it. It's because he's someone who, if given the chance, can absolutely bring life to the duality of Harvey.

Like Ledger, chances are Nolan won't cast anyone who's been "in the mix". He'll probably pass on them, and cast someone who is best suited for the role in his opinion. I'd be optomistic about it. Given that there have been PLENTY of good actors mentioned already. Regardless, I'll support whoever he casts in the end. As long as he feels it's right.
