I have to go with the Avengers. Earths' mightiest heroes have had all of Marvels best in thier line up at one time or another and if you pick from thier entire roster they can match up against anyone.

Come to think of it the Silver Age LSH was easily the most powerful, numerous and diverse team ever. The Legion had more than thirty members in its history, several of whom were as powerful as some of the other entire teams. Wildfire for example had more raw power than the entire JLA and Avengers teams combined and was completely immortal and unkillable.

Best team Big Jim Shooters Avengers circa 1977ish.
Most fun team Paul Levitz Legion of Superheroes circa the "Great Darkness Saga".
Most innovative Doom Patrol Morrison 89 - 92 or Claremonts New "Old" Xmen.
