Hi again. I have another question for you guys. I think Slott is really a great writer, and considering he's never written Batman before, should he start now?

I take it you've never read his Arkham Asylum: Living Hell mini series. Or Slott's run from issue #1 through #17, in Batman Adventures.

His Batman Adventures run was one of the best things I've seen in mainstream Batman comics in a long time. If you put the creative team from BA on the flagship title, I will start reading it again.

Dammit. So Slott did write a Batman book?
As usual, I am behind in reading what Slott writes. At least I was subscribed to both She-Hulk vol. 2 and The Thing.

So far I've read a few issues of the Thing and She-Hulk and Spider-Man/Human Torch mini from Slott. So far, I've enjoyed neither of them particularly, so I can't really I'd be all that thrilled to see Slott on a Batbook.

I'd say you're in the minority of comic fans who have read those books.

Oh, believe me, I know. I have no problem with Slott - hell, I even think he should be put on a Spider-Man book due to how much everyone else enjoys his stories - but for Batman, where there's already a ton of guys out there who could write him well, I'm being selfish. :o

No, because that means that Slott would have left Marvel and I don't want that quite yet, he still has to write a Spider-Man ongoing! :spidey:

Seriously though, I do need to read some of your more serious stuff. It seems like so far that classic style of writing your so praised for I'm not used to. Yet, at least - I'm always, opening to changing my mind.

Geez people, don't be quick to jump to conclusions. I'm betting the user Dan-Slott is actually a fanboy with the name Dan_Slott. Not the real Dan Slott. Kind of like that other fanboy who pretends to be a Happy Days character.

actually, he is the real Dan Slott, I've met him at cons and he has his own section over at the Bendis Boards. He's even given us proof before by telling us things (inconsequential things such as what sound effects are used on what page) that will happen in upcoming books he's writing
I've only read his adventures stuff, but it was quite good.

Title: Arkham Asylum: Living Hell
Writer/Artist: Dan Slott and Ryan Sook
Publisher: DC comics
Genre: Crime, fantasy.
Summary: Warren White is rich, handsome, and commands the respect of hundreds. Warren White is also one of the worst men you could ever meet. He and his company engage in every form of tax evasion and fraud imaginable. And, recently, he was caught red-handed. These, however, were not Warren's mistakes. Having his trial in Gotham City and pleading an insanity defense was Warren's mistake.
What follows is a most intriguing tale. The inside of Arkham Asylum, from the perspective of a sane man. This book offers a very interesting take on Batman's villains, and delves into the psyches of some of his lesser-known rogues. The series also takes a rather surprising twist, suggesting that there may be a more otherworldly reason for Arkham's rather unique history.
Format: A six issue mini series, currently available in trade.
