I got a hold of som eearly 80's Batman(around 380/370), and it showed a Alfred w/ a daughter(Julia) who i guess lived inFrance.
I have never heard/knwn much about alfred from the movies , so forigve me if this has been asked.
IS she still alive or was did she leave/die?

Thanks...

All I remember is that in one issue (368?) they went to montreal and found a death threat.

I think she got wrote out of continuity with the Crisis on Infinite Earths. But who knows, with Bats getting a son, she might come back. Like the f**kin' bat-brady bunch.

I think it'd be cool if Alfred had a kid - A LOVE CHILD. That would make his and Bruce's relationship all the more interesting to me. Alfred and Batman are like father and son anyway. It would be cool if they both found out they had illegitimate kids. I always hated the idea of Alfred having no life outside of Wayne manor. I'd like to see Alfred have a family. The could have went that way w/ Leslie. But after War Crimes, well, ........ damn. By the way bro, how do you pronounce Fledermaus?

Flay-der-mouse. Ironic, you asking me how to pronounce my name. heh heh.
And if I'm not mistaken, when Alfred had a daughter, she was quite taken with Bruce Wayne. I bet that made for some interesting conversations with Alfred and Bruce.

Yeah in Pre-Crisis Alfred had a daughter name Julia Remarque (sp) and Alfred was trying to set her up with Bruce.

ALFRED: Master Bruce, do not get me wrong, I only think the world of you and you are like a son to me...but you touch my daughter, I'll rip your f**king spine out of your f**king ass-hole.

The funny thing is I believe Alfred could do it.

Can't you just hear Micheal Caine saying that?

Actually, I think Michael Gouth would be more likely to do it. I mean, Caine could say it, but he seems like a guy who would have a few pints and then forget about it in the morning. Gouth looks like the guy who could possibly go through with it.

Wanna know something more ironic? I was about to ask YOU if you knew how to say my name.
