I am guilty to say i have never heard jones' voice... I would have loved the continuety from the first and second films but... oh well. He said is is gonna be an exciting film! Lets hope Paramount with finance it!

Honestly I never really liked David Hyde Pierce as the voice of Abe Sapien. Mainly because his voice is way to recognizable. Also, I never imagined Abe having such a fancy pantsy voice. All that said, I haven't heard what Doug sounds like either.

That's because the movie mis-characterized and mis-represented Abe as this fancy-pants scientist type . . . which Abe is not.

You're partially right. In the comics you don't see him do a lot of scientific research and what not. However, in Hallow Earth, we do get to see his room and it's filled with books. So Abe is no idiot by any stretch of the imagination in the comics.

I think Abe would be improved for the sequel.

Guillermo has stated that he wants Abe to do more fighting.

Yes, GDT has stated that Abe will definately see more action this time around.
