Iron Man animated series

Hello,

I kinda accidently discovered that there was an Iron Man animated series. One in the 60s and another in the 90s.

Has anyone seen these? Are they any good? And faithful to the comic?

The one from the 60s is barely animated. They're basically comic book stills with music and voices.
The 90s one, while better animated, was pretty horrible. The stories were dumbed down, and the theme song was atrocious. That's mostly the 1st season, and I believe it had a makeover in the 2nd season and did improve.

According to the Ultimate Avengers 2 DVD, they're making an animated Iron Man origin story. Why they're doing this with the live action version out in two years, I do not know.

The first season of the 90's animated series was not so good, but Marvel re-vamped season 2, new art work and new theme music and it was pretty good. I only saw 1 episode from the 60's animated series and I'm wishing I hadn't.
There is a animated movie coming early next year from lionsgate and Marvel just confirmed a new series coming fall of 2007, both of which I'm really looking forward too.

^I like the way they seem to be going. More of an X-Men: Evolution type look rather than the early 90's Spidey/FF/& X Men cartoons which as far as the animation went, weren't all that great.

I don't like how this is not in continuity with Ultimate Avengers yet it is using basically the same animation style as Ultimate Avengers. They should have gone with the basic Ultimate Iron Man storyline and mix it in with 616 elements like they did with Ultimate Avengers.

Yeah, I was really fond of the portrayal of Iron Man in Ultimate Avengers.... the look, personality and voice were all spot-on, IMO, so I was kinda hoping this movie would follow up on those traits.

But ah well.... probably this movie'll still kick ass, regardless of those nitpicks. :)

Just a few questions.

1.) Is this whole movie (most of it) going to take place in the Asian
mountains?

2.) Is that Mandarin?

3.) What suit is being used (I saw several)?

4.) Who is the female? Has she ever been in the comics?

5.) When is this being released?

I Saw the first episodes on youtube recently and season 1 is not hte best. the worst episode is silence my companion, death my destination as Julia's daughter was annoying and could not shut up and Iron man defeated Blizzard and Wirlwind way too easily. the finale of season one Wedding of iron man made no sense the animation was better than the fantastic four that ran along with it (the animation in that was horrible)

season 2 was better and had more dramatic plots and forceworks left iron man when he betrayed them to fake his death and mandarin spent season 2 reclaiming his rings which build us up for his return. I loved the season finale of season 2 and was shocked when the sword came down at mandarin and he screamed (DID HE DIE!!!) I loved how every

The 90s animated Iron-man series was okay, season was sucked, but season 2 was vastly improved and plus it has that incredible guitar rift theme song.

The Iron Man cartoon was alright. Season one was blah but it was much better in season 2, when they added the Avengers aka Force Works. I loved those episodes

Haven't heard anything about it, but if they do. They need to pick it up from the animated movie. Either that or reboot it from there.
