hehehehe...smeone just created the same thread yesterday, so I don't know how many people will post in this one. Ph well, it's hard to keep up with all the threads now since ther's like 20 new ones a day...I guess I'd gotten used to the old bat-boards where there were only 20 posts a day

I highly doubt that any of the taglines for the movie will have anything to do with the Joker.
This movie is about Batman, not the Joker. Just because he's in it (and not for the whole film, as was the case in 89) doesn't mean they'll focus the whole promotion campaign around him, with lines like "Laugh til you die" or "Some jokes aren't funny" are simply illogical.

The holiday begins when he laughs. Whatever. Begins had a horrible tagline at some point didn't it? Evil fears the knight or something like that.

Evil Fears the Knight sounds like something straight from a BTAS commercial.
Is that good or bad?

I don't know, it never sat well with me anyway, just like the title. ''Batman Begins''. But it grew on me. That tagline was in some trailer or TV spots but I never liked it much.

I think ''The Joke's On You'' was already used by Batman Beyond: ROTJ for whoever mentioned it......It still sucks though.

I always thought that was a weird poster idea for Batman Begins - considering the cowl looked nothing like that...
Its a Batman picture though.

I would just use the image of the bat-signal prominently with the tagline "answer the call" or "answer the call in 2008". Something like that. However that would have worked better for Batman Begins. Oh well, that is why I'm not in marketing.
