As many of us know a fellow poster recut the entire Batman and Robin movie last year to make it more watchable. I just found this video on youtube, where another fan does a similar task (and no easy one at that). I'd say he does a pretty damn good job with the first ten minutes here. Enjoy

Interesting....There is only so much one can do with B&R....They did well though...less camp.

The first action sequence in B&R isn't really that bad. The dialogue is what kills the mood.

Nice attempt but, unfortunately, nothing can be made with the bat-nipples and all that neon...

I thought was good but still B&R is a bad film.

Yeah, it was a cool scene in the context of B&R.
Did he cut it because he thought it was too over the top? Because t every action scene in B&R is silly.

It's great. They cut like 80% of the dialogue in the opening scenes.

Mr. Freeze should say nothing until they find the right writer to give him dignity!

I find that when Gordon contacts Batman by video link "Batman, there is a new villain in Gotham City..." it’s very cheesy. Least they edited “Hi Freeze, I’m Batman” bit.

lol
The guy spelled Schwarzenegger wrong. I mean, you think he would have looked it up before putting in all this time and making this recut.

Maybe it's just the video quality, but it looks like he also muted out the colors a bit - which looks a heck of a lot better visually than all the bright crayola colors that was everywhere in the movie.
But still - the production design can't be easily masked over. Tons of set design pieces don't make logical sense - even within the context of that comic book work.
Example: What's the deal with that coccoon/coffin thing that Robin's bike is in? And why is there two huge neon bat signals on the inside of it? Is it to indicate that it is the property of Batman? Why would he need to make that clear if the only people who have access to the Batcave is Alfred, him, and Robin? So lame.
Also - why would Batman want to put bright neon lights on the Batmobile?! Why would he want it to be so visible - or to even draw attention to it?
Sorry. Haven't watched it in years - just seeing that 10 mins of it reminded me of what a piece of crap that movie was. LOL

greencapt did it, and theres a website where you can download a DVD version if u have a dvd burner, and he even sometimes mails them to people.
I have the dvd, and its sitting next to my other bat films on the shelf. The movie really shows how mr freeze is a badass character if taken the crappy one liners. The quality is fantastic, wide screen presentation, worthy of DVD quality. You need bitorrent to download it, if you want the site pm me.

I didn't watch all of it but, it's funny how much of a difference a few cuts here and there can make. He spelled Arnold's name wrong I see.:)

They go through a frickin' ritual just to get out of the cave. That recut version is passable, it really hinders the excesiveness of the original cut. You can still see the crap that this movie is though. Thay guy who recut this thing is truly brave. I would never watch this movie again, not even to improve it, as this guy did, if such a thing is possible.
Well maybe I'd watch it again so as to remember how horrible it actually is. I've only seen the movie completely one time, at the theather. I was just a kid and the WTF nature of the film didn't really affect me until years passed. But I knew that I had seen something very wrong that day, years ago....

There are some more changes one could make to B&R:
- Change the opening credits music to the Danny Elfman theme
- Use voice clips of Bane from the animated series

Exactly, I was thinking that too.

Fairly decent attempt to turn B&R a little less horrid than it actually is. :)
