Rayman Raving Rabbids, which is developed by Michel Ancel and team (the same folks behind not only Rayman 2, but the cult hit Beyond Good & Evil and more recently, King Kong), is being designed first and foremost for Wii, which is the lead platform; the other versions for current and next generation consoles are ports.

I don't care what anyone says about the Wii's graphics, b/c this game looks good. The only quom I have right now is that we don't know how the Wii-mote and nunchuck will be used with this title.

I loved Rayman 2, one of my favorite platformers..and who can't love Beyond Good and Evil. Since the same team from both of those are behind it, it has to be good.

Plus the uses they have mentioned of the Wii-mote sounds really fun and creative. Plus it has silly bunnies.:D

EDIT: I didn't realize this was a "timed-exclusive". Wikipedia only had Wii in the info box and that was the only thing I noticed. Anyway, the graphics are still very good. You're too particular about graphics in games. Try enjoying playing it more than about how it looks.

IM getting a Wii...it's starting line up has been incredible so far, and the graphics ain't too shabby

And Ill be getting this game, just because the whole style is awesome, the gameplay looks like it will be great, and it looks like it will be funny without even using crude humor :O

When I see comparison screen shots of the graphics of each of the respective systems, I don't notice any of the differences that a hardcore gamer would otherwise detect. It's all the same to me. So when people argue about the power of a system, I cannot help but give a little chuckle.

But I'm not exclusively referring to Rayman, but to ALL of the screenshots of various games I've seen. To me, they all look the same. Not that it matters.

But I do hope that future consoles will make advances beyond just graphics and media synergy; they aren't that important anymore, I don't think.

Originally I thought Wii was going to be murdered graphically (which is ok, no one was buying it for it's horsepower anyways), but if developers remain intent on just putting out xbox-level graphics on the 360 and ps3, which is what they've been doing since we first started seeing games from those two, then I doubt a difference in power will even be noticed, which is sad considering how weak the Wii is compared to those two.

I agree that there are far too few games showing off the next-gen power, but there are plenty on the way like Dead Rising, Splinter Cell 4, Lost Planet, Gears of War, Too Human, Mass Effect, Alan Wake and Bioshock to start raising the standard.

For now, we at least have Oblivion and Ghost Recon.

You might like the character, Raymond 2 was one of the best platformers ever created, so I am looking forward to another go at Raymonds world.:up:
