Cloth or Rubber?

If you were given the opportunity to make a Batman movie and you didn't have to adhere to any of the existing films -

Would you prefer to have a Batman that dons the classic cloth-type uniform or the modern rubber(armored) version?

I personally feel it would be really cool to see a movie featuring a more cloth based uniform. Basically still a hi-tech uniform, but not the ultra sleek hi-tech one. More like the one in DKR.

What do you guys think?

If done right, there is no reason why a filmaker couldn't go with a hi-tech black&gray cloth-type Batsuit... it is simply a matter of proper execution and the right story.

I'd play around wih some cloth stuff (definately leave off the outside undies) but probably end up going with rubber.

Rubber. It would be very hard to make the cloth one look sleek and high-tech.

I've never had any problem with rubber, but the thought of a fully comic accurate suit (made out of the stuff the Superman or Spider-Man costumes were made out of) does peak my interest.

Well the rubber is (armor) in the movie's, But whit the right script and stuff... i think they can make a suit like the spidey suit.. and explain it as a "super hi-tech" fabric..(armor)

I think it would deffently work, But i doubt we will see it...

That's how I envision a cloth or fabric suit - like the Superman and Spider-Man suit.

I think if they wen twith the grey/black color combo - it could work. With a big cape that would wrap around him so that you only see the suit underneathe in glimpses - he's never just standing there like a Fruit-of-the-looms model (like Superman) LOL
