I've heard rumors of Hasbro doing a Star Wars-esque line That would be really expansive, and I got to thinking. Instead of just making figures of the 4 villains in the movie, why don't they create figures of the villains who were in the movie games too? Not only would we get more figures, but we would also get movie versions of villains who might never be in a movie! What do you think?

I don't know about that. Spider-Man's film-verse doesn't have a massive amount of characters in it. Even including the video games, which really aren't special in design except for Mysterio.

If they base it on the comic line, they'll have plenty of characters to choose from. I know it wouldn't happen, but I would love to see a 3 3/4" Spidey line.

why?
no articulation, no real sculpt quality to speak of... really all they have going for them is their price

Now, the 4" MArvel Legends Showdown line does very well in articulation and sculpt, but price is a bit high as there are alot of pack-ins.

I think Hasbro has the rights to make both the movie and comic book characters.

They definitely do.

As you can see, they'll be releasing two-packs featuring Toy Biz's old Movie Sculpts, so I think they'll probably be keeping SM3's movie figures in scale with them.

Movie Scorpion from the 1st Movie Game was pretty cool looking

Yeah, I would definently buy a figure of that.
How bout that Mysterio? Or Vulture? People really shouldn't have to buy a box set just to get Vulture.

Have you ever seen their G.I. Joe figures?

Yeah, those new ones are pretty cool. I wouldn't mind a line in that style.

I'm curious, do those action figures based on the comics actually boost in sales when the movie is released. I always thought that only the stuff based on the movie would sell well, that's a lot of extra action figures?

id like to see a line the size of Star Wars figures, possibly a little better quality if possible.
i think it would be great if the did an exstensive Spider-man 3 line, then back tracked and gave us the key players from 1&2 in the same style
somthing like
Series 1:
Spider-man, red & blue
sandman with exchangable limbs
M.J
Peter Parker
Eddie Brock
Green Goblin 2 with removable mask & Goblin Glider
Series 2:
Black Spider-man
Venom
Gwen Stacy
Battle ravaged red & Blue Spidey
Captain Stacy & Crook - i think you would need these two togeather as a Captain Stacy figure wouldnt be the most sought after by young children.
Series 3:
Deluxe
Quick Change Spider-man (Both Costumes)
Quick Change Venom
Quick Change GG2
have these figures come with some sort of diorama that fits togeather to make the final fight scene wherever that may be.
Series 4:
Green Goblin (Spider-man 1#)
Quick Change Green Goblin (Spider-man 1#)
Peter Parker (Spider-man 1#)
Doc Ock (Spider-man 2#)
Spider-man unmasked (Spider-man 2#)
Dr Connors
Aunt May
that would be great

That list ain't half bad! I like how you included Captain Stacy and the othernon super powered characters. I wouldn't mind Doc Ock and GG1 either, ias long as they were newly designed figures and not the same ones from the Spiderman 1/2 toylines.
