TMNT; the animation was awesome, the voice-work for the characters were great(especially Patrick Stewart as Splinter), the action sequences were awesome, everything for me was just enjoyable and I just personally loved this film(and I wasn't expecting much from it either but I ended up enjoying it overall).

I personally liked Freddy vs. Jason as well. I thought it was a good showdown but what I hate about reviewers is that they based this film off of how there was no connection between the teenage characters or some other load of crap like that. The film is called: Freddy vs. Jason, not: Teenagers & Freddy vs. Jason. The film was a showdown of the icons and I thought that it was really well done how Freddy kept playing with the mind of Jason and how each of them used their own style of techniques to take each other down. And finally, the climax of the film was amazing, it was so brutal and so violent, but really all it was, was all out fun. Not at all a masterpiece but it is surely an entertaining film for fans of these iconic characters.

Yeah, I thought that movie was enjoyable to watch.
The effects are downright horrible. The plot centering on a great white shark trying to rescue her baby (in the real world, sharks have no love for their offspring and have been known to eat them moments after giving birth) is laughable. The size of the shark is beyond being a joke. This movie is awful. But yeah, like you, I find it enjoyable to watch and I don't know why.

Well the critics are all split on the film; some of them like it, some of them hate it. I personally liked it because I didn't expect nothing more then a mindless but awesome 'shoot 'em up' actioner, and that's exactly what I got. Critics who complain that the film obviously did not read the title, the title stands for itself as saying that it is going to be a heavy actioner. And that's all it needed to be.

The fact that ones already being remade and ignored and the other almost certainly not getting a sequel is proof of that.
This is quite simply incorrect.
The making and remaking of films is almost completely reliant upon Box Office returns. Considering Batman Forever (a not very "faithful' adaptation) made more than Hellboy (a very faithful adaptation) its not really valid.
Superman III & IV beat it by default just by having Superman fight w/ super powered foes.

A lot of the cheesy action/sci-fi movies already posted apply to me, so I'll forgo reposting them and get to the other kinds of movies that I like but most people don't: boring movies, musicals, and boring musicals.

^There's never any love for musicals.
http://www.geocities.com/athens/parthenon/6261/hampost.jpg
^I am a mutant freak in that four hours of Shakespearean tragedy is heaven for me. I like almost anything by the Bard, but Branagh's Hamlet is fantastic (so is his Iago).
http://www.lovefilm.com/lovefilm/images/products/7/1377-large.jpg

^The critics love them, but, like Shakespeare, many normal moviegoers say that movies like these put them into a coma.

I know it gets a lot of flak, but its a movie that embraces its over-the-top sci-fi action craziness. You really really expect to hate it but it somehow manages to be fun because it never lets up.
Crazy movie based on a crazy book (they're quite different in spirit, but both are great in their own right).

The Music Man-(the one with Matthew Broderick) I think the singings much better.

Hudson Hawk-I was really surprised when I heard people didn't like it.

MEET JOE BLACK. A fantastic movie. One of the rew romantic dramas I can stand. It almost feels like a "throwback" film in some respects, something out of the 80's. But it has some of the best performances of the cast's career (Especially Pitt and Hopkins), and is just a touching, relevant movie that manages to be both uplifting and sad, and funny all at once. I know it gets a lot of flak, but its a movie that embraces its over-the-top sci-fi action craziness. You really really expect to hate it but it somehow manages to be fun because it never lets up.
Crazy movie based on a crazy book (they're quite different in spirit, but both are great in their own right).
Its got silly gore, explosions, crazy bootcamp cliches, michael ironside and gary busey's ugly son.
Plus: bugs blow up.

The Music Man-(the one with Matthew Broderick) I think the singings much better.
This may be the biggest blasphemy I've ever heard. The singing is "clearer" and "less grating". It is not "better". In fact, Broderick is hardly in character half the time. He does nothing with the material, and struggles to hit many of the notes. I was extremely disappointed with this one.

I actually agree with you on Broderick's part, but what good is a musical if you can't stand the singing? I say it's better simply because the female lead can actually sing, it's what makes the movie for me.

That's kind of the whole point behind the concept of THE MUSIC MAN. He's not a trained singer, or even a real musician. He's a con man who masquerades as one. It's more about the personality and the music than the singing itself. And the idea that even people without a background in or knowledge of music can be touched by it and enjoy it. Every member of the cast is more or less supposed to be an "amateur", except for Marian, which is why none of them sound "pleasing" when they sing. It's not your typical musical on any level.

Titanic.
Yeah, it's pretty much the most successful movie of all time, but all I hear now in days is how much people hate it and think it was so overrated when it was release. I completely disagree. I think it's a great film. I'd go as far to say it is the Gone With the Wind of our generation.
It had an all star cast that acted beautifully. Kate Winslet and Leo actually had some chemistry, something that a lot of movie couples don't have much anymore. And how about Billy Zane? He, along with the rest of the supporting cast, gave a pretty badass performance. James Cameron reproduced the time period and the ship almost perfectly, and the special effects were mind blowing for it's time.
Most of all, it had a compelling story and great direction on Cameron's part. The movie get's a lot of flack for focusing more on the love story than the Titanic itself, but that's what makes the picture great. It's about these two characters the fall in love amidst a tragedy. The film would have suffered without those central characters that showed us how awful the Titanic disaster truly was.

I totally agree, the movie was brilliant and everyone fell for the concept (at first).
For me I'd say
Fantastic Four - love the movie, have had conversations with several big f4 fans about it and we all pretty much came to the consensus that the movie was just as campy as the comic (early comics), my only problem was with doom, and still I even enjoyed him
Hackers - I can't explain how much I love this movie or why. I know I did watch it every night for about 4 or 5 months though (and that was only about a year ago)

ALIEN 4 better than ALIEN3? Oh no...
I love:
A.I. Artificial Intelligence (one of my favorite movies ever)
Hurlyburly (directed by Nichols, with Sean Penn, Kevin Spacey a.m.o.)
Bringing Out The Dead (Scorsese, N. Cage in one of his best performances)
Closer (Jude Law, Clive Owen, Natalie Portman, Julia Roberts)
S1M0NE (Andrew Niccol and Pacino)
Oh yeah S1M0NE, it was a little boring but I was glad that she didn't become sentient.

How about this one? It's perhaps the cheesiest martial arts flick I've seen except for Gymkata... but when I was a kid, I could never resist watching it whenever it came on HBO or Showtime:

It's also the first movie ever to use 'bullet time'.

My love of Matthew Broderick, helped along by Jean Reno and Hank Azaria, makes that movie for me.

I found it a lot more enjoyable than the recycled Toho movies.

These movies are almost universally considered crap...but I liked them for weird reasons:
Deep Blue Sea
Fire with Fire
Jason takes Manhattan
The Perfect Weapon
Last Action Hero
Over the Top

My Chaffeur (Deborah Foreman's best flick...IMO)
Godzilla 98' (though it's been on the list a few times, so I don't know how hated it is)
Alex Rider: Operation Stormbreaker (not sure why folks don't like this movie.)
Red Sonja (sorry, but I love this movie)
Lake Placid (that movie is great and funny as hell!)
Joy Ride (it's like Duel on crack)
Wrong Turn (funny as hell)
Friday the 13th VII (Jason battles a psychic...gotta love that)
Nightmare on Elm Street III (Dream Warriors...gotta love that)
Silver Surfer (idk...I liked that one)
13th Warrior (don't even know how someone couldn't like this)
A Knight's Tale (corny ass soundtrack, but just good fun. Bettany as Chaucer is funny)
Win a Date with Tad Hamilton (love this movie!)
Supergirl (because I still love that movie)
Brainiac Attacks (Superman DTV)
