BB was great and excellent movie, which had very good script and unbelieveble cast.
SR was also great movie, which had good cast and amazing action.
So which movie was best?
My choice is BB.

Yes but BB had better cast then SR. I could see Spacey as Luthor I believed he was Luthor and Routh was good choice but didn't like his Clark thought he was bit dull at sometimes and I'm sure Routh can improve things in SR sequel as Clark Kent. Kate Bosworth as Lois Lane I thought she was good but I miss Teri Hatcher as Lois in TNAOS.
As for BB cast, well Christian bale was best Batman/Bruce Wayne and he portrayed "playboy Bruce" and real Bruce" perfectly. Michael Caine well Caine was simply amazing I was bit worried that his cockney accent might get in the way but no He was good. Gary Oldman as Lt James Gordon - excellent he wasn't my choice because of the roles he played in movies but he proved me wrong. Liam Neeson and Morgan Freeman were just amazing - when they rumoured to be in BB I was thinking they wouldn't do a comic book movie but hey they were cast. Katie Holmes did well but it's her relationship with Cruise that bother me because she talked about it more then movie.

BB hands down.
SR still have A LOT more of flaws and non-credible parts to be BB's equal, but still, it's less silly than the old SUpes franchise to me.

Superman Returns.
Batman Begins is a very well constructed film but comes very close to throwing the baby out with the bathwater. Superman Returns, in ten years or so, will be considered something special.

Batman Begins. Bale has always been one of my fav actors of all time and seeing him as Bruce was great. Also this film was done in a realistic way, but it was still dark and gritty.
I loved Superman Returns. But it fell short to Begins.
Begins restarted everything and made me forget about the film that I shall not mention. Returns was a sequal, which I wasn't happy about. I still think it should have been restarted it.

Its funny, because the moment I left the theatre watching BB I considered it something special. Sorry but I wont be waiting around 10 years.

I didn't like the Lois scenes. Too boring. Not the Lois I envision. I was very let down by Superman Returns in general - for the same reasons I feared since the announcement. Turns out my fears weren't unfounded and it shows through the box office performance. I guess my expectations were too high after reading all the things Singer said about it during production. Too bad, nothing he said that got me excited ended up in the final product.
Batman, in the other hand, is a near-perfect film. It didn't promise anything that it didn't deliver.

After seeing them both, Batman Begins was much better than Superman Returns, IMO.

how is this a poll? SR failed in almost every way. Routh was a good call. That's is though.

Batman Begins.
To me, Superman Returns didn't have good casting or plot; just beautiful action. Brandon Routh was great for Clark Kent, but a stiff Superman. Kate Bosworth? Not much against her, but she's young and her Lois I just don't like. Of course, that's because of the script. Kevin Spacey. Great actor, bad directing on Singer's part. Perry: dull. Jimmy was good though.
Batman Begins has got it hands down. Too bad they had Katie Holmes in the movie though... It would've been perfect without her.

I thought that they were both great movies but I liked Begins a little better.
Batman Begins, Oh was that a easy one

Batman Begins easily. It was true to the comics, had great casting, action, plotting, script, direction, drama, and special effects.
The only thing that faltered for BB, IMO, were the up-close fight scenes. I understand Nolan's reasoning behind them, but I personally would have liked to actually see what Batman was doing.
Superman Returns had great casting, bad script, bad plotting, bad direction, great special effects, and had almost no action.
The movie is such a blatant imitation of Donner's original film that it's hard to find anything fresh from opening to end credits. Routh and Spacey honestly could have been fantastic in this movie if Singer weren't so hellbent on making them do their best impressions of Reeve and Hackman, and instead had let them do their own take on the characters.
