Ever notice that there are certain actors who reach a point in their careers where they just decide to play cops for the rest of their film lives? I don't know why, but it seems as if they come to enjoy being typecast. I'm not talking about "actors" like Steven Segal, who can't play anything else, but people who might actually have some legitimate range but for whatever reason, have been cast as police officers over and over again. Here are the ones that always come to mind:

BRUCE WILLIS

Denzel Washington

Samuel L. Jackson

Reginald Veljohnson

Except for Crocodile Dundee a limo driver yeah he mostly was a cop. Turner/Hooch. Die Hard. And ofcourse his Family Matters role a Carl Winslow.

Benjamin Bratt ALWAYS plays a cop too. How could I forget about him?

Bruce Willis doesn't always play a cop, but he's almost always in crime related movies. Cops, vigilantes, hitmen, that sort of stuff.

The are so many actors that you see and are like, "He plays a cop in everything!" Not even big name actors, just recognizable ones. I almost feel bad for them, never getting to explore as actors.

But hey...if they're good at it and are making money, good for them.

Cop is the common door to gritty action so i guess they want to have fun at a certain point in their lives.

John Wayne played alot of cops or the term sheriff or marshall.but when he wasn't a cop he was still mostly the good guy.
