So, Halo needs no introduction. It's the best and standard-setting console FPS series.

Joseph Staten gave a speech at some college a few months ago, saying that due to time constraints, the last three levels of Halo 2 were left unfinished... until now. They're apparently strapped into Halo 3, so maybe we'll get to see why Tartarus was actually important.

No, it's better. Seriously, people say "Halo is overrated omg" for attention all the time, but if anything it's underrated by all the jackasses pretending like it's just average. It has probably one of the best stories in all of gaming, with an AWESOME presentation, a soundtrack that is simply immense, always great visuals, and of course, some of the best gameplay in the biz. It's earned all that hyped.

The fact is that the games get excellent reviews, sell really well, and keep people playing for years after their releases.

I think it's safe to say we can look forward to Halo 3, even if it's not in our top 5 or even top 10 anticipatory lists.

Killzone failed twice. Resistance is more of a "Medal of Honor" than anything else. But with aliens.

I actually feel the battle rifle was closer functionally to the pistol from Halo 1. Only less powerful.

Halo, and yes, Halo 3 is overrated... but look at what it takes to Overrate Halo... "Halo is the best game ever. Period." "Halo is so good it can beat the PS3 by itself." "Master Chief is the coolest most badass hero. Ever." "Halo had perfect combat, storyline and graphics."

These are untrue statements, sure, but they are hardly as silly as saying the same thing about Spider-Man 2 the game, or Psychonauts. The Halo franchise is an extremely high quality franchise, from sound, to lack of giltches, to engaging story. The Halo franchise can actually dent PS3's numbers for any XBoxers who have to decide between getting a PS3 and Getting Halo 3. Halo has a great story, it has clean swift, fun replayable combat and the graphics are always comparable to the best of the time period. Halo may be overrated, but that just makes it awesome instead of the reason for our living.

That said, Halo 3, if it concludes the story properly, will be a great deal of fun. If the multiplayer is a decent size, we could have some serious fun. I think what would really make Halo 3 own would be four player co-op storyline. That'd just be sickening.

I'd say because the big draw to Halo is the story. It's so big and epic that people are would kill for some more. We want to know what's going to happen. Bungie knows this and nows they have to keep it under raps. They can't give too much away. And I believe it was just a teaser.

I'll finally leave the Hype, saying some VERY hurtful commens like "I never needed ANY of you, go suck a cucumber", but I'll be SO hurt inside.

After I leave, I'll be all bummed all the time, then forget about my trip to Canada, thus eliminating my chances of ending up with a Japanese girl, and ruining my life forever, because if I don't have a Japanese girl, what's the point in getting more eduaction and a better job?

Back in Mexico, I find myself less and less satisfied with playing videogames, and end up selling EVERY videogame I have, not for money....but for empty Coke bottles (yeah, cause at this point I'm not quite all right "up there"). My parents, worried about me, send me to the little town where mom grew up....which is hot, has NOTHING but desert, cows and 1 store, and I spend the rest of my life there.

A tiny sane part of my brain keeps wondering "What happened?"

Some decades later, a little kid (probably related to a Hypester), find an old "computer". Turns out his teacher asked him to do an essay on one of these old machines, go figure.

He turns it on and sees one of my msgs, then asks his uncle (or dad, the results haven't arrived yet) "Hey....who is this Gammy?"
He ponders for a minute then says "Hmm...no one", but deep inside he asks "Why? :("

"Uncle....?" the kid says..."Oh, I'm sorry....he's no one....now run along! Go do your homework in your holographic display".

The kid flies away (new technology in shoes).

There's lots of the feel of the original Halo, where you'll find yourself in a huge (dangerous) and intrinsically fascinating environment and just want to go tool around and check things out... At this stage in development, the encounters are very carefully placed. Sometimes that means you're in frantic firefights (on a significantly bigger scale than in Halo 2, although all I will confirm numerically is at least one more Grunt.) but there's also time for exploratory reflection and the, "Oooh, maybe I can climb up there and check that thing out," sort of play.

Don't get me wrong. It's not GTA - it's still Halo, but there's a bigger feeling scope to some of these levels that has me reminiscing about the original game.

He is ugly as hell, he has really white skin but thats because he almost never leaves his suit. He has no pupils or iris's. He has a huge scar on his left cheek and I believe he is bald.

Dude thats what I thought to, but if you look at it the ark doesn't have a white thing on it, and what makes his nose? I thought it was a ship too but there is no trace of it being a Banshee. And also the scar is darker than the visor itself showing that its not part of the visor itself.

Those are in-game models of what the game looks like right now, they took the back ground out because they gave it to a magazine company that just wanted pics of the creatures in-game so they could write little info on them.

Insomniac says that they don't do that s**t where they pre-render stuff like Halo 3 and Killzone did no matter how much they say its in-game I'm waiting for gameplay to see. But they don't ever want to show the fans something that they can't achieve. They say that the Playstation 3 will achieve that.

Oh and Mentok Insomniac improved the graphics from E3 and I love how you chose E3 screenshots to prove up against them.:down:

If what Bungie says about it following the original game then dude that is amazing. I didn't really like Halo 2 just because it didn't have the same feel as Halo 1 did, I got the vibe that they just came out with something so they could make money.

However I don't get that from Halo 3. Halo 3 I guess is going to be massive with its levels and not GTA massive but massive none the less. They say anywhere on the screen you can go to. And also I guess Frank O'Connor got in trouble because they have a new gun that he loves a lot and he just went around and killed everyone with it, just over and over again and wasn't really looking for bugs hahahahah.

I guess there is going to be a grapple gun in Halo 3 so thats a cool new turn out. Halo 3 is definatly going to possibly hurt the PS3's sales.
