The fact that their profiles say they're legal doesn't change the fact a couple of the girls look around 14. Weren't some of the ages upped for America too? The Japanese version had the girls at younger ages I think I remember someone pointing out.

The Dead or Alive girls, to my knowledge, don't have any disorder relating to age. They're just made to look as young as possible to appease fully grown Japanese men who can feel free to look at semi-naked children without feeling shame, or a prosecution.

It's just a little bit distasteful.

Actually to my understanding Avalanche is right on this one, some of the DoA girls are underaged. It's not too hard to find sites telling their original ages, I found 3 sites right off the bat confirming some of their ages, like Kasumi -

The doe-eyed (arguably) star of the series introduced in the first game, Kasumi is a runaway ninja who practices the Mugen Tenshi martial arts style, and also has an incredibly dislike of pants. She's 17, although the American games list her age as "unknown"." (That's the age as of Xtreme Beach Volley ball (edited because I was wrong and thought it was as of DoA 4), before that she was younger).

I have a friend that's a fan of the series, but personally couldn't get into it myself. He's planning on buying this one which means he'll be playing it everytime I come over :cmad:. Personally the age thing does throw me off a bit (23 here), but I don't really find the gameplay too fun on DoA games or their branch off games like this.
