It's extraordinary quality, that's the starting point. If people are seeking the ultimate machine, the PS3 is clearly the best spec machine as far as next-gen goes. As with all things in life, you have to pay for quality. It is absolutely beautiful to look at and you are getting virtual interactive cinema in the comfort of your own home. It's a very compelling selling point and Sony just has to educate people that yes, it's a lot of money, but it'll be worth it.

Any visual differences will come down to the talent that went into the game.

I'm suggesting it's not. Sounds like propaganda to me. Has it ever been shown or are developers/ediotrs trying to curry favor/show fanboyism by big upping the PS3? Where's the beef? Where's the pudding? Where's the specs? The numbers? Has anyone corroborated this concept? Or is it simply a bluff that can't be called on a system that doesn't exist yet (have developers even gotten the final kits yet?)

The only thing PS3 has is blu-ray... a more expensive, yet larger storage medium... they can use this to make bigger games, and typically that means better graphics... how much better? No one knows, not even Eidios, because, to my knowledge, the final dev kits haven't gone out...

Crash Bandicoot and Spyro the Dragon kicked ass before Vivendi came in and decided to not only take over the franchises but anally rape them as hard as they can. The first three Jak games and the Ratchet and Clank games were also pretty good

Agreed. Crash was a pretty defining game back in the day. Spyro, Ratchet and Jak have also received good critical analysis in the past, and Naughty Dog's PS3 game seems to have people excited.

Naughty Dog aren't up there with the best, but they're still proficient.
