Please, he's the one that threatened me with his extensive knowledge in filmmaking. I just find it funny that someone would whine about a split second moment of a scene shown in a teaser trailer and then suggest something that would look even worse.

I liked the scene. It cemented my opinion that Optimus is the best part of this movie. But, no, the scene wasn't particularly good as far as scenes go (think better scenes in WOTW trailers). The movie looks cool because it is, after all, based big robots. But, if you strip out our excitement... all you got is a typical cheese fest IMO.

We're all just lowering our expectations I think. We're all gonna have to check our intellect at the door and just go in for a fun- ultimately forgettable- eye candy ride.

P.S. Trust me. I REALLY REALLY want to love this movie. But that trailer was dumb. Cool-looking... but dumb.

I mean, pretty much not a single shot lasted more than 2 frames... in typical Bay Craptastic fashion.

I'll start it off:

1) Was I the only one that heard the classic transformation sound when the helicopter (blackout?) transforms? It's real quick and speeded up.

2) The "alien" recorded sound... tell me that didn't sound like Frank Welker.

3) The Takara83 tag at the bottom of the display when they're playing the alien recorded sound is pretty cool. Anyone else notice it?

I think I'm imagining all this stuff.

Damn good point. Putting limitations on their alt-modes in conjunction with their abilities (spec sheets people!) is very logical.

We never see Protoform BB, he has already been living on Earth for a while now. Just how long though is unclear though, if he starts off as an old Camaro (can't remember the year of the model) does that mean he has been on Earth since that model was first put into production. Personally I doubt it, he would have scanned the first vehicle in sight when he first arrived on Earth, being an old car. It's not until Sam tells him to "update" that he turns into the new concept Camaro.
