Duke Nukem Forever is actually farther along than you'd think, being as they restarted not too long ago.

It'll still be another two or so years, but it will be out someday. They really just want to get it done, because at this point, they know no one really cares but everyone wants to play it.

The very first Duke Nukem (you know, the 2d one) is a million and a half times better than Prey.

I think the Duke Nukem games are all really good, though I haven't played Manhatten Project. I think 3D Realms should actually make a serious game for once, but with old-school level design, where there are pedestals in every room. I dunno. I just have fond memories.

There is no way, unless you're a lighting nut, you can like Prey more than Halo 2.

But there is an extremely Deus Ex influenced game called "Bioshock" coming out for the 360 that you need to keep in mind. Remember: Bioshock.

^ Actually there is. I hated HAlo 2. I thought it was a downgrade from Halo 1 which to me was visually awesome but shallow. I liked Doom 3 and Snowblind more than Halo 2. Halo 2 was overhyped, repetitive, boredom to me repeating the same exact mazes over and over with different textures over them with the same hordes of monsters with lousy weapons. Hell even Red FAction 2 and Soldier of Fortune 2 were more fun than Halo 2.

This is my opinion not yours. To each his own. I'll remember Bioshock.

I'm hopefull for Halo 3. Halo 2 just didn't have any major upgrades in vehicles, the weapons really sucked even compared to Tuork (which had some of the best weapons ever), the levels were repetitive, etc... I'm surprised you didn't enjoy RF2. Loved those levels and weapons, and the mech was a blast. Did any of you play Snowblind on the X-Box. Whew now that was crazy.

F**kin' A! And well, I've seen Return of the Jedi. So since you brought Star Wars into this, Halo 3 will be Return of the Jedi. Although in terms of fan rankings I'm thinking Empire will be Halo 3 and Return of the Jedi will be like Halo 2. Yeah. See what you've made me do? And btw, Empire stopped logically. Halo 2 just ended when it was getting started.

I loved the sci fi elements borrowed from several films and games including The Matrix, Turok, etc...I loved the wall walking, spirit mode, the insane levels which were truly 3d, and the weapons were a blast. FPS are my favorite games and this was the first one I've played on the 360 and it blew away anything I've seen from Halo.

I now have FEAR and Gears of War sitting on my shelf. I think I'll do FEAR first.

Doing FEAR first is a good idea, because it will get the nasty taste of Prey out of your mouth, and won't graphically disappoint you if you don't play Gears.

Well I enjoyed Prey as you already know and someday you'll figure out that YOUR tastes are not the standard we all go by...and neither are popular tastes. Everyone enjoys different things for different reasons. FEAR is getting better as I move along. After that I'll play Gears.

I'm not going to say people aren't entitled to bad taste because they are, but just know that it really sucks to hear people saying Prey is better than FEAR, or Doom 3 is better than Halo when that's a kick in the nuts to gamers worldwide.

I never said Prey was better than FEAR. I have only just started FEAR, but so far I see nothing in FEAR better than Prey. However...I'm a major Sci-Fi freak more than a horror fan so that being said...As far as bad taste...who are you to say because someone likes something you don't it's bad taste. That's not a good way of thinking and it's definately not a way to get along with people on these boards or anywhere else. I also enjoyed Doom 3 more than Halo 1 or Halo 2. To me Halo was a bunch of repetitve levels with cool backgrounds, lousy weapons, and pathetic enemies. Prey was way more innovative in my mind so I enjoyed Prey more. I understand alot of people enjoyed Halo but I don't call them brainless or put them down because of it. So to each their own. At least we agree on Deus Ex and Riddick.
