I think Adrien Brody would make a good mad hatter.

Tall to be Mad Hatter. He could've been great Joker.

Andy Serkis or Martin Short for Mad Hatter.

Tall to be Mad Hatter.

Does The Mad Hatter's height really matter? Yeah, I know in the comics he is very short, but really, I don't think it matters as much as it does, say, to The Penguin.

That being said, I can't see Brody in the role. My choice for the part would be Brad Dourif.

His roles include Grima Wormtongue in the last two LOTR movies and Billy Bibbit in One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest, and he also did the voice of Chucky in the Child's Play series. He excels at playing creepy and eccentric characters such as The Mad Hatter, and I feel he'd be perfect for the part.

Well doesn't matter but the Mad Hatter I read in comics I can't see tall actor playing him. Would you cast short guy to play Harvey Dent? I don't think so.

Well, you have a point, but I still don't think height is a deciding factor in any role except The Penguin. Granted, I'm not saying we should go ahead and cast a 5'2 man as The Joker or Two-Face, but I really don't think it's a big deal.

That being said, Brad Dourif isn't that tall, so no harm done.

More of an Arkyum for me.

More of an Arkyum for me.

He was rumored to be up for Arkhum, but with more recent rumors it looks like Arkhum won't appear. Besides, I'd much rather see him as The Mad Hatter.

I think Paul Giamatti could make a really cool Hatter. He has the right look, he's super talented, plus (kind of like with Ledger) we've never seen him in a part like this, so it would be interesting.

I had an actor in mind for the role of The Mad Hatter, but I forgot who it was.

Intersting idea of Martin Short being The Mad Hatter, but I don't quite see a dark twisted humor side of Short.

I really don't want to see Adrien Brody in a Batman movie now. I really wanted him to be Joker. Now if I see him as anybody else it'll just remind me that I'm pissed he didn't get the role. Blessings to Heath Ledger though:up:

Robin Williams is perfect for the mad hatter. Tony Hopkins would be good too.My top two picks! My vision of the Mad Hatter is that of someone a little older, pudgy and with an inviting,father-like persona on the surface but with a disturbed darkly obsessed side within. The more he realises what he is doing is wrong, the more emerced in the Alice in Wonderland character he becomes.

I can somewhat see Adrien Brody as The Mad Hatter.
Probably because when I think of The Mad Hatter, I usually think of the animated version where he honestly was fairly tall. Don't think I would give Brody blonde hair though.

A lot of people mention Martin Short for Hatter, but is it only because he looks like the character? I have never really rated Short as an actor so I just don't see it. I love the idea of Dourif though.

I used to be for Short. Then I realized how rediculously out of place he'd be in a Batman movie.

Did you see Martin Short on Law and Order: SVU?

Well, remember, Martin Short did play the actual Mad Hatter in an Alice in Wonderland a made-for-tv adaptation a couple of years ago.

Personally, I don't ever want to see the Mad Hatter in a Batman movie.

No Mad Hatter for this franchise.Please. Brody was good in Hollywoodland though and not a bad Joker candidate.

What's wrong with Hatter for this franchise? Dont right, he could be totally realistic and very dark.

I'd want him to be the Hatter depicted in Arkham Asylum; pedophiliac undertones and a drug user. Also I'd like his personality to be in stark contrast to his look for example to look at him is to see a kind loving man, as someone else said he's fatherly, kind of like a quaint old man from old Brittan but as mentioned before he's a pedophile and so forth. A short temper and kind of a wife beater but you (Or more precisely the kids) only see this in him when it's too late. Perhaps his want for children is due to some personal loss, possibly of a daughter and it was that tragic loss that brought his schizophrenic side to the surface. An actor to play him might be Anthony Hopkins who can undoubtedly (And evidentally) play the role of psychopath and kind man.

^Not attacking you or anything but I don't get why people think he would make a good Joker. He may not be extremely young...but he looks that way. Also, I couldn't see Brody looking or acting sadistical enough as The Joker. I could go into more detail but I really don't want to. :O

Also, as to the topic of this thread...he would also be a horrible choice for The Mad Hatter. That is like all these nominations for Rachel McAdams or Brittany Murphy in other threads...it doesn't make sense; poor choices.
