I assume they would explain it, as I don't think he would scan an animal and not the rest of them.

what i'm wondering if the scorpion is his robot mode and his alt mode is something else from earth that is part of the chopper or something. Kinda like lazerbeak.

But if he has a humanoid robot mode then cool.

In the webcast they said that when we see him in the environment they put him in, it will make perfect sense.

His alt-mode is being part of Blackout and his robot mode is the scorpion.

Basically what Shenobi said but he won't have a humanoid mode.
