I just bought one actually, before the price drop, but I ended up getting about a 60 dollar discount + a free 256 meg memory stick + a 15 extra dollars off for a game.

I love me my PSP. :o

How did you manage to get yourself so many discounts?

I want a PSP. The games are starting to hot up now.

Hmm, I really need to get a PSP, and my own DS. :(

Even after a price drop, I couldn't afford one.

It's ok though, I love the DS.:O

Zenien, what PSP games do you have?

Zenien

Only Daxter so far.

The way I got such a big discount is that oneof my friends works at Walmart (10 percent discount), I picked up the in actual fact had been on display for all of 6 hours display copy that hadn't been touched (That begets another discount) and my friend also used a 20 dollars off cupon (begetting yet another discount) and had an extra 256 meg memory stick that he threw in for free because he had been like "Get the PSPl" forever, and has a ton of money, and such is how I came to obtain it.

It was like a the stars aligned, though I need to track down the necessary things for online play and being able to transfer files to my 256 card. (Since it was a core PSP not a bundle).

I was playing nothing but Metroid Prime Hunters, but I haven't touched my DS since I started playing Daxter. The first few missions are really slow and give you a bad impression, but after that it shoots right up there. It's really an awesome game.

The next PSP game I'll be getting is Syphon Filter, probably. The PSP is so awesome. The "it has no good games" mantra couldn't be farther from the truth.

Dark Mirror is a fantastic game

Man, the PSP has been so dissapointing for me. With the exception of the Mega Man games, I've gotten bored or hated every game I've played for it.

I do want Tekken however, but my money's mainly focused on my 360. Damn you Enchanted Arms.

And I can't wait for GTA: VCS. Vice City was the best GTA. Period.

Its still too expensive :down.

Plus a lack of good games really... Although LOCO ROCO does rock and I do want to give MGS-PO a try.

With VCS and Portable Ops dropping soon.. A PSP may indeed be in my future.

It's definately become a much more attractive option than it was. I can't afford anything other than food right now :( , but if I had a bit of money set aside I'd definately pick myself one up.

Totally. The gameplay is badass and there's nothing like stabbing people in the stomach or the neck.

Tekken, Syphon Filter, Valkyrie Profile, Wipeout Pure, GTA:LCS, Loco Roco, Lumines, Daxter, etc, are DEFINATELY not bad games.

They are still not worth buying a PSP for. All those games you listed (apart from LOCOROCO which I said rocked in my post) are all pretty average and not that spectacular... Add teh PSP controls and it makes those good games worse.

Still... Nothing worth getting a PSP for (apart from LOCO ROCO and its acid induced weirdness)

Tekken, Syphon Filter, and Liberty City Stories don't suffer from controls unless you have

freakishly gigantic hands.

Yes they do. You have the stupid PLAYSTATION D-Pad Design and the dumb thumb nub to thank for that.

While you're right on the money with the D-Pad (worst D-Pad ever!), the nubbie isn't too bad.

Its ok once you get used to it... It really needs more movement in it though.

Anyway, the important thing that people know is that LOCO ROCO rocks and the japanese suck for not instantly loving its weirdness.

Syphon Filter is amazing, for PSP, controls and all, it kicks major ass. Maybe you should actually try it before you judge it.

It actually sold not badly, it's at 80k right now. For the type of game it is, and not being on the DS, that's not bad.
