As much as I'd like to say this is a bad move by Fox, I'd say its a more of a moot move. No one's going to rise up against Fox and boycott (although we should've after X3 and that whole campaign of deceit). However, if they think any of us are going to see NoM because the F42 trailer is SOOOO big they're kidding themselves. F4 did well, but it in no way has the following that, say, Spider-Man, Harry Potter, or Star Wars has.

This was simply a moot move that'll put fans in an unpleasent mood and make them judge the trailer, and movie overall, a tad more harshly.

It's also a tad disrespectful and inconsiderate. Like at their website, it says "Go see Night of the Museum to see the new trailer." Even the langauge is cocky and condescending -- an order. How about, "Now Playing with Select Copies of Night of the Museum."

This is a move that in its mootness, showcases more typicaly Fox-greed, alot of doubt in NoM, and also an overalll insensitivity towards fans.

My interest is piqued by what I've seen of the teaser. It got a couple of wows out of me and I look forward to seeing it when released online. With that said, I'm still cautiously optimistic over FF2, at best. It's still Fox and after X3, damn if I get too hyped up about one of their projects based on trailers. I hope this thing plays out better than the first. The potential is certainly there, although it was there for the original too.

I really don't think many people are going to see this NOM just to see this trailer. And if they do -- no offense -- you just got fooled and bought. Going to see a movie just for the trailer is beyond pathetic...there are better ways to spend one's money and time.

I seriously have little respect for people who go to see NOM just for this trailer. They are purposely letting themselves be dupped and roped along and, reaffirm for companies, that pulling **** like this in the future works....when really, the vast majority of us are all waiting for it to pop online and not give into Fox and toss them money.

When you go to a car dealership, you go in and the salesperson attempts to sell you on their product, on their cars, right? Now, say Joe's Car Lot releases this awesome new car and wants to make sure it does really well. But, in order for people to view and test drive this car, you have to pay $10 to test drive a mediocre car that Joe's Car Lot is trying to clear out. You don't have to buy it, just test drive it and pay $10. After which, you can then go examine and inspect and test drive their new awesome car. Would you say that's fair?

No, I think for some fans there is more behind this. This is yet ANOTHER SNUB by Fox to fans. It started with the first F4, which while barely passable as a good movie, failed to connect with a lot of people. It reeked of studio politics and mass-marketing injections like rock/pop music, extreme sports, etc. It was a movie made to make money, not to explore a group of ordinary, bright people who are gifted amazing abilities.

There's a huge difference. As much as one may hate Superman Returns, it is a movie that explores what happens when Superman returns to an Earth that's moved on beyond him. Yes, it has its Hollywood moments, but neveronce are you yanked from the film by an overt product placement or song placement that reminds you of something outside of the film, rather then immersing you more in it. X-Men 3, as much as I hate it and it has its own set of studio controls, sticks to this as well. It's a movie, not a debit card on film.

Then you have X-Men 3 which was...regardless if you like the movie...horrific in terms of how far Fox went to decieve fans. Everything from the preproeuction set reports, to the trailers, to the notorious Penn and Kinberg blogs, to the "Sneak Peek of X3" on the F4 DVD reeked of a concern over the bottom line above that of the consumer.

So this movie, AGAIN, by Fox is just another snub that pisses people off. Their favorite characters are in the hands of someone who plays with the consumer's dollar and violates the inviolate trust between consumer and manufacturer and does so using their fanboysim as a tool to their own demise.

It's sad and somewhat unethical...and it will catch up with them. Look at Fox's Blockbuster movies the past few years and while they make money, find the one's that get great reviews. They're not. F4 was panned as was X3 for the most part. This will show later on, when F42 sees better DVD profits and rental profits then they do in-theater numbers.

But yeah, I'm not a huge fan of Fox. They DID butcher Daredevil, studio controlled both X3 and Fantastic Four with rushed schedules and questionable decisions (Cyclops dying), ruined The League of the Extraordinary Gentlemen, again butchered Kingdom of Heaven, and the list goes on. Hell, they even had a limited release of Borat, thinking it wasn't going to do well.

The closest label I'll accept here is that I'm a "Singer-ite" which required I be a Marvel person for quite a while, as did Raimi's two Spider-Man movies which I love. I mean it is nothing to write home about. It still obviously has (IMO) the lame dialogue just from the trailer. And besides while it looked sweet it was selling it all on SFX. SFX that are much better than the first, but I wasn't sold on deeper characters or plot.

CGI isn't the only thing in the world. To see a great teaser watch the one for Spider-Man 2. This impressed me enough to consider seeing it in tehaters, but first I'll want to see a trailer that proves it is a much better story and not another lame sitcom//comedy thing with lots of product placement. And I'd also like to see a few good reviews for this one.

Personally I liked x3, and yeah i scratched my head at some of the crap they did but hey what can you really do? Either boycott a film or get your own studio up and running and do a film the of this genre the way it's supposed to be done. I know it's easier said then done, but the really sad thing is despite all our *****ing and unhappniess we still go a see the product anyway.

While a few of the past comic flicks have been good none of them has still hit the mark perfectly. I think Superman Returns was pretty close despite all the lameness and lovesickness that Singer injected into the movie. Spiderman also was decent on that level. One day people we'll get someone who'll actually do this. I think it's also important to note that not everything no matter how much you believe in is going to work on the big screen, so some leway has to be given.

I mean it is nothing to write home about. It still obviously has (IMO) the lame dialogue just from the trailer. And besides while it looked sweet it was selling it all on SFX. SFX that are much better than the first, but I wasn't sold on deeper characters or plot.

CGI isn't the only thing in the world. To see a great teaser watch the one for Spider-Man 2. This impressed me enough to consider seeing it in tehaters, but first I'll want to see a trailer that proves it is a much better story and not another lame sitcom//comedy thing with lots of product placement. And I'd also like to see a few good reviews for this one.

It was cool, but nothing to write home aobut, I thought anyway.

I have friends that do it all the time. They go see a movie, then download a copy from the internet. It is illegal if you make more then 1 copy and give it to or sell it to your friends. That is what the term license means. You pay to see the movie you have bought a licence to that movie, you see it 2 times that is 2 licenses to the movie, ect. I saw FF 9 times, so I have 9 linceses, but I still bought my copy from Wal-Mart.

We know from earlier reports that Sue and ben and Reed are invloved in protecting people from the helicopter crash. Now we know that johnny has to be saved from his sky dive which if they string it out right might be something in itself.

think about it they moved too fast for anyone to get to torch in time.

I don't think the surfer saves him so I am assuming that reentry will wake up the Human torch.

This people is the opening sequence. The opening sequence.

When we think about that and compare SR 10 million dollar krypton scene that was cut to a reentry crash and even his plane rescue we are talking serious stuff here.

Then we have Doom and stuff, we already know what happens to the Fantasticar and they have to survive that or whoever was in that module at the time.

It really is looking like Story is serious, this may be a real action film in the true sense of the word.

now I know this must cost and now we are seeing what Story was talking about back in the summer when Fox said you have to cut out something.
