So yeah, according to UK magazine X Box 360, Ubisoft has confirmed that AC will ''100%, definitly'' be coming to 360.
I know there's already a thread of AC but I thought this was a worthy topic on it's own.

Why would they make it up though? If they did that, ubisoft could probably sue them and they would loose all credibility. This isn't an internet website, its a gaming magazine which still has an expectation of professionalism to it.

Yeah but sites have no real credibility/journalistic ''credibility'', so I can see them getting away for it, but the magazine said Ubisoft announced it, and if they didn't that's more than a rumour, that's pretty much grounds for slander I'm guessing.

ONLY IF THEY CAN PROVE THE STATEMENT(S) HURT THEIR SALES OR REPUTATION. IN THIS CASE, IT ONLY ADDS FURTHER INTRIGUE/INTEREST IN ONE OF THEIR FUTURE PROJECTS, SO THAT CERTAINLY WOULDN'T BE THE CASE.

Now, I don't hate Sony, in fact, I will get a ps3 eventually to play Resistence, MGS4 and some other games, but Jesus Christ, are they so f***ing insecure about their wonderful machine that they have to PAY companies to keep them quiet about releasing certain games on a console that's not the ps3? :rolleyes: :down

To me, even the best ones such as ign.com are still way below magazines when it comes to things like opinions and news. So I can understand why you are so cynical, being used to all the bull**** and false rumours that come from following said websites like they were worth a damn.

It's because the internet is such a place of half truths that ubisoft doesn't take it seriously enough to pursue legal action. Print, however, is a different beast entirely. It has credibility. It cannot just make up ''announcments''. If it was a rumour, they would have said it was a rumour.

And that's why I have a problem with good people like you buying a ps3 AT ALL.
You buying it basically gives them license to do stuff like that, because its saying ''hey you can get away with this **** because ill buy your console anyway''. Its why Im not getting one.
I know it has some games you really want to play, but sometimes you just have to take a firm stand and sacrafice.

fine, teh internet is a fully credible source full of chivilrous internet journals of reputation, such as ign and gamespot, which aren't more or less fanboy run sites.
The print world is full of loses who couldn't get exclusives and get into shows if they were president of ea.
and finally, assasins creed IS ps3 exclusive and will never, ever ever ever ever EVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEER appear on another console.

Well then, you can't really complain about sony's tactics since you're kinda encouraging them by buying the product. Thats the way I see it anyway.

Dude thats pretty cool for you 360 fans<Not calling you fanboys. I think that is pretty cool cause I know a lot of you guys said you wanted it on your chosen platform and now supposedly its coming to it.
However it makes me sad that its not going to be a PS3 exclusive, Sony really needs to step up on their game and have some amazing exclusives, first we had Grand Theft Auto but then it went over to Microsoft, then we had Assassin's Creed but its going over to Microsoft.
Well at least we have God of War, thats the one that really matters.

Do I disagree with how Sony is handling things? Yeah, like I've said before.
But just because the marketing guys and/or corporate big-wigs are ***holes, it doesn't mean that I shouldn't be able to enjoy what some very skilled game-makers are going to bring.
I'm not really on a crusade to stop Sony from being ***holes (in fact, they'll either understand what they're doing, or they're going to fail....real bad, support from Sony fanboys or not), but I don't think getting a Ps3 at any given date while at the same time complaining about them makes me some kind of Sony lover.
I'm also pretty sure I've said several times that while I will NEVER pay 600 bucks for this, regardless of any extra stuff the machine has (blu-ray, coffee maker, time machine, etc)....I will get it eventually to play games.
But hey, if you think that makes me a bit of a hypocrite, that's Kool & the Gang, you know.

Sometimes it seemed like Ps3 fans (not onlyy here, gamefaqs too and pretty much every board where AC was mentioned) didn't want this game to hit any other platforms.

And do NOT give me that "exclusivity = more units = 155% more sales during the first quarter" crap, it's a retarded way of thinking. Companies will want to make more money, and to do so they will try to release games for more than 1 console. Get it through your heads.
EVERYONE should be able to play great games, regardless of which console they have. I can understand stuff like MGS or Halo, which we know would never hit the other platforms (well, MGS kinda did, but you get my point), but a game like this? Whose developer has almost always made its titles available for every console?
And to go as far as to say incredibly retarded stuff like "Yeah, the 360 version will have dumb AI, yeah, the Ps3 version will have smell-o-rama"....Jesus Christ :rolleyes:

Just about all of those games you listed are not coming out until mid 2007. At Launch there is no reason to get a PS3 unless your a really big HD nut & one game that a few users here whore out on a daily basics is certainly not enough to spend $600 on a Console

I can't believe Steve Irwin died.
I always thought a Croc would have done it... but a stingray...
It's ironic, because stingrays are really docile... my grandpa swam with them and is still alive.
My mom got stung by a stingray...she kept herself submerged in a tub full of hot water for 5 hours because of how painful it was.
