They should make an FPS about the current war in Iraq. But the twist would be that at the beginning of the game you choose one of two buttons "Willing" or "Able". If you pick able, the end of the game is a happy return to the family you didn't want to leave for a corrupt war. If you pick "Willing" you die no matter what.

Depends on what campaign you picked to do. Something based on the Battle of Gallipoli would be awesome. Other ones probably not so much.

Halo's appeal is that the majority of the people have a blast playing it, the majority of the people like that it looks great, the majority of the people like that it has an awesome soundtrack, and the majority of the people enjoy it's interesting, well crafted story that manages to get away from the cliche of "hey, those guys are evil aliens and hate humans, kill them".

You asked, essentially, why everyone liked it, and I listed several qualities that the games have that make them like it. I really don't know what else you want, scientific lab results that prove a matter of personal taste? I've given you the only answer you're ever going to get. And yes, it's more than your standard first person shooter. If by "standard first person shooter" you mean "you shoot things from the first person perspective", then yeah, sure, it meets the requirements for inclusion in the genre. Other than that, there's nothing "standard" about it. If you really can't see what people like about Halo, then I don't think you'll be playing games for much longer, because as far as overall game quality goes, it's only downhill from there.

Yeah, Halo sucks because of its generic story (I liked it much more the first time I saw it....when it was called Starship Troopers), and its stupid alien weapons.

Halo 1 is kinda good, but Halo 2 (other than the earth Levels) blows like....too damn much.

It's just kickass in all aspects. COD2 is very intense and fun online, but it doesn't have a soundtrack that'll make your hairs stand up, plus a great story, or Co-op. Half-Life 2 has a brilliant SP, but no MP..

The first one was ok but honestly the weapons and levels in Turok Evoloution were better, however the back ground graphics were awesome...the character animations blew chunks. Again Deus Ex, Project Snowblind, Wolfenstein, Doom 3, Red Faction were all much more fun IMO. Halo was pretty to look at though. Halo 2 was freaking total BS waste of my time. It was a joke IMO. I finished it so fast and it ended just when I was waiting for the big finale. It was like WTF?

What, don't any of you ever watch or read sports news? Those two are the top atheletes in their fields. Michael Schumacher is to F1 and Ronnie Coleman is to professional bodybuilding today the same way in what Muhammad Ali is to boxing, Michael Jordan is to Basketball and Pele to Soccer.

He was most probably talking about "hating the king" syndrome that's common among many people i.e, anything or anyone extremely popular or of superlative quality in it's field and suddenly it becomes trendy and cool to hate and bash it.

That will never happen, but that is wishful thinking though. The first "Bond" game (for the 360) will obviously be a game based on the "Bond 22" movie, releasing Nov. 7, 2008.
