Let me play Devil's Advocate for a sec
Put it this way: Denzel Washignton gets a lot of parts written for him and essientally plays the same character every role. Does that make him less of an actor or do we praise for constantly bringing a boisterous "presence" to the role?

Why do we not give Denzel a pass? Because he's Denzel? Because he eanred his due? But how does that validate his last few films? Because he worked and brought his presence despite the role being catered for him in the writing

In fact a better example would be Christian Bale, who's really stuck in second gear in roles catered for him to be his brooding self but hasnt brought a presence to any role since argubaly Rescue Dawn.

I look a itt like this: Yes, a lot of good performances depending on how much a writer is willing to do with a character and what specfically the director is looking for. But ultimatley if it works, credit the actor too for going through with it.

I believe the only reason a script like that made it into theatres and not straight to DVD was because the writer won or was nominated for her Juno screenplay.

So, speaking of Megan Fox, I saw Jennifer's Body last night. What a terrible movie. I don't know what she was trying to pull off, but her acting was just terrible in it. Coupled with her annoying co-star, and that awful ending, I am surprised I managed to sit through the whole thing. If you ever have the chance to see the movie that doesn't cost you money, I still could not recommend anyone this ****.

On the topic of Megan Fox, I think she's pretty, not flat out hot like some people think, but she ain't bad. She needs to work on her acting though.

I understand taking out scars, cellulite and stretch marks, that sort of thing. And re colouring the skin to look more "healthy". But the Tattoos are what she wants to be on her skin so it's kinda sad that to turn me on she has to get them photoshoped out.
