It's a dead pixel, and I'm sure that the retailer you purchased it from will exchange it for a new one.

It's actually a stuck pixel, but yeah, you should be able to exchange it.

Anyway, it's probably a dead pixel. You could probably send it to Nintendo since you should still be eligible for the warranty or more conveniently exchange it at the store you got it from.
