Frank Miller did make some money off of this film right?

I somewhat remember news of a bevy of writers getting some cash for it. Miller, Loeb, O'Neil...guys like that. I think, at least - it was quite awhile ago that I heard about it.

Yes, it happened about 2 or 4 weeks after Batman Begins was released in theathers.

But,.......Year One and Batman Begins aren't really that much alike. The comparisons can probably be made on one hand alone.

Really, the most BB did was take some scenes from and make some homages to YO. It terms of plot, tone, moral-of-the-story, etc. they were quite different.

I mean, the only thing I'd say was directly taken from Year One would have to be Jim Gordon. That whole Good cop, stuck in a corrupt GCPD thing is all Year One.

But, Loeb.....Flass......drastically changed really. In some ways, Falcone too.

And yeah, there's homages.....like the Bat-swarm device.

Batman, I'd say, is totally different though. Much more focused by the time he retrurns to Gotham....whereas Miller's Bruce/Batman is still very much lost....not as direct.
