yeah... i don't doubt Venom would make a cool comeback for a 4th... it's just Sam's frustrated fans with 2 movies with not using Lizard, i don't think for a moment he'll go with another movie without using Lizard... well, maybe he would if he formed a sensable story line that FORCED him to wait till 5... but even then he'd probobly hint that he's coming up for the 5th...

I just don't think he'd fit the movies well.

So I think lizard could be the main physical villain in SM4 and venom could be the psychologically unstable menace that messes with Parker's mind which could lead to a major battle in SM5.

Sort of depends on how well done Venom is in three. I personally always loved his orgin but got tired of him after that.

Lizard is one of my favs, plus Conners has already been featured and since he has a family and such it can provide good emotion. And possibly tie into Peter thinking of starting a family himself or something. All movies from this point on are likely to have more than one villain though.

Lizard would be interesting, but I kind of wish they had had him for the third and had Sandman for later one. Way back when no one knew the villians of Spiderman 3, I was hoping it'd be a story about Lizard with an introduction to Eddie Brock who would later become Venom and then have the fourth all about Venom. Oh well.

It was officially announced one character from THE LAST SPIDER-MAN was being talked to about returning for Spider-Man 4, WHO HAD DIED. Well...I wonder who this could be...

I think the Lizard WILL be the next villain to appear, but Venom would be the best addition to the plot.

The Lizard definitely should be the villain in the 4th Movie. But I wouldn't mind Venom making a return. Although him being vaporized in the explosion makes it pretty unlikely.

But I imagined that scene in my mind. Spider-Man is facing the Lizard in the sewers and it comes to a fight. Knowing who the Lizard truly is, he holds back and takes a lot of damage simply trying to defend himself.

Spider-Man lies battered and wounded on the ground, as the Lizard pounces towards him to deliver the final blow. As the Lizard is in mid-jump, he suddenly falls to the ground. Behind him we see Venom holding his tail and he talks "Back off Barney. Parker is ours!" Feral fight ensues. :sym:

what if the lizard is the main villain, then let the movie play out, during a battle with spidey in his lab, he breaks the vial containing the symbiote, (he still has some remember), it escapes, bonds with cletus kasady, carnage is born at the very end, stage set for number 5.

I was often skeptical about having Lizard appear in a future film due to his appearance. The movies has never been (so far) constricted to the idea of "realism", so far everything that has occurred in the films has remained rather calm for lack of a better term, with the exception of the alien symbiote. However, even that went overlooked by several of my friends who are less familiar with the comics. (Maybe it was the rushed natural of the film that it didn't have a big impact?)

Having a giant Lizard man running around through the streets seemed a bit too much for these films, especially if there was some crazed jungle man chasing after him. However, seeing how seamlessly Venom and his alien origin was integrated into SM3 (even if you didn't like his lack of screen time, you have to admit that Venom made the 3rd act work), I think Lizard can actually work.

That being said, some changes might be needed due to similar storylines used for Doc Ock and Sandman respectively.

Does this mean I would like to see Kraven as well? Absolutely not.
