Easily the 60's.

Yep, the 60's.

Followed by the 1980's.

The 70's started off well but ended up very mediocre. The 90's started off well but ended up terrible.

:yay: 70's for me.

I certainly appreciate the 60's, but i was actually old enough to start buying my own (i.e; bugging my parents) Spidey books in the seventies, and so that decade remains very special to me.

The Drug Issues, Morbius, the Six Armed saga, Death Of Gwen Stacy, Death Of The Goblin, Man-Wolf, Punisher, Jackal, Harry as GG2, The original Clone Saga, Spider-Mobile, the mystery of GG3, the Human Fly, Black Cat, the "last" Kingpin story, the original "Death" of Aunt May, and the truly excellent return Of The Burglar....i was there for all of that, and i loved every minute of it. :word:

I have to agree with CaptainStacy. The death of the Stacy's is what set SM apart from other heroes. The drug thing made the comics more realistic, and I really liked to see the growth of MJ after Gwen died. The scene between MJ and Peter in ASM 122, is the best I have seen in all my years of reading comics(about 5).

Anything prior to the Clone saga... during and after it got a bit depressing.
