Ok i havent heard anyone say anything about this but has anyone noticed the sybol that keeps popping up all over the place? First i saw it in a painting in Isaacs apartment when Hiro went into the future. Second i noticed it in Dr. Suresh's computer inside that algorithm of his. And i just noticed it doodled on the side of Claires geometry book. So Im just wandering if anyone has any theories on this or if anyone else has noticed it.

what I can guess is that it is half of the double helix of DNA and those are the base codes that give these people the powers

and I hope this isn't some secret corporation like in "LOST" with the Hanso Foundation

he might have come up with it. it was inside his algorithm repeated over and over maybe it was some kinda key to finding the hidden genome or whatever

Before reading this thread i didn't have a clue why the Symbol. But after reading the DNA theory i'm in agreement with Gold Samurai.

The symbol does look like the parts of the DNA strand that is altered resulting in the individuals unique abilities. Though weather it was Dr Suresh that came up with the symbol or if Syler did we don't know yet.

It's been seen all over the place. In Sylers room, in the guys computer algorithem. On the book his dad wrote. On Claires book. In the cocaine guys house painted. On the blackguys neck. In the hiding room the kid was in.

It's just something that people can look for as type of thing to do i guess.

It also was in the pool at the house Matt was at in the second episode. It was like a pool cord with three other white things there. Don't know if you guys noticed that one. My friend and I came to the same conclusion you guys did about the DNA strand. I dunno, but it sounds good... Can't wait to see if there's a purpose or if it's just an easter egg as some have suggested.

Great show. Very intrigued by the symbol.

First saw it in in Ep 2 in the future artist's studio:

In this painting it looks to me like an alien spacecraft - very three dimensional and tubular, floating in a blue sky.

Then I started noticing it everywhere. The DNA helix thing makes as much sense as anything right now.

Hiro rules. Vegas should love him.

Aside from it being the sign for Oil...it's also the known segments of the human DNA strand. As in that's the only parts mapped as well as found to do certain things in the human body.

o wow i totally didnt notice this symbol poping everywhere till i read this thread.

it certainly make sense that the symbol is based on a DNA helix strand. maybe those particular 3 DNA tags are the "mutated" parts which gives those who have powers their powers.

I saw that as well. I'm really interested in what it could mean. I have a feeling it means something evil.
