This is influenced by Zenien's thread over on the PS board.
Soon we should be able to pre-order the Wii in force.
Here is where you name what you ordered along with the Wii; games, accessories, ect ect....
Have fun!:woot:

When they do start taking pre-orders....
I'm going with the system (obviously) and LoZ:Twilight Princess.
After that, I'll just pick up a spare controller at EB since I seriously doubt I'll need to reserve that. And if reviews are good, I'm picking up Red Steel too. I'm thinking of waiting for M:UA to drop in price since Raven's roster is pretty half assed.

Already pre-ordered:
Twilight Princess
Red Steel
Rayman Raving Rabbids
Excite Truck
Elebits
Trauma Center: Second OpinionOfficial reports have indicated that the Wii console itself will be available for pre-order this Friday, but I called my local gamestop and they say that know nothing about it.
IMPORTANT FOR Wii OWNERS:
GoNintendo.com reported that a purchase of 5000 Wii Points will come with a free VC controller.

The Wii, Red Steel, and Ultimate Alliance. My house mate is getting a Wii, Twilight princess, Excite Truck, and an extra Wiimote and nunchuku... which means I get five games instead of 3 (including wii sports). Except he'll be hogging Twilight princess for a couple of months.

VC Controller?
Also what's the $ to Wii pt ratio?
It's often referred to as the classic controller. You'll be able to play your Virtual Console games with it.
And I'm not positive on the $/Wii Points transfer. I think that 5000 is $50. But I'm not sure.

I was under the impression you could play VC games with your wii-mote though? Is that still true (it hopes so as the VC controller is a waste of money).
Anyway:
1) The Wii (obviously)
2) The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
3) Red Steel
4) Marvel: Ultimate Alliance
5) A second Wii-Mote/Nun-chuck (I probably won't pre-order this but just buy it instead).

In Canada, Future Shop and Best Buy are slowly getting their act together. Best Buy online has a countdown clock, Future Shop has a link setup where you can order one, of course when you click on it, it tells you to wait for updates.
Both those stores were all over the 360 launch, I'm thinking next week with a month to go to launch they'll have more info.
Wal-Mart Canada just had the systems with 'coming soon!' in the flyer and on their site they have some pics for the PS3 no mention of the Wii.
Rogers Video Online had their pre-order 'event' last week (Wii and PS3) but of course they had limited quanities and sold out fast. They did mention they would be selling a few from each store.
Haven't gone to EB Games Canada, the one I went to just pissed me off too many times. http://www.psxextreme.com/ps3-news/323.html You can go there starting Monday Oct.16. with the same situation in the states.
Zellers apparently had a presale where you buy the system, Rayman and Excite Truck.... $455 no thanks. Superstore will probably have the best and cheapest pre-order package.

Nope. I'm gonna see if Toys R Us, KB, or Target is taking preorders.
This is all Microsoft's fault. If they didn't have a ****ty supply of 360s, stores wouldn't be afraid to take as many preorders as possible.
I'm not really worried. As long as I can get it for Christmas, I'll be happy. I don't see the Wii being another 360 where it takes months for stores to regularly have them.

One guy is selling his Wii pre-order, a copy of Call of Duty and Zelda (all paid for) and it's current auction price is at $510. Keep in mind, it's a seven day auction, and this is only after one day. It's a quick way to make a few hundred bucks... but I'm not sure I really wanna go through the hassel.

I traded my Gamecube. (technically a wii plays gamecube games so no loss there)
I traded my gamecube gameboy player,
traded super smash bros melee
traded 5 ps2 games (most were old though)
traded two ds games
my store credit equalled $207. so I pre ordered Zelda, red steel, madden, and need for speed.

GameStop offering $699 Wii bundle Thursday
[UPDATE] Pricey "convenient package" includes $250 console and $449 of unnamed games and accessories; PS3 preorder plans still under wraps.
By Tor Thorsen, GameSpot
Posted Nov 7, 2006 2:03 pm PT
How badly do US gamers want a Wii? GameStop is thinking "very." Last night, the retailer and its subsidiary EB Games sent out a mass e-mail saying that, starting late on Thursday, gamers will be able to order the Wii from the two companies' online stores, GameStop.com and EBgames.com, in the form of an expensive bundle.
"This Thursday evening (CST), November 9, your opportunity to get in on the excitement arrives when the Wii Bundle becomes available for purchase online at GameStop.com," read the e-mail. "You'll get the best games, accessories, and more in one convenient package delivered right to your door--all for under $699 plus tax and handling." (Emphasis added.)
By itself, the Wii costs only $250 and comes with the Wiimote and Nunchuk controller, power and AV cords, sensor bar, stands, and Wii Sports. Given the GameStop Wii bundle's steep price, one would wonder what assortment of add-ons and games are worth around an extra $449. Apparently, the customer-service reps at GameStop are also wondering. "We don't know what the bundle contains," a rep told GameSpot. "We also don't know when they go on sale. We won't know until Thursday."
Catch number two is that there will only be a single Wii bundle to (not) choose from, unlike the Xbox 360 bundle assortment GameStop offered last year. "I can confirm there is only one bundle with the same games and accessories," said the same rep. "And no, we don't know what they are either."
Last but not least are a series of caveats all too familiar to console-launch veterans. "Quantities are extremely limited and there will be a limit of 1 Wii bundle per household, limited to US delivery only," read GameStop's e-mail. "Ordering a bundle does not guarantee shipment at launch and orders will be shipped on a first-come, first-serve basis. The bundle will be removed from the site as soon as we have reached our expected quota." The Wii launches in the US on November 19.
Gamers put off by the bundle's high price will only have one next-gen alternative on GameStop.com--the Xbox 360. "There are currently no [set] plans for a new PlayStation 3 pre-order program," the GameStop rep said. [UPDATE] A recording on the GameStop help line said that there was simply "no new information" available, implying the PS3 preorder plans were not currently available to the public. The company had offered a very limited number of unbundled PS3 and Wii preorders on a first-come-first-served basis at its retail outlets on the morning of October 10, all of which sold out within minutes. Confirmed preorders of Sony's console, which launches in the US on November 17, are currently fetching upwards of $1,500 on eBay.

Yeah, my bundle probably costs the same, but it's elite. I put it together my self, but I'll be damned if it's not a beautiful package!

Those Japanese...
Wii Japanese preorder info - now THIS is cool
November 8th, 2006 (http://gonintendo.com/)
I saw this over at 1up, and since it is a short article, I will post all of it below.
As this is being written, it’s just after 9:00 am in Tokyo and over 100 people are lined up outside of the Tsutaya music/game/dvd store in the district of Shibuya. No, there’s no celebrity DVD signing or AAA CD release - people lined up to preorder the Nintendo Wii after word leaked that preorders would begin this morning.
Lines are common for major game and console releases in Japan, but not for preorders. “I’ve never seen anything like this,” said our correspondent John Ricciardi, currently in line.
If there’s any indication that Japanese gamers are excited for the Wii, this is it.
I wonder how much the DS has to do with people believing in the Wii…especially in Japan.

Best Buy.ca has an Anniversary Online Sale + a Pre-order Sale! So $10 off the games. Doesn't apply to the console, and you have to pay a shipping fee but that still saves some money and driving to the store/waiting.
Pre-ordered Call of Duty 3 for my brother and he paid me. Zelda and accessories were sold out. :( Thought about Red Steel.
