not this season
agreed but down the line they might show potential for other powers?
I don't think secondary powers, but powers they already have that they just haven't been able to grasp fully, yet it is moving fairly quickly, and I do believe we will see some really spectacular stuff this season.

I'm not sure did Grant Morrison get signed on as a writer?

I dunno I just think that maybe the power of flight and mind reading might be a little tame compared to being someone like Claire or having Hiro's powers. :hyper:
Well you see there still developing there powers. I see really no need to have secondary powers, when your primary can branch off to a field of different abilities.

that's true, but what can flying branch off to?
or paitning the future?
Well as I stated in the other thread about Nathans Flying ability, in order for him to be able to withstand such speeds he would naturally be giving some type of superhuman strength.
Painting the future is more of just a tool, soon I think Isaac will be able to paint the futrue with the aide of drugs, then be able to see the future without going into a comase type state.
His abilites will increase to the point of hiro where he can see what going to happen minutes before it does. If Isaacs abilites do increase it would be something of this sort because its almost a negating factor for Hiro, because if the two where ever to get into a fight, it would be insane because one would be able to read the others moves before they even do it, as the other would have to strategically bend time to counteract that ability....just a thought though.

Isaac could hone his abilities to develope combat precognition. As in, he could see brief glimpses of the imediate future to be able to predict what someone he's fighting is about to do. Nathan could use speed tricks like creating cyclones when flying at high speeds. And, anyway, not every power has to be glarringly offensive in nature.

That depends on how fast he can fly.

I had that same thought. I'm just thinking a bit.

Don't know but by that little 2 minute preview that aired last night that same question was asked during it. It looks like he can fly pretty fast, he might be the super hero with super flight and speed combo.

I was thinking about Nathan. What makes him fly? I think he has Aerokinesis - Air manipulation, controlling air molecules with his mind. He could be flying by changing the air pressure around him to create lift.
It could explain why he doesn't have to worry about the thinning air of high altitudes (he takes air with him). And why he can withstand the friction at high speeds (he moves the air out of the way).
He could also, (as a secondary ability to be developed later) create a solid wall of air, large blasts of wind, creating and controlling small tornados. That could be pretty cool. :)

It would definetly be a very advanced state of Aerokinesis. Because the smaller states of this technique allows the bearer to change toxic molecules into pure oxygen.

where did you hear that?
BTW Here is a list of a bunch of super powers I just found while looking up aerokinesis... http://s15.invisionfree.com/XMen_Alliances/index.php?showtopic=12
It includes a list of all the "Kinetic Abilities"

The Petrelli has the painters powers.
The Petrelli has the painters powers.
Thats because he can mimic others powers, abilities, etc.

As an X-Men fan doing this would only bother me.
There are other characters out in the comic universe that can mimic powers mon fre'

Or, his body generates and electromagnetic feild that repells him against the Earth. Sort of a form of superconductivity. That feild could also be frictionless, enabling him to withstand moving at high speeds.
