I know what you mean, although it is a bit of an exaggeration. :o

There's a lot of good material in the newer seasons, it's just that it takes a lot of time to revert through them to make them nostalgic...

Exactly Simpsons was something more then just a joke thrown together. Back when the show was good there were jokes in billboards an menus and other backgrounds as shown in some of those pics. Dont get me wrong I do enjoy Family Guy with all its randomess an zany stuff but Simpsons back in the day was just to good

If you're just going by that stuff Futurama beats both The Simpsons and Family Guy hands down.
Just by those standards yea but all around Simpsons in its prime was incredible. I think Id have to sit down on a weekend an do a marathon of Futurama and Simpsons at there best to see which is better for me but both shows can do great stories as well as bring the laughs

That is why I think Futurama is kind of superior to both in the fact that they can shift from dramatic to funny and keep it quality.

Yeah, I will admit that back in seasons 1-3, The Simpsons were quite tame and they actually cared about developing a very real take on a family, although they would encounter unrealistic situations, it was still very deep and real for the most part. In seasons 4-7 they got a little bit more surreal and felt more like a cartoon, but the quality was still top notch. In seasons 8-10, the show started to feel different, and although out of those seasons we were given some of the most memorable Simpsons episodes, this began the transition into the new generation of the show.

Episodes 11-16 were topsy turvy, but thanks to a few controversial episodes, many old fans have totally written off these seven years of the show, but this opened the door for a new audience of Simpsons fans to seep through. Now, since season 17, maybe it's just me, but I think they're trying to get a little back into that middle ground from seasons 8-10, where the show is not as subtle and real as it used to be from the older seasons, but the writing is getting better.

I did like the fact that Lars/Fry went back to Seymour in Benders Big Score, but even that doesn't make Jurassic Bark any less gut wrenching.

Actually for a place like Best Buy, CC going out of business will harm them in the long run. People will turn to places like Wal-mart and Sam's Club for their electronics more and more frequently which could drive profit loss for Best Buy.

Not really. Wal-Mart will never have the capacity to compete directly with BB. They only sell as much electronics as they can fit into a small section of the store, and it's only the lower end products.

Yes, technically speaking I suppose they would lose additional business to Wal-Mart. But, the idea is that the business they gain from CC customers makes up for that, and much more. The long term effect is positive, not harmful.

At first I was thinking the same thing. But if you think about it they needed to make customer's aware that they(Best Buy) can't possible match prices for a copy that's liquidating everything. Imagine when they start giving 50 - 60%+ sales on Big Screen HDTVs. You'd get every Tom, Dick & Harry trying to get the same deal at Best Buy.

strange, because there are so many variations of that same image. I thought it was made by one of those pic-generator-sites-whatever.. you know, where you can make up some graffitis and signs and all that--never saw the site but I've seen tons of these images posted in fotologs and facebook and all that crap

I don't really see much of anything funny about this except for the apology note lol. I've actually taped the money for a stamp on the envelopes a lot when I was younger. It's a perfectly legal way to pay for postage. :)

Except that most postage prices are determined by weight and the more coins you attach the more it'll weigh and the more it'll cost and you'll need to add more coins and it'll weigh more and it'll cost more so you'll need to add more coins...

Bale seems to be letting the fame he's gotten go to his head. I understand being into the character, but let's face it. Actors are getting millions of dollars to play make believe. It's not real work.

A lot of jobs aren't "real work". Data Entry, Security Guard (The one's that don't get a gun), Cashier, etc.. Being a good actor takes plenty of work and skill, it's not the easiest job in the world to do.

He was inspired by older Punk (not the new, more emo-influenced "punk"), which was a major influence on Grunge. He definitely looked grungy (physically), but I agree in that I don't know if he's to be classified as "Grunge (music) influenced".

Also, another lol log to toss on the fire-- Jake Gyllenhaal was at one point being considered for the role of Batman. That would have made TDK soooo awkward for soooo many reasons... :D
Jake was also considered for Harvey Dent. Imagine that little scenario. I very much doubt Maggie would have got the role if her brother was her love interest... :wow:
