It's been clearly stated many times that Carnage is stronger than Venom, by characters in the comics. Although I believe Venom defeated Carnage once somehow.

yah carnage is supposed to be stronger, but i think they should change that, venom is freaking huge. carnage should be faster, venom should be stronger

Carnage is stronger then Venom, and Spider-Man combined. However Venom has defeated Carnage on numerous occasions, as well as Spider-Man. But that doesn't mean it wasn't one helluva time.

now that u mention it, in maximum carnage whenever Venom and Carnage were going one on one Venom usually seemed to have the upper hand, and in TAS Venom definatly had the upper hand whenever they fought

The Venom vs Carnage power difference has always changed between comics
I'd say Venom, but carnage is a good bet as well

NOOB! lol. Read the Venom V Carnage book, simple answer- Toxin, lol. Depends on the writer and the story arc, but carnage is more merciless, so it would usually go to him!

I haven't read spider-man comics for years (quit sometime after maxium carnage) but I had always the impression that carnage is the better fighter (in his first appearance spidr-man & venom had to fight together).

Perhaps Carnage is the faster one, but Venom has a harder punch ;)

But Carnage has even more abilities.

Not bored, yet. But whenever I am, expect to see it. I looked at that topic though. Shame so many people vouched for the JLA. But I understand. If it was the 616 Avengers it'd be more even.

LOL which Maximum Carnage were you reading?

The ONLY time Venom had the upper hand was at the end when Carnage was too scared to fight back because of bking blasted by the deus ex machina. Apart from that it's pretty apparent that carnage can kick Venoms ass.

Not bored, yet. But whenever I am, expect to see it. I looked at that topic though. Shame so many people vouched for the JLA. But I understand. If it was the 616 Avengers it'd be more even.

Well if sentry is on the team, it kinda realy changes things. The problem with those debates is that there are so many diff encarnations of each character, like the JL TAS had flash as quite slow, had to catch up to car over the course of a few mins!

I model the argument after eveyone whos been an avenger vs everyone whos been in the Justice league, well really just the main ones...mm.

It's better if you set up each team at the begining, Supes(post crisis), cap 616 etc...

But anyone could set it up for either team to be the victor that way. If I debate Avengers vs JLA I'm bringing in the whole roster, or atleast the main ones. That also makes the debate more enjoyable...yeah.

First yes the new carnage is stonger but like I said he is not very smart, yet Venom is now A little stronger than before but not as strong as Carnage, but he is also smarter than before meaning he could out smart Carnage into hurting himself. Im not saying Carnage would lose or win, just saying take those facts to mind and think, It is going to be a close fight.

I haven't read the comics in quite a while,but Venom was always much bigger than Carnage and when you take a look at who's under the symbiote,Cassidy is pretty much this skinny guy,while Brock is built like a weightlifter.
I would give it to Venom. Carnage is a killer,yes,but when you're insane like that you aren't really thinking too much,just reacting. All you want to do is kill. Brock,on the other hand,may not be a brilliant guy,but he's been in this symbiote longer and has more experience than Cassidy and has a bit more smarts. When you're reckless like Carnage bad things can happen.

I have seen that. To be honest,I don't like it at all. Venom IS Eddie Brock. Just as Spider-man IS Peter Parker. I know that the writers have to try something different to mix things up,but Eddie will always be Venom for me.

Not realy they are trying to progress with the story, they are testing new things and I realy like what there testing out. Venom on a villian team isn't all that bad.

when I was little I awalys thought Venom was spidey's greatest foe, and I still think that because when I was little I also thought, how can spidey beat someone that can do everything he can? But now alot of Venom's like Ult Venom, not saying that I don't like that Venom, But anyway he uses the suit to fight with and not webs.
