I need help with compact disc.

One day for no reason my computer stopped reading any Cd's. I can't listen to music and recently I bought a new digital Nikon D50, but I can download the images to computer because my computer won't read the installation disc's. My compact disc is missing from my computer also. Anyone knows how to fix this problem?

Restart your computer, and go into your BiOS (you should see like "hit F1 for settings" right as it starts to boot up, that's probably what you want, though I can't be sure without actually seeing your computer boot up), and make sure the CD-ROM is still enabled/on/whatever.
