Venom71, Brad Kelley as he was known to his friends, was a terrific person with a heart almost entirely of gold. He was a dear friend, and an insightful poster, with a great spirit. Today, I sit here having lost a friend, who through all those years of friendship, had never let me down. I've known him since 2002.

Rest in Peace, my friend.

You will be sorely missed.

This sucks. Venom71 was always one of the nicest posters I ever came across. Even in arguments, he killed with kindness, and had a level of coolness I couldn't begin to describe. There aren't very many people I've come across that have an innate ability to shuck the bad stuff and look for the positives in a thing, and seeing his outlook on things was refreshing. He's the only person I've ever seen have someone quit arguing with him because he was too positive towards certain things that people just gave up trying to fight his positivity. My sincerest condolences to his loved ones, and right now he's sitting up in the great gig playing twenty questions with Christopher Reeve discussing important things like the length of capes.:super:

Only ran across the guy a few times, but he seemed pretty cool and level headed. Always sad to hear of someone's passing, even on a messageboard that can be the furthest from something you could define as being personal.

As Showtime said, good that he could see Superman Returns. I hope he liked the movie a lot, and it lived up to his expectations.

I wanted to dedicate this song for Venom....

tidal waves don't beg forgiveness
crash, then on their way
father, he enjoyed collisions
others walked away
the snowflake falls in may
and the doors are open now
as the bells are ringing out
cuz the man of the hour
has taken his final bow
goodbye for now
nature has its own religion
gospel from the land
father ruled by long division
young men, they pretend
old men comprehend
and the sky breaks at dawn
shedding light upon this town
we all come 'round
cuz the man of the hour
has taken his final bow
goodbye for now
and the road, the old men paved
the broken seams along the way
the rusted signs, they're just for me
he was guiding me, love, his own way
now the man of the hour
has taken his final bow
as the curtain comes down
i feel that this is just
goodbye for now

Venom dying, that's quite a reality check.

i remember some posters asking him in passing how he was, and sometimes he'd say that certain days he wasnt doing too well. i was curious what that was about but i didnt want to pry. so that was what it was about.

its really too bad that he didnt get to see Spidey3. i remember reading his posts over at the Spidey forums and he was as excited for it as the next guy. so sad really :(

yet that doesn't lessen his death in anyway

clearly from this thread, this man has touched many

he will be missed
and it is a shame that he has passed

i can only assume that this was an untimely passing, making it all the more sad

my not knowing him is clearly not an insult or action to show his lack of importance

it is to show that as someone who has never conversed with him, i am aware of his impact on all of you. for i miss him because i never got the chance to know him, as all of you have

You know, this really makes you think. This guy was lucky to know people well enough on the boards to talk to them on AIM and such, and to have them know his real name, so when he dissappeared, people looked him up and found out what happened. It makes you wonder about people who dont choose to get personal on the boards. Makes you think about all the posters who just stopped posting one day and you never heard from them again. Hmm, just a thought.
