We hear about putting Superman and Batman together all the time. Blast the universes' continuity, I'd like to see Superman and Spiderman in something together - or a just-got-his-powers Peter Parker with a still-teenaged Clark Kent. We can have Harry vs. Lex, or Harry working with Lex... Or Harry suspecting Clark of having killed his dad, and Lex defending Clark, if this were to get on Smallville...

This was prompted by various discussions in the Spidey threads of Oscorp and one of Peter's mask coming off during the train scene.

Just to play devil's advocate here, I'm going to half-jokingly ask:
Does comic book continuity put Oscorp and Lexcorp in competition?
Lex vs. Harry!!!

One advantage to being Peter Parker, cute-but-mostly-average-looking young guy, as opposed to Clark Kent, enormous rippling guy who has been an outsider his whole life. Poor Clark can't blend in, so he hides in plain view. Petey, on the other hand, has had a bunch of people see him and they would probably never be able to pick him out of a crowd. They both had good (strong) family backgrounds and similar problems opening up to their favorite girls next door - could be friends :yay:

It dawns that I'm wanting a Superman-Spiderman movie/episode somehow (blast the continuity and different universes!). Here's to Tobey & Tom, or Tobey & Brandon! Kirsten and Kristen/-in are fine; don't want to see Kate for any reason.

Well, this will not happen. One they are part two different companies. Superman is owned by Warner Brothers and Spiderman is owned by Columbia Pictures. It will take alot of money to get either one of these heroes onto the other companies. That is why you don't see many "Vs" movies that are from different movie companies. Oh, and please don't say Freddy Vs Jason is one that is part of two companies because it is not. They are both owned by New Line Cinemas. So they can do that. But you might not ever see any superhero movie that is owned by one movie company and one by another movie company. The only ones you might be able to see for a future movie is the following:

X-Men vs Fantastic Four
X-Men vs Daredevil
X-Men vs Electra
Daredevil vs Fantastic Four
Fantastic Four vs Electra

X-Men, Fantastic Four, Daredevil, and Electra is all owned by Fox. So those are the only movies that you might be able to see. As for Superman, the following:

Superman vs Batman
Superman vs Wonder Woman
Batman vs Wonder Woman
Wonder Woman vs Catwoman
Superman vs Catwoman
Superman vs Supergirl
Supergirl vs Batman
Supergirl vs Wonder Woman

That is the line up so far. Wonder Woman even though there is no movie of her yet. Warner Brothers has put a green light on this movie. I believe from what I have read that all DC comics superheroes (if movies are done) that Warner Brothers will make the movie. That is what is good about WB, they can make a "VS" movie since they have the rights for all the superheroes. That would include V since he is in DC Comics. So if you noticed so far that all superheroes are part of Warner Brothers.
Superman (1, 2, 3, 4, and 5)
Batman (1, 2, 3, 4, and 5)
Supergirl
Catwoman
V for Vendetta
These are all Warner Brothers movies. Wonder Woman TV show was made by Warner Brothers and the movie will be done by Warner Brothers.

What a shame, that it would come down to this. Hadn't thought about that angle - not how my brain works most of the time. I suppose the small screen wouldn't be any more welcoming, ie. guest appearances by Peter and/or Harry (Columbia Pix, you say) on Smallville (WB)?

Well, it is a good thought that you said that but just remember what companies owns those movie. It is as I said you might see any of the DC characters in another character's movie but you won't see too many Marvel characters in each other movies.

Just found out that there were at least three Superman-Spiderman crossover comics, so perhaps it's not as impossible an idea as many think:
