Lol, I always find these hillarious. Almost any anime thread that mentions someone finding an anime girl attractive, one of these waltzes into the conversation.

Honestly, who are YOU to tell others what they should or shouldn't find attractive? Seriously lol. In all honesty I find it more pathetic for someone to follow others around bashing opinions, because you're making a concious effort to seek out those who don't like what you like and belittle them.

So someone must have no life, be a loser, and have no g/f or b/f because they think a girl with curves is hot just that it's on paper? It's ok tho to lust after and masterbate to pics of real women who would most likely not give anyone not rich and hot a second look tho right? To me it's even worse to fawn over and lust and obssess over a movie star you'll never have. Finding an anime girl attractive is just natural to some ppl, and it's not like their wanting to marry them, their just making a comment that in their opinion some anime girls look hot to them. They are drawn to attract some ppl, just like posters of girls in bikini's or statues.

Just because you don't find them attractive doesn't give you the right to say others don't have the right to find it attractive. I know guys who's girls buy them hentai videos, or don't care that they have anime girl pics on their computer. Those friends of mine have sex, go out and have fun, and none of them seem to have any mental deficiency of any kind.


Sorry for any derailment, just been wanting to say that for a bit. I've looked thru multiple anime boards and someone always seems to pop up saying something like that. I'm a Christian as well, and our religion tells us not to judge or belittle another. You can tell them you believe their wrong, but insulting and calling them loser and saying they have no life is in no way Christian, and if anything about the furthest you can get from Jesus's teaching.

Edit- In no way do I want to start an argument, or call your faith into question as I am not. Just a warning as we are taught, "Do not judge lest you be judged". Heh, now that I explained what I meant I'll drop it :). Arguing only carries on the original derailment we were having.

However, that doesn't mean that people who have an innocent ((or simply honest, but not destructive)) appreciation or like for female anime characters who are designed to be beautiful shouldn't acknowledge it. Also, there are plenty of married men and women who struggle with this issue on a daily basis with both animated and real women. The person with the problem is the one who has to change, first they need to admit that this is something they struggle with, then protect themselves by staying away from it, like an alcoholic avoiding bars.

I have to say, though, I was very disappointed to hear you say you were a Christian, because even though the quote above was well expressed, your first post was extremely judgmental, harsh, and in no way sounded as though you were trying to help. As Christians, we are to be compassionate to others. That doesn't mean that you condone the wrongs people do, but that you hate the deed itself, not the person, you continue to love the person. We will be known by the fact "that we show love one to another". If you do speak to a person about something that's corrupting their life, make sure first that it's not something you struggle with ((and i am in no way saying that you do, i just want to cover all the bases)) and secondly, tell them in love, because you want to help them change for the better, not because you want to tear them apart.

That said, i'm not saying this is a totally innocent thread, but i wanted to say that not all of it is pure evil and that there was probably a better way to handle it. People are more likely to listen to you if you don't come out swinging at them and insulting their favorite things.

Good post. I enjoy reading someone with thiest views that doesn't just preach needlessly, but more or less shares. That's perfectly awesome, and brightens my day a little bit.

However, I still feel it is not someone's place to tell others how to live their lives out of selfish reasons. Like the poster I'm responding to said, it should be done out of concern for someone with a problematic situation, not out of personal view.

As for myself, I do not enjoy those who go sleep around, but do not even dare say that people are wrong for lusting, as it is part of the natural human condition. Old men lusting after young girls is absolutely nothing new, and really, only Americans seem to think of it as a bad thing. Hell, one of the best relationships I've ever had came from a forty three year old man when I was twenty. Of course, a year later, we're now broken up because I decided to move back to France, but that doesn't mean the relationship would'nt have lasted due to our age.

In fact, as males get older, their views in women remain ever the same, they enjoy the child bearing age more than most, because of the natural desire for it.

So people can speak out as they like, but bias only serves insecurity. If you wish to speak out against threads such as these, I ask politely that people bring more than, "You're all sick," to the forefront. Humans shouldn't be limited to a singular view, and I feel most people on this forum don't suffer that. Don't let me down.
