My super source tells me that the IRON MAN (http://www.latinoreview.com/filmpreview.php?id=419) script went out EXCLUSIVELY to the superhot Rachel McAdams!
It seems they want Rachel for the part of Virginia "Pepper" Potts.
Now I am not saying that she is going to take the part, merely saying that she is their top choice.
Some background on the character...
Virginia "Pepper" Potts is an executive secretary to Tony Stark, a.k.a. Iron Man, (First appearance in Tales of Suspense 1960s). Pepper was originally infatuated with Tony and responded to the attentions of Stark's chauffeur and assistant Happy Hogan with caustic remarks. However, she eventually fell in love with and married Hogan. She is in her early 20's, 5'4" and 110lbs with "glowing auburn" hair. Later, Pepper divorces Happy Hogan and her initial infatuation with Stark returns, and they decide to be friends. She is aware of Stark's secret identity.
So there you have it.

In a Interview Robert Downey did a few weeks ago, he said Pepper Potts had been cast and it was to be announced in a couple weeks, along with another part, I wonder if Rachel has already been cast for the role.

Does Iron Man have a Notebook?
Posted : December 4, 2006 Writer : Clint Morris
Hollywood’s go-to girl of the moment, Rachel McAdams (whose name I’ve heard linked to a certain role in the upcoming “Batman” sequel, as well, though why wouldn’t it be?), might be rubbing her lean, well-moisturized hands along the armour of one Tony Stark.
Yep, according to Latino Review, the star of the No.1 weepie of 2004, “The Notebook”, is believed to be on director Jon Favreau’s ‘most wanted’ list to play Pepper Potts in his big-screen version of “Iron Man”.
Unlike a lot of other superhero girlfriends (though for the most part, Potts and Stark have a purely platonic relationship), Pepper knows that her long-time bud plays dress-up at night and fights criminals.
Virginia "Pepper" Potts is an executive secretary to Tony Stark, a.k.a. Iron Man, who eventually married Stark's chauffeur and assistant Happy Hogan – despite the fact that she was initially infatuated with the Tone-Bone himself. Later, Pepper divorces Happy Hogan and her initial infatuation with Stark returns.
Jon Favreau has been accepting suggestions from ‘the common folk’ for the role of Potts on his MySpace page for the film. Among the most popular suggestions for the role – besides McAdams – are Kristen Bell (who I believe may have been contacted about the role at some point), “Serenity” star Jewel Staite, and Famke Janssen. If Favreau is indeed listening to his fans, chances are he’s already met with all those girls about the role.

Well, if true its a nice hire, I'll wait for Jon Favreau to confirm it, I still like Alyson Hannigan for Pepper, have to wait and see.

I like Rachel Mccadams for Pepper Potts, I like her alot, and I think she would be very good for the movie
It would add to the already stellar cast they are building, if they could get like a Chow Yun Phat or a Ken Wantanabe, for the Mandarian that would round out an absolutley stellar cast for a comic book movie

A poster on imdb.com reports that her agent came on a Canadian entertainment program Etalk and said she was not taking the part and would not be joining the cast.
So, that ends that.

Well, imdb is far from the most trusted source of information ever. :o
I think she'd be ideal for the role. Moreso for Pepper than for Selina Kyle/Catwoman in Batman, despite my obvious bias. But I'd be happy either way.
Wonder if Favs will have anything to say about it, soon...

News is there too that she WON"T be taking the role.
Edit: Oh wait I just noticed they got that info from IMD. LOL Still it could be true.
Edit 2: Apparently she's been on E-Talk before:

McAdams would really be a great choice for this role. I can see her potraying every aspect of the character: shy, beautiful, smart, and especially being Stark's executive secretary. So, hopefully her involvement with the film, as well as being up for Pepper, is true.
I also wouldn't mind Jewel Staite.
She tested for the role of Susan Storm 2 years ago. That would have been so much better thing than Alba.

I also wouldn't mind Jewel Staite.
I'm not really familiar with her, but she does look the part based on the pictures that have been posted here. She is one possibility, if the rumors of McAdams turning down the role are true.

Tuesday, December 12, 2006 - 10:07 AM Last week, several websites, namely my friends over at MOVIEHOLE.NET, mentioned that Rachel McAdams has been rumored for a part in TDK. McAdams was also said to be up for the role of "Pepper Potts" in IRON MAN. Well, according to McAdams fansite RACHELONLINE.NET, McAdams' publicist has shot down the IRON MAN rumor. What does this have to do with TDK? Probably nothing, but since 2007 is fast approaching, we'll find out soon enough...
Just speculating here, but IF McAdams does snag a role in TDK, what part will it be? What does this mean for the Rachel Dawes character and Katie Holmes returning?

McAdams is cool with me. Pepper's also been younger than Tony.
Jewel Staite would be my choice however

I just saw a clip from the cartoon movie, I did not know Pepper was british. I'm somewhat new to Ironman, I like him and have since I was a kid but never really read much of his stuff.
