yeah most of the tv/radio friendly ablums were :down: no offence to mcr fans, but i just don't see the talent. their music makes me cringe.

best album from the 90s is Nola by Down...new orleans style southern metal.. amazing album and still heavier than most of the crap that comes out now.

1. Jay-Z: Kingdom Come
2. T.I.: King
3. Mary J. Blidge:The Breakthrough ( it think this came out in 2006)
4. Unpredictable: Jamie Foxx
5. Future Sex/Love Sounds: Justin Timberlake (don't ban me please, but it was a good album)

I bought a lot of old ***** this year, like television's "marquee moon", wire's "pink flag" and the best of the velvet underground, but of the ones that were released this year i'd have to go with the following, in no particular order:
islands - return to the sea
sonic youth - rather ripped
band of horses - everything all the time
dirty on purpose - hallelujah sirens
I know i'm missing some, so I'll probably update this list later, but it's a good start.
edit: I forgot about the thermals' "the body, the blood, the machine". excellent, raw garage punk album that aims to deconstruct religious fundamentalism and it's role in politics and everyday life. awesome music to drive to.

Under The Iron Sea - Keane
Eyes Open - Snow Patrol
Razorlight - Razorlight
I was even able to see Embrace live at the Portsmouth Guildhall last October, and they were just absolutely amazing. :up:
