The IRON MAN teaser site launches with nifty logo!!!


Ahoy, squirts! Quint (quint@aintitcool.com) here with a link to the teaser/logo site for Jon Favreau's IRON MAN. Favreau announced it today on his MySpace Page (http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendID=42500584) and I really dig the logo design. Very cool, simple... feels right, you know? The flick goes into production early next year with Terrence Howard as Rhodes and Robert Downey Jr. as the man behind the mask himself. Pretty nice. Not too busy, as it should be. It's supposed to have that metallic look to it, but most Marvel logos have that already.

There's no reason there can't be a simple teaser maybe just a camera circling around the armor or something.

I like the reference to Iron Man´s circle, and the light coming out of him, not very sure about the typo, but its just the logo, theres not to much to be excited about, when we get our first glimpse at Iron Man, then well have a reason.

Anyway, I doubt Favreau will start filming in Feb, because nobody is cast (escept Downey and Howard).

^ Ill betcha there's plenty of smaller roles cast that haven't been annouced yet and surely Favreau will play Happy.

You're only kidding right? I mean nothing since Fav's announced involvement has been less then impressive, least to me. At least this project isn't tainted by the melddling FOX group. :cwink:

I certainly find myself pulling for IM's success to open the way for a hopefully good run of films with the Parimount agreement.

As for the comment about no other parts being cast, Robert Downey said in an interview a month ago that Pepper Potts and another role had been cast, and a announcement would be coming soon, nothing yet, but he did say it.

The logo, as well as the design, are both excellent. I also like how the symbol is shown from behind it.

Cool teaser. I am glad they didn't use the diamond/Superman shape logo. The glowing circle looks best.

It's actually only my opinion. And I still think it looks too 80s-ish. Even Hulk logo looked better. But I hope it's only pre-logo and they'll change it.

hm....seems kinda simple but that could be in a character driven movie. I would rate this first step of offering us some media to go with the gossip as a strong 7 of 10.

But, I do think it's design for motion. When it static a lot of it's charm seem to be lost. From a graphical point of view that is.
