HYPE SURVIVOR 19: Creepy On A Whole New Level - DAY 1

Welcome, Welcome to Hype Survivor 19. Hosted by Matt, with occassional guest hosts. And of course, we do have a Ghost Host lurking around, he will introduce himself when he sees fit to do so.

The Rules (for you lucky non-Survivor fans)
20 people will start this game. 18 will actually play this game.

Each 'day' is marked by a new challenge. Each tribe will receive team challenges (instructions for challenges will be explained for each challenge). Right answers during challenges will obviously earn points and wrong answers will be worth none. The tribe with the most points at the end of the 'day' (or round) wins immunity. The tribe with the least points must vote off one of their members via PM in a tribal council. Also, in this game... immunity may be decided by something other than trivia. You will be completely briefed on this before it happens, so do not fret. In the event of any ties, there will be a tie breaker question in which a tie will not be possible.

Each tribe will have a captain. Captains will be established on Day One. They are responsible for collecting the tribe's answers and turning them into me. I will only accept answer PMs from the tribe captain. If the captain is unavaliable for whatever reason it is their responsibility to designate a replacement captain for the time they are unavaliable and inform me of this.

To remove a captain from their position he or she must be voted off of the tribe. Once this occurs, ONLY THE PLAYERS WHO VOTED THE CAPTAIN OUT will be allowed to elect a new captain.

If your tribe happens to win three days in a row, then they'll be given a gift in addition to their immunity: they'll go to tribal council on behalf of the other tribe and they'll vote off ANYONE IN THE GAME THAT THEY CHOOSE.

At some point the tribes will be merged into one tribe. The game will only have one merge at a time already designated. Only the hosts will know about this day until the time it actually happens. There may be additional twists and turns throughout the game, so do not get too cozy.

Hype! Survivor is a game of both strategy and deception. Alliances are both permitted, and encouraged. So find a friend, and sex their brains out. Masterminding and forethought are the keys to success. Laziness and ineffective play will both be penalized and exposed. Hosts have the right to intervene at any point in the game for the sake of keeping dead weight out. As a side note: alliances can be with any of the 20 players... doesn't matter who they are... doesn't matter what tribes they're on... just make sure it's someone you trust... or not. As the old saying goes: keep your friends close, and your enemies closer.

The final Jury will be composed of 9 people: everyone voted off from the remaining nine players who didn't make the finals. The hosts will not be voting in the finals this time around. The Jury and only the Jury will vote FOR WHO THEY THINK SHOULD WIN of the final two remaining players to find the winner of the Hype! Survivor.

A note on cheating: It's very easy to cheat in this game. Very, very easy. Some of the rounds will be much more difficult to cheat at than others (some will be downright impossible to cheat on). Regardless, hosts have ways of catching you, and sometimes will even set up traps for you. If you feel you have to cheat, by all means, go ahead... but if you're caught, you WILL be penalized. Again, specific rules of what's legal or not will be in each challenge PM.

This game will not support dead weight. The last game I attempted to host ended prematurely as I recruited entirely new players, all of whom lost interest about half way through the game. If the host feels at any time that you are dead weight he reserves the right to boot you and replace you. Also, if your tribe feels that you are dead weight, they may petition me for your removal from the game and replacement with someone else at which point your case will be heard and it will be decided.

These rules are subject to change at any time with absolutely no warning. They are more of guidelines for the game. Specific rules for each challenge will be issued via Challenge PM. Any dispute with the host will be settled through the Ghost Host (aka: The King). He is a neutral party who will look at the dispute and decide who is in the wrong (it will probably be you, though). Just have fun and play your hardest and everything will be fine

This challenge will test the most vital ability of this game: The ability to manipulate other players. This is an important challenge. This challenge will decide tribes and captains for each tribe. It will also decide which of you make it into the game and which of you do not. Act wisely. The game starts now.

Pickles never really got a chance to shine last game and Colossal was incredibly shortsighted in making only 2 alliances. It would be interesting to see how they went about it this time.

Pirateking is an excellent Hype Survivor player and an incredibly loyal ally. Voting her out before trying to join up with her would be a vital mistake.

I think Pickles could've gone further if she wasn't tied down by Spoons. Spoons had a very narrow minded approach to the game and the strategy involved in the game. In fact, had they signed up, I likely would've only selected Pickles to make the cut. I think she has the makings of a kick ass Survivor player. Spoons, not so much. They would've operated much better solo.

Also, you guys would've entirely won the third challenge with me on board. I had about 60 % of it figured out within a half hour. If Phere was able to help me out, we could've taken it.

I'm conflicted as to what I would do in regards to you if I were a captain. On one hand, you are very gunghoe as Jewhob said. You are an incredibly enthusiastic player (perhaps too much at times) and could make an asset to the tribe. On the other hand, your out-there attitude makes you a huge target as well. It would be a tough choice whether or not to pick you.

Both are friends of mine, but I agree. Though we were in a three way pact, I figured early on that I'd let Spoons talk himself into a hole so that if we made it into the final two I'd get more votes. Didn't work out that way, but it was the thought that counts. Notice how I dodged out of your ranting on us after we voted you out and let Spoons keep going? That was why. Spoons also was gung hoe to convince us that he'd vote out Pickles if it best for him, and I totally wanted to try to convince him to. When it came down to the three of us, I totally had my words planned, but then we got 2nd and our tribes got mixed. All in all, I had fun that game.

Pirateking is an excellent Hype Survivor player and an incredibly loyal ally. Voting her out before trying to join up with her would be a vital mistake.

I think Pickles could've gone further if she wasn't tied down by Spoons. Spoons had a very narrow minded approach to the game and the strategy involved in the game. In fact, had they signed up, I likely would've only selected Pickles to make the cut. I think she has the makings of a kick ass Survivor player. Spoons, not so much. They would've operated much better solo.

Also, you guys would've entirely won the third challenge with me on board. I had about 60 % of it figured out within a half hour. If Phere was able to help me out, we could've taken it.

I kinda wanted to play again but I was afraid people would be biased against me.

Its all about timing. I don't think you were such a threat or so out there that many people would target you. In fact, if you played seperate of Colossal you could've very well flown under the radar for a long time. However, sitting out a game or two is never a bad idea.

I didn't go into this expecting to win my first game. I just wanted to have fun while learning the ins and outs. I'll probably do that for like my next 2 or 3 games. Everybody I talked to after the game was over didn't think I was guilty or walking into your "traps". They just thought the bickering got ridiculous.
