Damn the movie was awesome. Now I got the movie for Christmas cause this kid in my school loves Batman and is always talking about him so I said to myself, "what the hell let me get this movie and watch it, can't be that bad." I never read Batman comics, and I used to watch the TV show but forgot about it. I used to think Batman was a man with gadgets that can fight good. Yep I was wrong again about him. He kicks ass in the movie. One of my favs now. Just wanted to put that out in the open. Can't wait for the Joker in the next film.

Did you like how even the night scenes are brightly lit?

Actually, there were two that hated Batman Begins. I've just had them elimnated, and everyone's memories erased of they're existence. Does Pedro ring any bells?

No....didn't think it would....carry on, fellas.

I canīt understand how can someone hate this movie.
To think that is not the best thing since sliced bread, sure, but to hate it.
Batman Begins is an amazing movie, just not the coming of Christ in movie format as many in this same board like to think.

I hate the action and some dialogues in it. Not the entire movie.

It's definatly a top movie. I'm with El Payaso (as usual). The extreme close ups to the extreme, during the fight scenes annoyed me and so did some of the speeches which tended to drag on and become often repetitive. I've got some minor gripes with the suit and the origin part was too long for me, but it's stuff not even worth complaining about.

On the flipside, I loved pretty much everything else about it, the amber colour scheme for Gotham, Gotham itself (Very dirty, used, perfect for Batman), the Tumbler is my favourite Batmobile, every hecnhman in Gotham shares my fashion sense and I loved the third act all the way, from the Mansion burning down to the finale on the train, it was so fun.

Yeah, I think I found myself being probably in the minority......mostly b/c in origin films, I think EVERYONE loves the character builld up more than when he puts on the suit (ie:, Spider-Man.......alot of people see that film's first half as the best part).....while I see Batman Begins' second half.....or from the 2nd act on....as the best.

Even more suprising, I thought there was a good amount of Batman. I remember reports and rumors before the film came out saying there would only be like 15 minutes of Batman total. And, in origin films....I usually cringe b/c it usually means little to no superhero. Didn't feel that way in Batman Begins for me.

A good movie that turns crap in the last act. An amazing Batman adaption. That's it.

The way i see it, BB wasnīt a amazing Batman adaptation, not even close, but it was an amazing movie.
I think they missed on the "before Batman" and on the "after Batman".
The script is a complete mess, which is nothing to be surprissed about because itīs Goyerīs.
Nolan was the one that saved it from being complete crap.

And i find hilarious where i read (in some thread, about an interview with Goyer) Goyer say that they went to tell things that not even the comics told.
And he was not talking about the all Raīs mentor thing, of course he wasnīt, because thatīs was his doing, of course no comic went that way.
I mean, does he even read Batman comic books?
There are thousands of stories about or with flashbacks of his past when he was travelling the world....
He didnīt told anything important, unless you look at the cinematic angle, no movie has told his past...
And even so, all he did was tell the last days, when he meets Raīs, that doesnīt qualify has Bruceīs past...

Batman Begins is a great movie. Perhaps it is overrated.

But remember, this is the movie that came after the despised Batman & Robin, and put Batman right back on course. It gets extra kudos and respect for that.

Generally origin stuff bores the crap out of me. I find myself tuning out at times during Begins' first half.

While it's become somewhat overrated due to some slightly over the top fanboy praise, as far as comic book movies go, Batman Begins is no doubt one of the finest of the genre. The only problems I have (other than the excessive fanboy praise) are, as others mentioned, the camerwork and a few moments of dialogue. The pacing also drags in spots, but overall, it's a fine movie all around.
