.rules.

Players can choose any DC Comic character they wish, and ''Ultimize'' them. Since there is no established Ultimate continuity for DC, some liberties can be taken. However, We ask that you at least try and stay true to the character's basics. (IE: Superman's an alien, Batman's a mortal, Wonder Woman's an Amazonian warrior, ect.) Don't make him or her completely 100% different from his/her's Regular DC counterpart.
This is in an Ultimate DC continuity. Meaning, this does not tie into the continuity of DC Comics. (IE: Superman never died, Batman was never broken by Bane, ect.) So don't play as if any of that has already happen. This is a NEW universe.
No Killing. Unnamed faceless NPC's (*Non Player Characters) are okay, but not comic characters. Someone else may want to take up the character, or they may be imporant to another story.
You can go anywhere on earth, or travel off planet, but do so within your character's means.
Provided you've proven yourself a capable RPG participant, you will be allowed the option of two to three characters. Characters can be reserved at any point during the season for a period of two weeks.
You are your character, so act like it. Talk like them, use their dialogue. Do not exaggerate their powers or abilities, or pop-up here and there without explaination.
Several stories can be going at once, and you have the freedom to interact with other characters.
Borrowing elements from other mediums aside from the comic books is to be kept to a minimum. But a direct adaptation is prohibited. This RPG is about creativity... Try to your own ideas above all else. (If you're stuck creatively, ask the gamemasters for advice)
If your character is closely related to another player's character (Example: Lex and Superman), it is strongly suggested that you PM the other player about your plans, so they can plan accordingly.
No Time Travel. (Unless someone wants to play an Ultimate Booster Gold, where the character needs that.)
You must post every two weeks, though it is preferred that you post more. If you go two weeks without a post without prior notice, your character is be up for grabs.
All regular Hype rules also apply.

Character You Would Like To Play: Batman

Basic History Of The Character: After witnessing the brutal slaying of his parents by a lone gunmen, Bruce Wayne vowed a one-man war on criminality in all of it's forms. Training his mind and body to the peak of human potential, He returned to the corrupted utopia of Gotham City and became it's protector, inspired by a frightening image of his own youth... The Batman.

Three Reasons Why You Have Chosen That Character:

1. He's freaking Batman. The best character in fiction to me, period.

2. I spent the entire first season building him up as a character, from when he donned the cowl to the point where he's accepted Gotham as his own responsibility. But I never really went... 'ultimate' enough with him. I want to fix that this season, while putting him against challenges he's yet to face.

3. ...Do you really need a real reason to choose Batman?

What Do You Plan On Doing With This Character As A Person (IE: How are you 'utlimizing' him or her?): While I don't plan on continuing my carbon copy of the standard Batman of DC, I do plan to keep the humanistic aspects I established in the first season. But Bruce is going to go through alot of pain, this season... both physically and psychologically. So don't expect him to come out of it the same.

Two Complete Sentences In Proper English Explaining What You Can Bring To This RPG (As A Player): Not to sound arrogant by any means, but with Batman, I know I can bring a faithful rendition of the character while adding something new. I also plan to make him a better interactor with other characters, aswell as a better (and grittier) fighter.

What Fonts Do You Plan To Use For Your Character’s Speech? (Makes the roster look better): You know, I've thought about this... I'm gonna go differently. It'll better set me apart from all the RPG Batmen before me. This for Batman's speech, This for Bruce's.

This is one of my firsts in-game posts from last season. A little piece I like to call "Dawn Of The Knight"...

Four Weeks.

A month of waiting.

That's how long it took me to prepare for tonight. After my encounter with the gang on my first outing as a vigilante, my body was left beaten and broken, aswell as my pride. However, I finally had something that not even they could break. I had found my answer... The one I had been searching for all of these years. It had always been there. I had spent years around criminality, and it wasn't until I faced my own fear that I realised something about the criminal element.

They're cowards. Superstitious, cowardly men who fear symbols and myths, due to the stress of them breaking the laws of society. It was most apparent before I met Ra's Al Ghul... Who, at the time, was believed to be an urban myth by everyone, Including myself. His status as a mythic figure had given him fear, which was obviously why he was able to kill the people in that town, those years ago. It was because he was feared.
I too, in order to best the evil of which I promised to abolish from Gotham City, must become a feared mythological figure. Which is why I'm here tonight. My wounds are healed... And my shadow casts that of a fearsome myth. Tonight, I am not Bruce Wayne. I'm something much, much more fearsome. Something... mythical.

The costume took up most of that four weeks. While I stayed out of action, from the streets, letting my bones mend themselves back together, I used my wealth in creating the, what I consider, ultimate in theatrical illusion.

Wayne Enterprises, as I found out, had been working with the military in development of newer weapons. This included combat gear. The most sophisticated of the entire abandoned project was a strengthened layered combat bodysuit. This would be the starting point. The bodysuit was made out of an outer layer of spider silk, and padded with a nomex and kevlar bi-weave, with it's thickness varying in different parts of the suit, providing both vital protection, and nessacary allowance of free movement. The chest plate and attached hood have the thickest part of this bi-weave, due to the head and chest being the most vital areas to need protection in combat. It was perfect for my means... So I bought several. After all, I wasn't about to go back out onto the streets without some form of protection.

From there, I took control of the entire construction, for the rest of the costume. A bodysuit wouldn't be enough. I still needed the element of fear to be embodied into it. So, next came the mask... Or, rather... the cowl. As a base, I used the same ninja mask I wore the night that I was beaten. From there, I improved upon it. Cutting away the part of the mask that covered my mouth (to allow me to speak and breathe freely, when nessacary), I placed and mended a helmet like cowl ontop of that. It hid my features well, actually. But it still wasn't fearful. So, I began thinking about what made that Bat so terrifying... Which lead to the addition of two things. One, Lexcorp designed infared starlite nightvision lenses. This would both allow me to see at night, and give off a haunting glow within the cowl's eyeholes, completely hiding my pupils, further adding to the protection of my identity. The second, A chin guard... With attached makeshift titanium 'Bat ears', which held a microphone system inside... To call Alfred, if nessacary. (I was determined to conquer all of my mistakes the night of my failure, obviously)

Putting it all together, I created one object... which was useful, considering I couldn't possibly both to put the nessacary pieces together in the case of an emergency every night. With the cowl finished, it was... easier, from there. Since I saw no reason to take away the military 'utility' belt, I kept it and added it to the suit. To my surprise, it actually looked and worked better with it than my former vigilante gear. Turning to the Bat for inspiration once again, I began thinking of ways to mimic it's wings. At first, the logical answer seemed to be some sort of a hang glider.

However, it was impractical. I needed something easier to move with. So... I turned to the next best thing. Buying more spider silk, and weaving it to a large mass of nylon, I constructed a large, Bat-wing cloak. A cape, actually. And with it's creation came an entirely new purpose. I found that, due to the fabric's capability, It could stretch out to an almost identical point to that of a glider. In a way, I had both a glider and a cape... with praticality... Which is what I wanted in the first place. Lining it with an experimental fireproof application, I also weighted the tiny, Bat-like scallops on the bottom of the cape, making it into a weapon to add to my ever growing arsenal. (A 'whipping weapon', as Alfred put it.)

But I found that I needed a way to attach the cape to the suit. I couldn't simply strap it on with velcro, after all. So, I created a clasp that attached to the chest plate, and hooked into the back of the helmet. With a quick hit to the back of the head, I could loosen it, allowing me to take the cape off. However, due to it's design, it couldn't be loosened by accident. Only if I wanted it to... Which, needless to say, pleased me. During the creation of the clasp, I felt that it needed to be hided by something. Drawing up numerous designs, I finally came up with the perfect cover... A metalic, Bat-Like symbol, to be melded ontop of the clasp, making it virtually invisible, aswell as not interfering with it's function.

Realising that in order to protect my identity, I couldn't allow myself to be identified by fingerprints, I purchased a set of leather gloves. Sewing in a layer of the reinforced spider silk, to protect my forearms aswell as making it fit better to the overall suit, I added ceramic studs to the knuckles... giving me an added advantage, aswell as a much more powerful punch. Lastly was the boots. At first, they had no real function. But I couldn't just wear sneakers with this thing. So, I purchased a pair of leather boots, pretty much identical to the leather gloves. Creating 'socks' with the reinforced spider silk, I added them to the boots, aswell as ceramics to the toe area, improving the impact of a kick.

It was a grueling process. I worked, day and night, thinking up every pratical use for a costume like this, and then trying to figure out how to make it work. But finally, after a month of work and healing... I was ready to venture back out into the concrete jungle known as Gotham City.

So, here I am, standing ontop of a gargoyle. The shape of the cloak actually blends me into the alignment of gargoyles nicely. Thunder howls above me, providing for a nessacary mood. Tonight... I'm going to try it again. I'm going to try and take on this mission. But, with different means. Much different means.

I stand, with my eyes closed, taking in the sounds of the city with a calmness. Then, it rings out. Another scream.

"HELP! SOMEBODY HELP ME!"

A young woman. Judging from the tone, She's older than I am... but not by much. 25, perhaps. I turn towards the origin of the scream... And jump. Grabbing the ends of the cape, I feel the air pass my body as I begin to actually glide across the rooftops, for the first time. It's actually... thrilling, truth be told. Were I any other man, I'd pay more attention to the thrill of this. But, of course... I'm not.

I pass the area of which the woman is being chased, before landing on the shadowy ledge of a nearby building. I turn, surveying the situation. It's actually not that much different from when I did this a month ago. Two thugs, chasing a woman. One is armed, the other isn't. The only difference is... The thug isn't holding a knife. He's holding a gun. I clench my fists. The thug is a coward, using a gun to overpower the girl. But... If he's a coward... That should prove to be... beneficial, to my needs. I watch as the bigger thug grabs the stuggling woman, holding her in place. The armed thug holds the gun forward.

"Now, little lady... How's bout that fine purse you got dere?"

The woman hugs the purse, protecting it.

"It was my mother's!"

...The honoring of a parent's possession. Something I can relate to. The thug, however, doesn't seem as taken with it.

"An' this is your life, we're talkin about, sweetie. Now hand it over!"

"NO!"

"Fine! Have it your way!"

"Please... Please don't..."

The thug pulls the trigger. I wasn't planning on doing it this fast, but... screw it. NOW'S the time to act.

As the thug pulls, Something whistles through the air, striking the gun and the gunman's hand, forcing them apart. The thug screams as the object flies, sticking into a wall behind them. I know what the object is... considering I was the one who threw it. A shuriken... modified into the shape of a Bat. The Batarang, as Alfred called it. (Alfred, in case it wasn't apparent before... Had alot to say about this. Unfortunatley.)

I contemplate my next move, before I finally act.

"What the hell was that?!"

And then, I open my eyes. The lenses activate, sending a glow through the darkness. The thug looks up at it. His jaw nearly drops. It's showtime.
With a push off of the building, I leap out of the shadows, cape spread, casting a fearsome silluoette over the terrified thug.

"HOLY ****!"

I land between him, and the woman being held by the bigger thug. The thug stares at me, for a moment, before screaming at the top of his lungs, and running away. I hear the woman be thrown aside, behind me, by the bigger thug. I grit my teeth, before spinning, and sending a nice, swift drop kick to the thug's jaw. Due to the ceramic lining in my boot, it knocks him back quite a distance. I turn to the woman... Who seems as terrified of me as the thug was. I point to an exit to the alleyway.

"Run."

Even though she's scared of me, She complies, nodding slowly. I turn to the direction of the running thug. I cannot allow him to escape... Especially considering he's something I've been waiting to face. A mugger. With a gun.

I throw a grapnel line out to the rooftops above us, before swinging up to them. With the thug, He won't get far, due to him having to jump over trash cans and climb wire fences. With me, I only have the rooftops. So, I run, with my cape flapping behind me. It creates a very... haunting effect, that I only catch a glimpse of in the shadows below me. Truly, I've become more than a man. I've become a creature of the night.

Jumping down from the rooftops, I spread my cape, and slam my feet into the thug's chest, knocking him back. As he struggles to get up, I throw out another grapnel line, wrapping it around his legs. I pull, sending him back to the ground. Pulling him towards me, I find it difficult, at first, due to his struggling. He claws at the ground, whimpering, doing anything in his power to get away. Why, I believe the man's terrified of something...
I grab him, and hoist him up, with one arm. His whimpers become louder, looking at me with glassy eyes of awe and fear. He won't have to see me for much longer... Considering I plan on dropping him and his pal infront of the Gotham City Police Department. (Unnoticed, of course) However, I'm sure I'm something he won't forget, anytime soon. I sneer at him, as he begins to speak.

"Wh... Wha... What in god's name... ARE you?!"

I pull him closer, angrily. I need a name. Something that the criminals will whisper in fear, and something that the citizens of Gotham will turn to for hope.

"I'm-"

I stop. My real voice... It doesn't match the persona I've taken on. It's deep... But not nearly as inhuman as I'd like. I go to a deep, dark corner of my vocal cords... somewhere I've never dared tread before... and unleash it, onto the souls of Gotham. Thunder cracks behind me, as the rasped words escape my lips. I've sucessfully adoped a person that has become more than a simple man. This persona is a mythic creature of the night. Not unlike Bruce Wayne, whose purpose has now become that of a shell and a mask for my true self. This is my true self. I live, on this night. We all live. Bruce Wayne, my true self, and the other. Who is the other? The superstitious will come to know the name well.

"I'm Batman."

Character You Would Like To Play: Terry Holt/Mr. Terrific II

Basic History Of The Character: To know who Terry Holt is, you must first know who his grandfather, Michael Holt is. Michael Holt was a member of the Justice Society adopting the code name of "Mister Terrific". He participated in missions and even won the Medal of Honor, but because he was a black man he wasn't featured in the JSA comics and was always belittled by his teamates. After the breakup of the JSA, Michael satyed on with the U.S. Goverment and did covert missions along with Ted "Wildcat" Grant. During a mission to infiltrate Malcolm X's inner cirlce, Michael saw the light and converted to Islam. He resigned from service after Malcolm X was killed. After his resignation everything started going good for Michael. His business, Holt Electronics, boomed out the gate and became one of the world's most inovative companies, earning him billions in the process. Michael's only daughter, Elizabeth became a famous television reporter and was engaged to renowed author Terrance Sloan. Terrance dissapeard mysteriously, leaving Elizabeth 6 months pregnant. Right before Terry was born, Michael published a best selling tell all book Under The Hood he revealed his secret identity. Terry grew up in a life of privleage and at 18, he started his training to take up his grandfather's mantle and become the next Mr. Terrific. At 21 he finished first in his class at Gotham University while leading the basketball team to a NCAA tournament championship. Terry then went to medical school and became a renowned surgeon. After his 8 years of training and with assistance of his grandfather's experience and technology, Terry patrols the street of New York City as the hard hitting. Mr. Terrific. He stares at me with a look of feirce determination.

"If you're at you limit, then you still got two miles to go, boy."

He jogs off a few yards ahead of me and turns back around.

"It ain't getting any closer, son."

I manage to pull myself up on my throbbing feet and aching knees. I run the next two miles without slowing down.

Character You Would Like To Play: Dr. Peter Silverstone/Blackrock

Basic History Of The Character: Dr. Silverstone was the director of research and development for United Broadcasting, and as such, responsibility fell onto him to study an alien artifact that the company acquired. The artifact happened to be a polished, black stone that harnessed radio, satellite, and virtually any other form of telecommunication signal, and converted it into usable energy. Sensing that the rock could be put to better use than whatever United Broadcasted had planned for it, Peter stole it from the lab, incorporated it into a costume, and assumed the identity of Blackrock as a hero of Metropolis.

Of course, it's only a matter of time before the endless stream of media traveling through Silverstone's brain takes it toll on him.

Three Reasons Why You Have Chosen That Character:

1. I've been playing him since late in last season.

2. Superman villain. 'Nuff said.

3. He's just got a cool assortment of powers, with some interesting consequences that I have planned for them.

What Do You Plan On Doing With This Character As A Person (IE: How are you 'utlimizing' him or her?): I hope to make him into what Two-Face is to Batman in the regular DCU: ie - an ally who turns to the side of evil, becoming the personification of what the respective hero could become if they had made the wrong choices.

Peter rocketed through the sky, not slowing down even for a moment to give the Silver Banshee time to mount another attack against him. He had to use all of his speed to keep the creature from letting off another scream, knowing that it would, in all probability, be the last thing he'd ever hear.

'Damn, this creep's already leveled half of downtown!' he thought. He charged up his hand to deliver the meanest right hook he could muster. 'Not one more life!'

Playing before his mind's eye, thanks to the stone itself, Blackrock could see the image of both combatants, which was being filmed and broadcast from the ground, several stories below them. And he, along with the whole world watching, saw as his fist missed the Banshee's jaw.

"Crap."

The supernatural villainess seized the opportunity to attack and grabbed Peter by the sides of his head and inhaled sharply, preparing to unleash the deadly wail that had reduced so many innocent people to ashes already today.

Blackrock stared death in the face at that moment and panicked. With lightning speed, his hands covered the Banshee's mouth and poured black, flaming energy straight through the back of her head.

Peter stared downward in disbelief as the decapitated body of the Silver Banshee dropped to the ground like a lifeless piece of meat.

Yeah, that's me, Blackrock. A real hero.

Basic History Of The Character:
Matt had just recently gotten the role of his career that he believed would put him on everyone's A-list. The only problem is that he has now been type-casted. He will struggle very much in order to try to hold his former fame and the birth of Clayface will eventually turn out.

1. I started his story out towards the end of the last Season.

2. As I said on my previous application from last season, I play a hero and walking-the-line character and this is my first time taking on a villain. I am a major Batman fan so I should have no problem playing from his Rogue's Gallery.

3. During this season is going to be when Matt finally turns evil and the shapeshifting beast Clayface is born.

I'm going to do something that echoes the first appearance of Clayface back in the day but change it up. This will allow a mix of that long with my favorite protrayal of Clayface in the BTAS series. I was having second thoughts about being able to play this villain after creating him, but...I will try to continue him after he has become Clayface.

Character You Would Like To Play: Guy Gardner

Basic History Of The Character: A former detective from the Gotham PD, Guy Gardner was attacked and hospitalized by gangster Black Mask. In the hospital and contemplating suicide, Guy was approached by an alien named Kilowog to join an intergalactic police force known as The Green Lantern Corps. Guy is apart of the cloak and dagger section of the Corps run by a young ambitious alien named Sinestro. Guy and his fellow Yellow Lanterns weild yellow power rings that aren't as powerful as their Green counterparts and force the Yellow Lanterns to use knives and sidearms in it's place, but the rings used for more practical reasons and can keep a charge much longer than the green rings.

Basic History Of The Character: Mick Rory became fascinated with fire when he was a child. The fascination quickly turned into an obsession, and Rory set his home on fire. My first post as Heat Wave will be his history, so I'm not gonna say more here.

Mick Rory, named Heat Wave by the media, stood on top of an apartment building across from a liquor store. 10 minutes ago he had thrown two small charges inside, one had sprayed the floor and walls with gasoline when it went off, the other was a minor explosion wich served as the ignition.
He had calmly walked inside, armed with his pistol-sized flamethrower, and immediately melted the single security camera off the wall.
Bottles of alcohol had started to explode and the liquid inside increased the speed and size of the flames eathing through everything in sight.
The clerk had had no time to respond to being bathed in the foul smelling liquid, before he could feel nothing but a sprawling pain on every inch of his body.
He had screamed and dropped to the ground, but nothing helped. The flames were eating him alive.
Heat Wave walked slowly to the counter, looking in admiration at the fire that was consuming the store, as if the purpose of attacking the store was just to see it burn instead of robbing it.
But rob it he did, and when he reached the counter he opened the register and took out 400 dollars.
‘400 dollars?’ he tought, ‘This is a complete waste of my time’.
His sense of smell alerted him that the clerk was most likely burned to a crisp. His eyes found the small pile of burning meat that was once a man, and Heat Wave smiled. ‘Well, not a complete waste of time’.
He made his way out of the store as he heard the approaching sirens howling in the night. He should hurry up and leave, go home. He knew this, but he just couldn’t walk away from yet another one of his masterpieces.
So it was, that he had made his way into to apartment building across the road, gone up to the roof, and watched as the fire engulfing the store danced beautifully in the night, and seemed as if it was reaching for the moon.
He smiled. And he shed a tear of joy.
It was just so beautiful.

Basic History Of The Character: Ray Palmer first gained his powers whilst shrinking himself to escape a cave-in...right? Not this time. Instead, the disastrous side-effect that had made the formula previously deadly was not nullified, and Jean Loring watched in horror as her husband slowly died. After being airlifted and recovering in hospital, Jean modified the lens that had shrunk Ray and finally accomplished what he had never been able to - discarding of the lethal substance whilst maintaining the power it grants. She has now decided to take up a costume and calls herself the Atom, fighting injustice in Ray's name.

If Jean recognised the ire in the principle's tone, she did not alter to expression to acknowledge it. Instead, she merely placed her jacket onto the back of the chair and gazed up at the students gathered before her. An award-winning smile curved her rouged lips, and a single digit darted upwards to push back a stray lock of ebony hair. "Principle Earling! I'm so sorry to be of an inconvenience. Traffic was murder."

"Ms Loring, it is three o'clock in the afternoon."

"I know. Rush hour just keeps getting earlier and earlier..." She slumped back into her chair, attempting to conceal the exhaustion that was throbbing through her battered form. Basic History Of The Character: From JB's original application...

The last survivor of the Martian race, J'onn was accidentally transported to Earth at the end of his planet's civil war. A war which wiped out all life on Mars. J'onn has been living on Earth since the fifties under the guise of John Jones, a private investigator in South Florida.

There he makes a decent living helping the less fortunate as Mr. Jones, but he sometimes moonlights as a mythical vigilante figure the papers have dubbed the Manhunter from Mars.
J'onn has come to terms with being the last Martian in the universe, but the recent Rover missions gave him hope that somehow his people might have survived. His hopes were dashed however when they reported back with no signs of any intelligent life present on the planet.
Devestated once more, and hating himself for even thinking there was hope to begin with, J'onn has given up his vigilante and detective life and has been stuck in a bottle of whiskey ever since...

He had craved it for quite some time, since his ordeal and potential outing. While he had tried his absolute best not to make those concerns know to the humans and metahumans he had agreed to work with... in the end, he just needed to get away.

So now, J'onn J'onnz found himself floating at the edge of the Earth's atmosphere, looking down on those who he had learned to adopt as his own culture over the years. But even now, he found himself questioning. Was he truly wise to endow such faith in them? After all... There was no secret he could not unravel. And what he had wasn't always nessacarily pleasant. Human beings were imperfect... thus, they were more succumbed to evil than he was, even though he wasn't completely unphased by it.

Why did he even call himself "The Martian Manhunter", if he truly felt he could trust them? J'onn found himself in confliction, even in isolation. Would he ever find the answers? Why did he even need answers, at this point? He feared he would never truly know.

"J'onn. We need you."

J'onn opened his eyes, hearing the voice of one of his newest allies. He had not probed his mind for very long, but from what he gathered, this 'Super man' was one of the few... purer ones he had encountered. Perhaps if anyone was to contradict his newfound confliction, it would be him.

Basic History Of The Character: Dick was born into a circus family, a team of incredibly talented and trained gymnasts. Eagerly becoming part of the family tradition, Dick was trained in the art of agility and is currently part of Haly's Circus' finest act: the Flying Graysons.

1. It gives me a chance to work with possibly the best Batman RPer here.

The first time Richard Grayson ever saw a superhero before his eyes was several months before the event that would, undoubtedly, alter the course of his life forever. The day had begun like any other, as days of importance invariably did; he had risen at six o'clock, prepared himself for his solo training, and then ventured out into the park that the circus had rested in overnight. It was his first time in such a grand city; it was only natural to feel an urge to explore it. He would be dining out tonight, after the show. Metropolis was famous for its glamorous restaurants, and his parents had a particular place in mind.

Apparently this was where they had first met. Dick only hoped that when he found a spouse, their marriage would be as fruitful as theirs.

"Excuse me?" A hesitant tone broke into Dick's ponderings.

He turned to see a relatively young woman, crimson tresses falling jsut past her shoulders, darkly-hued orbs scanning him in a away similar to a hawk's keen gaze. "Yes, ma'am?" he responded, somewhat flustered. She was beautiful' not breathtakingly, but enough to catch the teenaged boy's attention.

"Do you know where I can find a woman by the name of Doris Zeul?"

Dick paused, reluctant to answer. Doris had only recently become a part of the circus, and was largely a mystery to him. She performed an interestingly realistic magic act, altering her size at random; despite her status as a "rookie" in the circus business, she was still impressive. "Erm...may I ask why you want to speak with her?"

A soft smile brushed her rouged lips. "My name's Professor Loring. I'm her...erm...mentor, of sorts. I heard she'd joined the circus, and thought I might pay her a visit."

"Oh. Cool. I'm Dick." Why the hell had he blurted that out? A slight expression of confusion marred her visage, and he quickly added, "Follow me. She's right this way." He turned, feeling his cheeks redden in embarrassment. And then, all hell broke loose.

One of the circus carts overturned, twisting through the air and impacting on the garss just metres away from the pair. Dick cursed and whipped around to grip Jean's arm and get her to safety. She was already gone. Casting any thought of bemusement aside, he broke out into a sprint, sparing few glances to assess the situation. From what he could see, though, havoc was being inadvertantly wreaked everywhere. He felt himself being scooped up in a familiar embrace, and set down behind a bundle of shrubbery.

"Son, are you all right?" his father demanded.

"I'm fine!" he said hurriedly. "Where's Mom?"

The elder man's face paled. "I thought she would be with you."

"Oh, God."

Their eyes rested upon the enormous figure of Doris Zeul towering over them, the leopard-print bodysuit that accompanied her act stretching to cover her entire form, and in her mammoth grasp...Dick's mother was unconscious, a swelling encompassing one side of her forehead.

"Get away from me, or I'll kill her!" Zeul roared.

"No. No, you won't." A costumed female suddenly appeared on the giantess' shoulder, gloved hands balled into fists. "Geronimo!" she cried, and leapt for the hostage.

And, as his father scrambled to seize the woman, Dick could only utter one word of amazement, his gaze locked onto the David and Goliath-reminiscent duel taking place before him.

"Wow."

Basic History Of The Character: Rocketed to Earth after his homeworld, Krypton, exploded in a seismic catastrophe, Kal-El was found and taken in by Jonathan and Martha Kent. Raised as Clark Kent, the child thoughta regular human. Well, with the exception of the super powers he had as a result of Earth's environment in comparison to krypton's much harsher environment, of course. He grew up with a keen intelect, a thirst for knowledge, and a big heart. Now, as a reporter for the Daily Planet, Clark strives to use his powers to help others, while avoiding glory and the public eye as to still lead a normal life. When I was a kid, I never really did anything athletic. Not because I wasn't good at sports, but because I didn't want to hurt anybody. So, I tended to spend my weekends at the town library. By the time I was sixteen, I'd read hundreds of books in that place. And there was one that always stuck with me. The Gladiator, by Philip Wylie. It was about a young man named Hugo, who had been born with superhuman abilities. He could run faster than any vehicle, he could toss trees around like they were paperweights, and he was impervious to almost all conventional forms of harm. He had a great deal to offer the world. But the world just wouldn't have him. When he used his powers, he ended up hurting people, and when he hid them, he ended up letting bad things happen when he could have done something. He ended up losing everyone around him, either by death or his own shortcomings as a social creature. And then, one night, while camped with archeologists in South America, he climbed to the top of one of the old pyramids, and yelled at the sky, asking god why he was ever born in the first place.

And then a bolt of lightning struck him dead.

Of course, the way my life's been, that story couldn't not strike a cord with me. I read it and re-read it dozens of times. And each time it had the same effect. I'd look at Hugo's life and wonder if mine would go the same way. That I'd fail at walking the line between using my powers responsibly and keeping them a secret, and end up losing everything. And ever since I was a kid, ever since I read that book for the first time, on cloudy, stormy nights, I'll sometimes float up into the clouds, and look up at the sky. And I'll stay there for a while, hovering silently, taking in the sights around me. And then, after a time, I'll say just one word.

Basic History Of The Character: After his father, a military man, died, hal swore to honor him by becoming an Air Force pilot. However, his Air Force career ended rather quickly after he was dishonorably discharged for disobeying a direct order, and then ounching a superior officer. Working as a test pilot for Ferris Aircraft, he thought his dream of serving a greater cause was dead. Of course, that was until he met Abin Sur.

1. I always liked the character.

Basic History Of The Character: Dinah Laural Lance, the last born and only daughter in the family was born to Dinah Drake-Lance and Larry Lance, a Private Investigator. Dinah Drake was the costumed hero known as “The Black Canary” during World War II. She fought in the battles unseen among the Paranormal Battle fronts of Europe, before settleing down and marrying.
In the 70’s Dinah was born, the youngest child with two older brothers. Joshua, the oldest, Howard, the middle child, However, there was something different about Dinah. Possibly because of the strange things her mother was exposed to during the war as the Black Canary, Dinah was born with inhumanly powerful vocal cords, enabling her to produce crippling noises when she screamed her loudest. This, of course, made her a hassle to deal with as she grew, but the family adapted. When Larry died of cancer in the early 90s, Dinah took over his private detective agency. Renaming it "Black Canary agency", she serves as a detective for hire in Gotham City, often working with the new local vigilante, known as "The Batman".

The early evening sunlight streamed in from the windows on either end of the hallway, casting long pillars of orange light on the walls as I lock the door of my small detective agency.

Two lost cat calls and one call to shadow a man.

His wife, no doubt trying to see if he’s cheating. I stuffed my key’s in my bag and walked down the hallway. I jogs down the steps and out through the buildings front door making for the corner market, before heading home.

I wish I’d ridden my motorcycle to work instead of tricking my way into a ‘work out.’ I walk past a large ‘gala’ event and makes a face, taking a wide berth around it. However I reach the tiny little house in the suburbs of Gotham just as the last little peek of light leaves the sky.
Gotham was my town, and while I might not know all the social circles like Bruce Wayne, I knew the streets like the back of my hand.
Dad had taught me an appreciation of Gotham’s city works at a young age.

Pushing open the kitchen door to the little 50’s style house I place the brown bag containing two containers of whipped cream on the table.

My mother is bending over the sink, her sleeves rolled up and the water pouring from the faucet as she rinses off lettuce. Her once black hair was now streaked with silver. Her figure still slender and lithe from her year’s in the JSA.
The forgotten years. The years no one thinks about anymore and that mom refuses to acknowledge.

“Hey honey! How was your day.”

I dump my bag on the chair and grab a glass out of the cabinet, pouring myself a cup of lemonade.

“The usual, there’s a “Twilight Gala’ going on downtown. One of those things you’ll hear about in the gossip mag’s tomorrow morning. “Billionaire sleeps with East Side ****.”” I say making my voice deeper with the last part and taking a sip of the drink.

Mom flicks off the water and shakes out the lettuce, setting the lettuce in the colander she places it on a paper towel and puts it on the table, setting a glass bowl next to it.

“You could be there Dinah.” She said before turning and taking out carrots from the refrigerator.


I sat down at the table and started to tear the lettuce, dropping it into the bowl.

“I’m right where I want to be *almost*, as much as I like fancy ball’s and dresses, I just don’t have time for that stuff.”

Mom sighs and starts to cut the carrots into thin slices.

“Dinah, I wish you’d go to college. You have such great potential. Even more than your brothers.”

I sighed, tired of this conversation that had been replayed over and over in various different way’s.

“Mom, I went to college-“

“-Occupational School.” Her mother corrected.

“Alright. Occupational School. Mom, I was the youngest in my class and I graduated at the top of it. I graduated at the top of the whole school. Ever.” I said tearing the lettuce with gusto.

“That’s well and good but you can’t do this all your life.” Mom said sprinkling the carrot slices into the bowl.

I stand up and placed the empty colander in the sink, before turning around and looking at my mother.

“It’s the only thing I can do. Albeit it it’s second on my list.”

Mom stands up and looks me in the eye.

“Dinah…Don’t go there.” She said, her voice low and warning.

I raise my hands into the air spying the hidden tabloid mom had stuffed in between the breadbox and the wall.

“Why not? We go there everytime!” I grab the tabloid and plopped it on the table.
“Look mom. Look!” I point to the head line.

Mom sighs and sits down
“You have such high ideals. You think that being a ‘super-hero’ is the highest level one can get to help people. You’re wrong. Those day’s are gone, now you can do so much more as a police officer-“

“-Or a PI-“ I inserted.

Mom glides over my comment and continues.
“But the ‘heroes’ who are there now aren’t heroes Dinah. They are vigilantes, faded imitations of what your Uncles and I were. Now.” SHe holds up her hand as I open my mouth to respond.
“Go change your clothes. Josh and Helena will be here soon with Howard. And I won’t let you sit at the dinner table with a bare midriff.”

I snatch up my bag.
“Helena wears a bare midriff all the time and I don’t see you complaining.”I shoot before racing up the stairs

I run to my room and fall across the bed, before rolling over on my back.
My room is decorated like a picture from Pottery Barn, a bright picture from Pottery Barn. Mom had wanted muted tones and I had insisted on bright oranges and reds.

I sigh before walking to my closet to find something ‘suitable’ for mom’s tastes.

“Mom! We’re here!”

“Oh..there…you are…”

I jog quickly down the stairs as Howard, and Josh walked in the door, followed by a tall, long black haired woman. Emerging from the stairwell just in time to see them enter and mom envelope each one of them in a hug.

I’d picked out a cute short skirt, in grey and coupled it with a bright orange top. my hair was pulled back over my ears with orange clips. Around my neck hung a necklace from which a silver pendant of a stylalized bird dangled, a gift from my father.

“Dinah!” Howard said giving me a hug. “How’s it goin’ lil’ sis?”

I reservedly hugged him.
“Good, how’s life at school?”

“Same old, same old. Drafting, drawing, etc.” he says commenting on his schooling of Architecture.

I look past him at mom hugging Helena.
Helena was gorgeous and nice, yet I resented her immensely, for reason’s unknown. No, not true, I knew why. “Helena is well versed in Karate.” “Helena can shoot a bow” “Helena has such pretty hair…” “Helena…” “Helena…” “Helena…” You’d think she was the end all be all.

“Hey!” I was brought out of my bitterness by Josh’s hug.
“Nice hair!” he said pulling back and picking up a strand of it between his fingers.

“Well, she figures she has to compete with Helena some how.” Howard teased, his arm still around me.

I give him a hard nudge in the ribs as Mom and Helena were looking at us.
“It was for a case”

I notice my brother’s bored stares and feel a pang.

“Shall we move into the dining room?” Mrs. Lance suggested garnering a chorus of agreement from all and they all drifted into the living room, leaving me standing there. I look at the picture of my father on the wall. Off all of us children I was the only one who’d inherited both mom’s and dad’s sense of detective skills. On top of which I was practically a protégé in my martial art’s training, ‘Practically’ because I wasn’t the best yet. My Uncle Ted, or ‘Wildcat’ as he was called had been secretly training me for years, mostly in a hybrid form of Boxing and Martial Art’s. If mom ever found Out I’d be dead. I was lucky neither Howard or Josh knew because they’d surely tell her.

Dad had been the only one who knew. He’d kept it a secret and encouraged me up till his death 4 years ago when I was 16. I only wished that the desk across from mine at the office was his.

“Dinah? Are you coming?”

“On my way!”

Character You Would Like To Play: Harvey Dent/Two Face

Basic History Of The Character: After a murder attempt gone wrong kills his wife and severly scars the left side of his face Harvey Dent's mind split into two distinct personalities: one being his normal self and the other being the murderous monster known as Two Face. For a time they worked together to track down the person responsible while dealing out they're own brand of justice on anyone they caught breaking the law. With the help of Batman they tracked down the one responsible for destroying Harvey life but when the time came to finish him Batman was able to talk Harvey down. Two Face, disgusted of Harvey's "weakness", took the opportunity to strike. After slitting the killer's throat a fight broke out between Two Face and Batman causing Two Face to declare that Batman is a menace to the city and must be eliminated.

Three Reasons Why You Have Chosen That Character:

1. I played him in the first season and want to continue with his story.

2. As Iv said before he is in my top three favorite Batman villains.

3. Plus I like playing with the internal struggle between Harvey and Two Face.

So that was how it started, during the day and into the night Two Face would go to work going to every seedy bar in Gotham. Recruiting henchmen and gaining contacts, wether they like it or not, while the two hours I get to myself everynight is spent just wandering the streets lost in my memories. It was on one of these walkes that I come across some punk harassing a woman.

"Come on b**ch give me the money! Your only going to make it harder on yourself!"

The woman looks at the creep with fear in her eyes.

"Iv already told you I don't have any money!"

She opens her purse to prove her pont.

"If I did Id buy food for my kids instead of selling ass out here!"

With that the creep flashes her an evil grin.

"Well your just going to have to give me somthing else."

"No please."

Iv heard enough, before I even knew what I was doing I had the punk's head smashed against the wall of an alley the switchblade pressed to his throat.

"Its not going to happen tonight you piece of s**t!"

I apply alittle more preassure digging the blade into his throat, all it would take is just the flick of my wrist and another piece of filth would be off the street. But I stop myself, this is how Two Face would handle this. I can't stoop to his level. I reach back and punch the creep in the face, knocking out a few of his teeth and sending him unconcious to the floor. I turn to the woman who is huddled in the corner of the alley scared out of her mind.

"Its ok, im not going to hurt you."

I reach out and help her to her feet.

"Call the cops and report this creep, don't let him get away with this."

She just nodes her head. I turn to walk out of the alley but I stop myself, I reach in my pocket and pull out a $100, the last of the money that Two Face emptied from my account, and give it to the woman.

"Get you and your kids somthing to eat."

She mutters a thank you and runs out of the alley, I tie the creep up with some rope I found in a dumpster and walk out of the alley. As I walk past a newstand somthing catches my eye, the headline of a newspaper.

Well I'm more of a vertigo fan, so Constantine type things, and don't DC own the rights to The shadow now? They are my two fav hero's, lol. I'm not that up on DC, which is why I thought the ultimate would be better for me than the classic one...(captain marvel is also rather cool)

Basic History Of The Character: As a child, Roy Harper was raised on an Indian reservation. And as he grew older, he learned and would later master deadshot marksmanship with the bow and arrow. Roy moved to Star City, and started from scratch...He had nothing. No food, no family, no friends. But through the years, he found himself to be given a chance at life, and established his own business. From then on, he became one of the cities wealthiest millionaires. Roy took the name "Green Arrow" and started using his perfected skills to help the innocent. As well as using the money he had earned to supply himself with various trick arrows and gadgets for his new arsenal.

1. I played him last season, and really enjoyed it.

2. What I have planned will bring forth an Ultimate version for one of Green Arrow's deadliest foes...So I'm going to be continuing my stories from last season for that introduction.

3. Because of already playing Ollie, I like showing the differences between this version of the character.

What Do You Plan On Doing With This Character As A Person (IE: How are you 'utlimizing' him or her?): I plan on putting Roy through a lot of things this season. Twist and turns, not knowing what to do next, and plenty of new obstacles. There's also going to be a few people from his past returning which I'll introduce, and Roy won't be expecting any of these suprise visits. Especially with what he'll be going through.

Oh you did it this time, Harper. You really ****** up this time. I've been following the Chinese mob for months from a tip I recieved from unamed sources who've offered me a payday so big if I make it out alive, tonight though it doesn't seem that way. These guys are some of the best in the business, and I'm not afraid to admit even better then little old me. But that's just in hand to hand, I doubt any of these guys could hit a certain target with four arrows in hand like I can. So here I am, stripped of my equipment and personal information with nothing but my green pants, all because I was one man jumped by about a dozen ninjas. The funny this was that I thought I had enough training to go in alone, should've called for backup.

Minutes pass and two of the guards start talking and laughing to eachother while talking in chinese, and all I can do is sit there and watch. Usually, I'm known for my temper of never being calm no matter what the situation. But that's different, I DID come all the way from Star to Gotham for a reason. Akido Akebono, leader of some of the world's finest underground mobs. I was told when I was captured that he'd deal with me himself when he was finished with whatever the hell he was dealing with in the first place. It's only a matter of time, and I aint goin' nowhere. One of the guards come to me and jabs me right across the face, knocking two of my teeth out. I was already bleeding from the beating I got when I got into this dump, but that's ok I've been hit harder.

"You have alot of nerve dealing with people who aren't even in your league, kid."

"And here I thought you only spoke chinese. If I have alot of "nerve" as you put it, then you hit like a girl."

That earned me another jab right in the gut, and I nearly fell over in the chair.

"Don't piss me off tonight, I've broken many necks before in my time with working for Mr. Akebono. You're lucky he gave us orders not to kill you right here and now, or you would've been dead before you had the chance to make another one of your sharp insults."

"Look buddy, I don't want to be here just as much as you do. But unfortunately for you, I have a little business of my own with Akibono. So you mind not gettin' all up in my face? And another thing, the next time you try and threaten me, make sure I'm not a guy whose been hit by the likes of giants, metahumans, or even goons like you. You don't scare me, big guy."

"Why you no good peace of..."

"Enough!!"

Finally. Akido walks in after my new friend attempted to rip me a new one, with his nice expensive suit, cheap $30 dollar haircut, and red sunglasses. If I was dealing with him, I could never take him seriously. I mean all that cash and he couldn't afford a decent Rolex watch? I'm not here for that anyway, tonight, I'm here to deliver an arrow directly through his skull.

"I've been hearing you both long enough. Chang, get back to your quarters and take Chi with you. Remember, he's not fluent in English like the rest of us. Our new associate here and I need to have a private conversation of our own."

"Sir, yes sir."

"So, I take it you had a "busy" night?"

I grinned at my shot to joke around with him, just so he doesn't see what I'm really capable of doing to him. I like to soften up my opponents before taking 'em out. But he wasn't in the mood for small talk. Once his boys left and I went for a punchline, the next thing you know he came out of nowhere and did some flying judo kick which gushered even more blood.

"You think I'm here for games? You're nothing but a waste of time for me, all you heroes that have tried to bring me down just ended up making fools of themselves. I'm one of the best of the best, and I plan on being like that for years to come. I've read alot about you and actually found out you prance around calling yourself, the Green Arrow."

"Well who did you expect I was, the big bad Batman? Look who's doing the small talk now, mister general chow's chicken. You seriously don't think you can keep me here for long, do you?"

If there's another trait I'm known for, it's for always being prepared. Luckily when these guys were friskin' me and taking all my stuff, they never had the thought of checking the inside of my mouth. While I've been sitting here for hours, I kept a sharp arrow bud underneath my bottom teeth and managed to twist my neck behind me and spit it out in my left hand. I've been working the ropes they tied me up in since then, what the hell is it made out of? I can slowly feel it loosening, it'll just take a little more time.

Akido starts pacing back and fourth in the room, just my luck. That's when I start whispering to myself after what I saw he was going for.

"Aw hell..."

He comes to a halt, and grabs the two swords hanging on the wall. Within those swords in my reflection, which he grins once seeing. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to know what is going through his head, he was going to MY head off in about 10 seconds if I didn't do something.

"KIAAAHH!!"

****. Akido came running toward me with both swords at hand and slashed the two together when he reached closed enough to do some real damage, I pushed back on the chair I was in a fell on the ground. He missed, and tried another swing while I kept rolling out of the way as the swords kept hitting the chair instead of me. The rope that held me up broke and I was suddenly free, all I have to do now is get my gear.

"Get back here you fool, and face me! You're about to feel the real wrath of the dragon."

I run toward the back of the room where all my stuff had been stashed, and then the next thing you know he starts blowing out fire out of his mouth and his lights are glowing like the frontlights to my Lambo. His body is fused with some sord of dragon....great, guess that explains the red shades he was wearing earlier.

I start rapidly shooting arrows and pulling back on about 5 each time I released the last batch, each of them got fried in mid air and didn't even make it to Akibono. I think out of the five though, two managed to pin him up against the wall. Damn, should've used that to my advantage. He came toward me and didn't need the swords anymore obviously, the entire room started getting embrawled in fire and I was that much closer to my death bed every where I turned. Now how in the blue hell am I going to take down this guy? That's when it hit me.

"The fire extinguisher arrow."

Even with all the crap happening to me now, I managed to crack a grin at the thought I just had. I kept rolling out of the way everytime he took a swing at me or spitted out a bigger ball of fire then the last. All that was in question now was how I was going to get that arrow down his throat....

Well, since you didn't do much with Zod and we weren't sure if you were coming back, we kind of "retconned" him out along with a bunch of other characters for the sake of future players. While you can pick him up where you left off, this also means that others could use him in a completely different way. I actually had some plans to use him quite differently from how you did. But if you want to re-apply, it's your call.

Following him into the subway into his home, The wizard claimed he was the chosen one to fight for justice etc. And by uttering the word 'Shazam' it grants him the wisdom of solomon, the strength of hercules, the stamina of atlas, power of zeus, courage of achilles and the speed of mercury, via a magical lightingbolt. Upon uttering the word again, he transforms back into his original form. The wizard died from a boulder after bestowing him with this power, so Billy vowed to fight for all that is good in the world.

Billy gained his powers in the forties, and has been fighting evil since then, building up great experience and knowledge, becoming the most experienced hero, whilst still being unheard of. The stamina of Atlas has slowed his aging, so he appears in his fourties.

Bursting through thick foliage in the woods comes Earth’s mightiest mortal. Like the lightning bolt that adorns his chest, he speeds through the falling snow.

Setting down upon the peak of the snowy hill, his shadow stretches over the cabin below, screams can be heard from inside, even past the howling winds.

Inside, a fire crackles, heating up implements of torture whilst four men surround another, beaten, bloody and tied to a chair.

“Just tell us the code, and you get to keep your fingers…”

As the biggest of the four men grabs a hot poker and raises his arm to inflict further pain, the cabin door splinters apart, revealing a red suited hero, no more than a distant myth or legend.

“What the fu…”

A fist breaks the sentence apart, along with the speakers jaw.
Charging forwards, the larger man’s strike only hits thin air, moments later he hit’s the floor.

Hands hurl themselves at the caped figure, breaking and cracking themselves upon impact.

Leaving the men to slumber in their unconsciousness, only an empty chair is left in the cabin, as the bleeding man appears outside a hospital briefly after.

But his ego would soon come into play as a new hero emerges to save Metropolis, a hero by the name of Superman. Superman does what's right, and Lex doesn't like that. Basic History Of The Character: General Zod was a power hungry madman who attempted to overthrow the Kryptonian government and make over the world into what he calls a "True Kypton". Using an army of soilders loyal only unto him, General Zod procceded to overwhelm Krypton until he was prisoned in the Phantom Zone by a politician and scientist known as Jor El. It was during Zod's trial that his loyal artificial inteligance known as Brane' Acka hardwired himself into the computer mainframe of Krypton, which was an earlier version of himself, and threatened to destroy the planet if Zod was not released. Jor El could not in good mind free ths monster to enslave the planet, he once again imprisoned Zod in the Phantom Zone and Brane', true to his word, began a protical locked deep inside the mainframe that would overheat the planet from its core and cause the planet itself to implode. Zod was kept safe inside the Phantom Zone until such a time that Brane' Acka could free him to show the vengance of Zod upon any Kryptonian left alive.

1. He is a favorite character of mine, his harshness and brutality give him his appeal.

Also I wish to show him as a Kryptonian, not a Kryptonian molded for earth, possibly even have his appearance differnt from that of a human. i beleived that the was a discusion a while back about Krytonians having more Bat like features and that Superman was altered from the time in his pod by the yellow radiation and that Jor El made it so he would look like one of them.

With those last words, her eyes shut, and her chest stopped struggling to raise and lower with each breath. Tears welled up in Barry's goggles as he realized he hadn't been there for the one person he loved the most in the world, when she had needed him.

Barry threw himself at Zoom at near light speed and an orangish blur circled the world, ending up in the Arizona desert. Barry dropped Zoom and continued running to build up momentum. He spun and carried his momentum back to Zoom laying a haymaker on Ed's jaw and sending him flying through the air.

Basic History Of The Character: Garth was but a child when his mother’s plane went down in a freak accident above the Bermuda Triangle. He was raised by his step-father Tom Curry, and officially adopted after the accident that took his mom. Garth remembered something that he only told his step-father. Something about a weird sea creature attacking the downed plane. As he grew up, he had a supernatural connection to the water, and was very active, legally and illegally in protecting the rights of the ocean and its inhabitants. He would free captive sea animals and beat the hell out of poaching fishers keeping endangered fish as trophies. As his job he was a dive instructor, and also found he had an almost super speed when it came to swimming. One night at the bar owned by his boss, an old man referenced his mom’s plane crash, and the fact that there might be more too it. That same night, he connected with a woman who shared his love for the creatures of the sea and loathing for the ones that did them needless harm. As they went skinny dipping she transformed into the same weird creature that had been there the day his mom had died. Her attack on him was stopped by the old man, who harpooned the woman through the arm. He went to tell Garth that he was in fact an heir to the throne of Atlantis, and that it was his mission to make sure that Garth stayed safe. Though he was disbelieving at first, the old man struck a nerve with Garth by calling him by the name Orin as he walked away. That same name his mother had called him right before she died. The old man finally introduces himself as McCaffery and explains that Garth’s mother had seen foreshadowing of what was to come in Atlantis and had fled with the young Garth to the surface. He also explained that Garth was the youngest of three brothers, Orm, Arturr, and Orin, but was renamed Garth for the surface world. Orm had overthrown and murdered his father, King Orin from whom Garth had been named. People in Atlantis had thought that Arturr had also been murdered. And people had believed Atlanna and Orin to have died when they had disappeared many years before. That was until recently when Garth had saved a Navy pilot near the secret entrance to Atlantis and the charm on his necklace had begun to open the pathway. This alerted Orm’s guards that at least one Atlantean still lived. As such he had sent the Siren out to capture the survivor and bring them back for execution. Since then, Orin has met a mentor, and fought a Kraken.

Basic History Of The Character:

Milton Fine was a respectable scientist, running a think-tank in the field of nanotechnology. His work was quite impressive, which drew the attention of LexCorp, who quickly bought out his firm and his patents and left him with nothing. Falling back on a job teaching at a community college, Fine had fallen into a deep depression, worsened when he was diagnosed with cancer.

That same night, Fine began having dreams, visions of the future. He saw the world as a technological utopia, all centered around a strange device, the plans for which were laid out in full detail for him. Upon awakening, he feverishly set out to invent this device, using techniques and ideas that were centuries ahead of their time.

It was only after the device was completed when he discovered that the dream was not his own, and that he was in fact being manipulated by a being from another world.

When the being merged with him, the two became one, far more capable than either of them apart. It had set out to use Fine's device as the first step of an "upgrade" for humanity, which would then become the staging grounds to upgrade the entire universe.

1. Brainiac is a fantastic villain who gets criminally underplayed.

2. I never got around to what I was planning on doing with him in Season I.

3. We need more major Supes villains aside from just Lex.

Aside from combining his pre- and post-Crisis identities (as well as tweaking a little bit to fit in with OC's "Brane'acka"), I want to give Brainiac a bit of a fanatical edge to him. He is obsessed with this "Master Programmer" idea, and as a result, has given himself a bit of a God-complex. And since he is (at the moment) half-human, he is susceptible to emotions, which would set him apart from the typical 'robot-gone-wrong' archetype.

Milton Fine stood at his front door, gaping silently at the....thing that faced him.

Standing before him was a slightly decayed corpse, wearing the uniform of a park ranger. The eyes were rolled back, the mouth hung open lazily. There were three gaping holes in the man's forehead, and from them grew a lattice of black tar-like substance, forming veins and tendrils that ran all across the body.

I apologize for the rather unsettling appearance.

Fine still heard the voice in his mind, but it did not register to him that it was in fact emanating from this grotesque spectacle. The voice continued.

Unfortunately, this temporary interface is rather crude and obvious. Rest assured, I have gone to great lengths to ensure that I have not been compromised. Now...I believe on this world, it is customary to allow your guests into your home.

He didn't know what to say, what to do. Fine wanted to run away in terror, call the police, or maybe try and contact one of those super-humans that had been making the news. Instead, he just stared blankly, and --against his own will-- showed the creature inside.

"What...what the hell are you? What have you been doing to me?"

The corpse stepped into the house, observing the parlor with a slow sweeping glance. As it walked, Fine fought the urge to vomit as he saw yet another massive hole in the back of the man's neck, the black ooze seemingly fuzing itself with the visible spine.

Allow me to answer your second question first: I have been broadcasting signals that can only be detected by a certain brainwave frequency....namely yours. You match all of the necessary criteria to begin the first phase of my experiment, one that will prove ultimately beneficial to the both of us....and eventually, the entire universe.

Milton slumped down in a chair, pressing his hands against his temples. He wanted to force himself to wake up from what was obviously some deranged dream.

I assure you, Milton Fine, this is no hallucination. This is no illusion, this is no dream. What you are seeing with your eyes, what you are sensing with your mind, are all very real. As much as it displeases me to admit, I am currently incomplete, and you are currently terminally ill. The two of us need each other to survive.

The thing controlling the park ranger's body moved it closer to Fine, the body's limbs dangling limply like some sort of macabre marionette puppet. Fine tensed up, all but curling himself into the fetal position as the horrible thing approached him.

I must ask you to relax, Milton Fine. Despite the visual evidence to the contrary, this merger will not hurt you in any way. This merger will be far more intricate, more subtle, and I believe you will find it far more to your liking than your present status.

The ranger's hand extended towards Fine, planting the cold, dead hand on the man's forehead. The black tendrils began to move, slithering from the one body to the other. Milton Fine wanted to struggle, wanted to scream, but his body was no longer listening to him. This thing had begun to tap into his brain.

In just a few moments, Milton Fine, you and I will be one. Beginning merger......now.

Superman is in his early to mid twenties I believe. There are very little characters know to the general public, Flash and Captain Atom are really the only two public superheroes.

Basic History Of The Character: Alan Scott was given a mysterious lantern by his father, Martin Nodell Scott. Later, Alan was granted the position of Ion by the Green Lantern Corps. Iris drove towards the campus, and towards Barry's dorm, not noticing a yellow blur following her home. They got to the parking lot and she idled the car to let Barry out.

"You may not, but I do. Sorry sweetie, but you'll live. Just play ping pong with yourself or something."

Zoom's kick broke all but two of her ribs and sent her sprawling across the room.

As he heard the scream, Barry dropped the phone, and windows across town shattered as he ran to Iris's apartment. Dear god... just let her be okay. Please.

"GET AWAY FROM HER YOU SADISTIC BASTARD! IF YOU LAY ANOTHER GODDAMNED FINGER ON HER I'LL..."

"Du wht Alln? Kll me? Doubtful."

Zoom picked up Iris and threw her at blinding speed into the far wall near Barry. Barry was too shocked to react in time to catch her and she landed with a thud next to his feet. "NO! GOD DAMN YOU!" Barry picked her up and felt for a pulse. Just barely. "Iris, hold on. Please. You can do it. You're strong. Don't leave me."

"Barry. Don't do anything you'll regret. Please. It'll beokay. I just need to sleep now... good night Barry."

With those last words, her eyes shut, and her chest stopped struggling to raise and lower with each breath. Tears welled up in Barry's goggles as he realized he hadn't been there for the one person he loved the most in the world, when she had needed him.

"YOU SICK MURDERING BASTARD! I WAS NEVER ANYTHING BUT NICE TO YOU! WHAT THE HELL DID I DO TO DESERVE THIS YOU MONSTER?"

"Trted me like the dirt on your shoes. And now she's dead because of it. Who's nxt Alln? Mom? Dad? Brother? Crtnly not you. You nd to sffer for making me a frk!"

"NO! You'll hurt noone else!"

Barry threw himself at Zoom at near light speed and an orangish blur circled the world, ending up in the Arizona desert. Barry dropped Zoom and continued running to build up momentum. He spun and carried his momentum back to Zoom laying a haymaker on Ed's jaw and sending him flying through the air.



Zoom struggled to pick himself off the ground after the punch, and Barry stood, ready to beat him into hamburger when he did.

"Pick your slimey ass up you spineless pathetic worm. I want the satisfaction of beating your face into jello fairly."

What did you think of it, other than the format?The story was good, but like I said, in that format its harder to read and follow. I want to see it in prose myself before I accept you into the game. I don't know if Master Bruce, Twylight, Question, or MaskedManJRK will accept it in script format either.

"Good-night, Sentinel! And thank you!" She calls as Alan Scott makes his way back towards the steet.

Character You Would Like To Play: Catwoman A.K.A Selina Kyle

Basic History Of The Character: Selina Kyle is a twenty-eight year old stage actress/singer trying to make it on Broadway but without very much luck. At an early age, Selina had to learn how to live on her own since her mother would often be drunk or high and could not give her the attention a child needs. Selina never knew her real father. Her true father figure took form in her grandfather named Ted Grant. Helping support the struggling family, he taught her how to fight like the best of men. She caught on quickly and would often attend underground fighting matches with boys from her school since girls were not allowed to participate in actual school funded fighting tournaments. Selina worked under the alias “The Cat”. She chose that name after Ted’s stage name, “Wildcat” and the fact that she loved felines. She would continue training for much of her life. When she was 14, Ted left the Kyles’ lives for reasons that Selina still does not know.

The idea of working a “real” job never thrilled Ms. Kyle either. In her youth, she was often starving and stole food. Eventually, this habit became severe and she began stealing more and more of everything she could find. She didn’t need it…she didn’t even want it. All she wanted was to get it; to prove that she could steal it without screwing up or without people noticing. She would perform the perfect heist. Of course, stealing couldn’t amuse a girl of such talent for so long, so she took up acting. Selina was so good at lying; she figured acting was only a few steps away. It also helped that she didn’t have a terrible singing voice.

After a few regional shows, agents and big time stage directors saw her abilities. They promised her a full rich career in musical theatre. Selina thought she had made it. She couldn’t have been more wrong. All those agents and producers wanted was her body. They wanted sex and lied to her to get it. It wasn’t long before she caught on and realized her career wasn’t going to catch on too fast as she once thought. Now in New York, she turned back to crime. Feeling wronged by the people that used her, she stole from them and others who were similar, using their treasured belongings to buy things she actually wanted this time such as diamonds, priceless statues, luxurious hotel rooms; the works. Selina kept this charade of “petty” crimes up for a while. When she wasn’t stealing or auditioning, she would be protesting for animal rights. Then she watched the news. A new vigilante was in town. His name was Batman and he was cracking down on crooks like her. Using her precise martial arts/street fighting skills, she devised a costume under the name "the Cat", her childhood nickname, Selina hid her identity and still did what she loved: stealing from the dumb, soulless, easily plundered men who betrayed her or her namesakes. Selina will do anything to take them down a few notches.

Selina is skilled in martial arts and normal street fighting skills. She also is excellent with a whip. Catwoman has a Kevlar enforced costume. She is also equipped with a utility belt filled with things like smoke bombs, laser cutters, infrared goggles, tracers, and other useful items. She has diamond clawed gloves.

The cold air bit at Catwoman’s cheeks. She had her eye on the Jaded Eye Mau. It was worth more than four million dollars and one of the most precious statues Selina had ever seen. It emerald stone skin shined gorgeously in the moon light. She had to have it. Putting her hand next to the museum’s window, she flicked her wrist. Five sharp claws unsheathed themselves from the compartments in her gloves. Witch a quick twist on the window, the talons cut through the glass like butter. Selina slid her hand through the newly added hole and pushed open the window

BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!

****. I tripped the alarm.

Jumping down from the window ledge, Catwoman threw several smoke bombs against the Gotham Museum’s marble floors. They bounced off the ground providing a thick layer of cover for the thief to do her dirty work. Being stealthy was useless. The alarm had already been tripped. She had made a clumsy mistake and now would have to make up for it. Rushing over the trip lines to the Jaded Eye Mau’s display case, she smashed it in with the butt of her whip. Selina’s paw wrapped around it’s elongated neck. Yanking it out of its confines, Catwoman ran back to her entrance point. She flipped up into the air, landing cleanly on the ledge. Those slow security guards were only making their way over to the display case now. There was no way they would be able to catch her. With a flick of the wrist, she latched her whip against a near by street lamp. With a swift kick of the museum’s wall, the feline fatal swung away.

This will go great in the living room.
