They're aren't any to see. Hasbro didn't show either a resign prototype or concept art at SDCC. And the Dino's aren't looking to be in the early waves of Animated toys either. Going by the test shots stolen by Chinese factory workers and sold on Ebay. But Ratchet hasn't been showing either. :huh:

So far the preview two pack (battle damaged deluxe earth Prime and battle damaged cybertron Megatron) have shown. As well as Prowl, Bulkhead, Bumble Bee, Lockdown, Lugnut, Starscream, regular deluxe and voyager Optimus, and regular cybertron Megatron.

oh well, at least someone here gives the series a thumbs up for character-based storytelling. ;) i just love that bit between OP and ratchet at the end. quite an unusual characterization of an OP incarnation.

I was wondering what you thought of the series SB. Plot wise it has potential as well as character growth, however I agree about the animation, Transformers meets Nictoons just doesn't sit right with me.

Okay I've watched "Home is where the Spark is" It is getting better, but so far I'm reserving judgment. It is more character driven, but so far the characters seem to be shortcuts. Bumblebee seems to a dick just for the sake of pissing off Prowl, and I don't consider that good characterization. I'll have to check out other episodes before I draw a final conclusion.

I'm wondering if they'll do Sky/Jetfire. The whole Scientist forced to fight angle would work well in this series. On the other hand I'm afraid they'll mess it up and make him a one dimensional twit like they have with bumblebee so far. Still I would really like to see the huge powerful jet, whose really a scientist at heart.

Hey, Torch's chin was pointy but it wasn't painful to look at. (Ok, maybe his sideburns were...) But this show continues to have awful looking humans.

"Nanosec" was formulaic. Bumblebee learns a lesson about looking before he leaps. Megatron continues to be obviously evil while Sumdak remains hopelessly ignorant of it. And the bad guy ages faster the more he sPeeds. That concept was original when I saw it on Darking Duck in 1992. Good times.

Why did Prime only look to be about 10ft tall when confronting Nanosec(who btw made The Batman's Joker look like a model of plausible anatomy)?

Shockwave will appear as one of the Decepticons. The voice of Animated Megatron, Corey Burton, who voiced Shockwave in the original animated series, will reprise his role in Transformers: Animated.

According to the synopsis for episode 11, "Lost & Found", the Autobots clash with Decepticons Lugnut & Blitzwing, who come to Earth searching for their missing leader Megatron.

Blurr is the name of the character to be played in the Transformers Animated (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transformers_Animated) series from the Cartoon Network. He will most likely be the homage to his G1 Character, as John Moschitta will be his voice actor.

I tried to give this show the benefit of the doubt, but it sucks; period. It really looks like they just re-did Teen Titans and stuck Autobots in the leading roles. Prime is Robin, Bumblebee is Beast Boy, Bulkhead or whatever the hell his name is looks to be just like Cyborg, and Prowl is Raven. Ratchet is an old fart, Megatron is Slade. If you hated R.I.D, Energon, Armada, or Cybertron, this one will not interest you any more than those did. Sorry.

That might be the offical one.It most likly is but it still looks like Soundwave.

The color still matches the chest design still resembles the G1 design and the face is not too dis-simular.

I tried to give this show the benefit of the doubt, but it sucks; period. It really looks like they just re-did Teen Titans and stuck Autobots in the leading roles. Prime is Robin, Bumblebee is Beast Boy, Bulkhead or whatever the hell his name is looks to be just like Cyborg, and Prowl is Raven. Ratchet is an old fart, Megatron is Slade. If you hated R.I.D, Energon, Armada, or Cybertron, this one will not interest you any more than those did. Sorry. After finally catching this series for the first time this past Saturday I had to come here to check the vibe on this show and to you I say.....thank-you. Some people seem to be more generous on this show than I expected. Never a dull moment when i show up here. Anyone else surprised by the tone they taken with this show. Again it seem to be this old, water it down, anime style and cornball english slang to cast a spell on the new chosen demographic.....the 10-14 yr old male.

I don't see where the complaints are coming from. The human supervillains are boring, but the robot bits are just fine. I liked the twist in this continuity; that Blackarachnia has ties to Optimus is a good play upon her original storyline in Beast Wars.

Actually, considering the whole 'super hero' angle the writers appear to like, I can see where the Optimus/Blackarachnia thing might end up evolving into a sort of Batman/Catwoman "relationship" (or, perhaps a closer example, Silverbolt and Blackarachina in Beast Wars); her frustration at the end of this episode seems to suggest that somewhere down the line, her own inner conflict could overtake her apparent loyalty to the Decepticons.

Pretty solid episode. I didn't even have any problems with Sari. She's gone from irksome brat to prococious ragamuffin. Really, my only problem was the same crap they seemed to pull in every episode: Wide open streets with no cars, terribly drawn humans and complete disregard for laws of physics that would make Wile E. Coyote think twice.

Okay, just finished watching episode 9... It was good, but then again it didn't focus too much on the comic relief SpongeBob and Patrick, I mean Bumblebee and Bulkhead.


My current Impressions are that Prime and Prowl show promise as characters, Ratchet is two dimensional as a character, but could develop a little more, Bulkhead and Bumblebee are one dimensional comedy relief, the later has shown a little improvement, but he still has a way to go.

This year's storyline takes place in a 'mirror' universe where the Autobots are evil and the Decepticons are good...

They're from the exclusive figure set for this year's Botcon. They come packaged with a comic, usually either a stand-alone story or one tied to a certain continuity (last year's was Classics, the year before that Beast Wars).

They're also expensive as hell and made in lower numbers than retail, 'cuz they're exclusives.

I find the show odd in the way you see characters only in one episode and never make an appearance for another long time again compared to G1 that had like so many characters per ep. I guess it's alot better for development of characters having only having a spotlight per character an ep.

Transformers: Animated is actually quite well written. The animation is poor, IMO, but what're gonna do, that animation is the new "it" way to do cartoons (shrugs). Yes, the show has had some moments of kiddie-corn, but overall it's done a great job of handling the characters, plot and creating dynamic storylines. Soundwave so far was awesome, the Dinobots were back to their old tricks, Prowl is a great new character, as is Ratchet. Yes Optimus is definitely a far cry from either Gary Chalk or Peter Cullen's version, but overall it's a fun show. It's not Beast Wars or Transformers:The Movie great, but it's good for what it is.
