Def a HIT!!! Much better written then G1, people say animated is too silly at times but G1 was rather silly itself sometimes too for example Hoist Goes To Hollywood or Child's Play. The animation is another thing people complain about but G1 had some pretty messy animation too(but I do prefer the G1 style).

I love most of the characters on the show such as Prowl, Ratchet-All of the decepticons and Dinobots.

I'm hoping for less non-decepticon eps for season 2.

I watched last weeks episode(rise of megatron pt2) and the story seems real good and was the only thing that made it worth watching.

However I HATE the animation, the quality is good, its the style that I can't stand. I mean look at primes waist and legs, its like someone squished him in their hand and all his mass went to his feet and upper body, I think it makes him look weak. Hows a big robot going to muster up strenghth when his waist is as big as mine. Bumblebee makes a bunch of retarded faces all the time. As much as I hate the style of the animation I don't quite hate it as much as the voice acting, I'm not sure it's the voice acting its self or just the voices they picked.

This is all just my opinion. Its worth checking out to see if you like it, because some people do.

Like I said: story=good. Animation Quality=good. Animation style=lets see, how would I spell what a big greasy fart would sound like. Voice acting=you'd be better off muting the TV and adding your own dialog. IMO

Looks like the Elite guards will be still around. In the season 2 trailer we see Sentital's head rolling on the floor meaning Headmaster has taken his body.

Cybertron.ca (http://www.cybertron.ca/boards/showthread.php?t=7052) reports that YTV (http://www.ytv.com/) in Canada has updated the airing schedule on their website, indicating that Transformers Animated Episode 18 "The Return of the Headmaster" will be airing this Saturday, April 19th at 11 AM Eastern Time. The airing of this new episode would be the first in the world, moving YTV ahead of Cartoon Network US in airing new episodes. Episode 18 will not air in the United States until the following weekend, on April 26th. At this time, it is unknown if YTV will continue to air new episodes ahead of the US/Cartoon Network schedule.

Oh man, I am loving Jazz's new look. Really cool. Ultra Magnus has a great Robot form but I'm not too crazy about the Missle Launcher vehicle. And Sentinel Prime's such a ****.

I kinda like it. Each Transformer has a special weapon. Axes, swords, shurikens, Flails, Uru Hammer...they were bound to get to Nunchuks at some point.

Triple changers have a long history of one really weak mode, one great mode, and one alright mode. Take classics Astrotrain, weak train mode, alright bot mode, great shuttle mode. Until we see his tank form I won't judge.

+ Megatron has a body of his own.

+ Season 2 features more Decepticons.

+ The cast is always expanding, so we will continue to see new additions like Jazz.

+ Other possible characters we might see are Swindle, Ratbat, and Galvaton.

+ They are excited about flushing out Cybertron as well as back stories of the characters in upcoming episodes.

+ The leader class Ultra Magnus toy is amazing, according to the art director . He looks just like the animation model and more tricked out then in the show.

+ Ratings for first season in the key demo 6-11 year olds have been good.

+ Nanosec will return. Bumblebee did not kill him.

FUTURE
+ The show's creators like like the name the fans came up for Lugnut's punch, "The Punch of Kill Everything," so much, they might work it into the show.

+ Things are looking good for Season 3, but nothing confirmed.

+ The art designer has been working with Hasbro on toys that are slated to show up in season 3 and are also looking forward to season 4.

+ Oil slick is a toy-only character but he is part of the lore and may show up down the road in the cartoon.

+ Full DVD sets are possible or maybe 3-episode DVD's. Nothing is confirmed as of yet other than the pilot, though.

+ They are hoping if they go to season 3 and 4, they want to work Rodimus in. The thought is there are other units with robots of Prime rank out there.

+ There are no plans for additional Dinobots at this point.

+ Arcee might show up again in the future, but not in season 2.

+ They cannot confirm nor deny Omega Supreme making an appearance in the series.

+ While they have talked about combiner teams, there are no plans as of yet.

+ All 3 panelists have been huge TF fans since they were kids. Derrik though, was in college when Generation 1 came out. His first experience was Beast Machines, where he was a story editor.

+ Bumper Robinson plays the voice of Blitzwing, who also happens to voice Bumblebee.

+ Wreck Gar came first and then they tried to get Eric Idol; however, he was busy so they got Weird Al to voice him.

+ Derrik worked on "Legion of Superheros" and "Teen Titans" and that is kind of how he draws. This is the main reasoning behind why the art style across all three of these shows are similar.

+ Fred Willard will be voicing a unnamed character.

+ The show is animated in widescreen HD files, but since Cartoon Network isn't a HD network and most of the US isn't used to watching stuff in widescreen, it's shown the way it is. The panelists noted that at some point, they would love to release it in its original format.

+ When asked whether or not the voice actors do a ad libs, the panelists said that the end of episode 29 has a lot of ad lib in it.

+ The panelists made a joke about a special musical episode with Sky-Byte (Robots In Disguise) making a appearance.

+ If they were to put Waspinator in the series, they would try and get Scott McNeil to voice the part, the voice actor of the character in Beast Wars.

+ When asked whose decision it was to make Sentinel Prime the biggest dick in the TF Universe, the reply was that it was the head writer's decision. Originally, they thought about making it Rodimus but they didn't want to make an established character tarnished.

+ When asked if there were anything off-limits, standards and practices had the team edit a scene in the Constructicon episode where the character said, "what the fork is that?"

+ Sometimes rights issues come up for names. Hasbro has been great to work with though.

+ Why is Soundwave a van? Because he looks the most like a cassette player.

I didn't like how SS kept getting killed over and over. Hope SS gets some awesome recruits. We also know now there are lots of other deceptions out there.

+ June is the TF Rollout DVD (http://tformers.com/article.php?sid=9358#) release and in Aug the rest of Season 1 will be out on DVD. You have to buy both DVDs (http://tformers.com/article.php?sid=9358#) to have the complete season. No word on what features the Aug DVD will have yet.
+ Not confirmed on what allegiance Jetfire and Jetstorm will be.
+ Prowl with Sidecar will be deluxe. The sidecar is just a sidecar.
+ Lockdown has no allegiance t was done to hide his origins. So you don't know if he was a an Autobot or Decepticon.
+ No plans for more Combaticons at this time.
+ There is a female character coming up that doesn't have a tragic past.
+ Swindle will be in the present, not a flashback scene. Same with Blurr.
+ Oil Slick might show up in Season 3. If there is a Season 3.

+ They want to do Octopunch, but not sure if he would be a Pretender. He was gonna be in the first episode after the 3-parter but it didn't work out but they still want to get him in it.
+ No plans right now of Animated Robot Heroes. Though it was mentioned this would be a great line to put human character from the show in.
+ When asked if there could ever be a Animated feature film. They said it comes down to rating, sales, ect. However, they would love to do something like that maybe as a straight to DVD.
+ Blitzwing was meant to be a Joker meets the Mask and can transform into anything when they originally thought about the character, but toy wise that feature wasn't doable. So they ended up with the multiple faces (Man-E-Faces) type feature.
+ It was Cartoon Network (http://tformers.com/article.php?sid=9358#) who pushed to Have a female lead character (Sari) in the show. Hasbro was a bit hesitant about it cause its a toy line geared for boys, but its turned out great.
+ The show takes place in the 22nd century, but they deliberately didn't set a specific date.
+ Captain Fanzone comes from Carmen Fanzone who is a baseball player that was Marty liked. It turns out that only like three people with that last name live in Detroit so he had to go to his neighbor and ask him for permission which he gave.
+ There might be some type of baseball reference coming up in the show.
+ The comic will be from IDW that is a 5-issue limited series of totally new stories written by Marty. When Marty found out IDW was doing a comic he really wanted to write it.

I like the vehicle modes of the new TF Animated toys but I just can't get past the robot modes. I can apriciate that they look real good in comparison to their cartoon counterparts, they look just like the cartoon characters. Unfortunatly I don't like the cartoon characters' style.

The cartoon would be great(to me) if it wasn't drawn like that and they had different voice acting. The one eppisode I watched(Megatron Rising pt2), the story was cool but I hate the animation. I hate the stupid faces bumble bee and that stupid little girl make. It sounds like they got the voice actors from a boys college cheerleading squad.

Shockwave seems to have a bit of a HAL 9000 vibe going on with him - makes we wonder if Corey Burton's voice for the character will fall somewhere between G1 Shockwave and S:TAS Brainiac (since he pretty much modeled his Brainiac voice off of HAL...though his Megatron voice already kinda sounds to be in that area).

I love Wreck-Gar so far. His voice is absolutely nothing like G1 but in a good way. I love Eric Idle but his voice in the movie was just to weird to understand him. I also like how they made him use advertisements to describe himself, very G1.

Yeah TFA deluxes have been out for 2-3 weeks now. The voyagers are just now showing up at TRU's in Ontario. I got Lockdown a week ago. :hehe: My problem is that I only want 6 figures and 3 of them won't be out until wave 3 of the voyagers and deluxes and 2 not until wave 4 or longer.

Dude, it was Cybertron. For all the wonderful things to come out from Japan, they have failed miserable at making decent Transformers cartoon.

There won't be any. Hasbro and CN have said that just because they use a G1 combiner name and theme doesn't mean they will combine, ever. And that more members than what you get first time is unlikely.

I wasn't to crash hot on it, true it was nice to see another G1 character join the show but he felt a little close to a Lockdown episode, yes I know Lockdown is a bounty hunter and Swindle is an arms dealer but having these decepticons doing all these intergalactic underground acts seems a little odd.

It was just a boring and pointless filler that focused mostly on the humans of the show even though we're not watching this series because of them :( Felt like the writers suffered a mental block which is why they chose to throw this rubbish in. All i can say is i hope they redeem themselves with the last few eps and hopefully it will be it for the human villains of this show!

Not odd at all. Don't forget Megatron lost the great war. Now his Decepticon forces are a bunch of underground insurgents spread across the galaxy. Who would need an arms dealer like Swindle for sure. And probably a guy like Lockdown too.


Oh and another thing. I like the human villians, mostly. Nanosec is about the only one I don't care for. But I LOVE Angry Archer, he makes any episode he's in better with his presece, forsuth!

Just saw Autoboot Camp, Must say i was very impressed by it :) Great turn around from SUV. Wasp was great, so was longarm and of course Ironhide finally makes his lengthy debut even though he comes off as a jerk.
I loved the Beast Wars refrence too.

Autobot Camp was one of the best episodes so far. Wasp is awesome. Loved the Cliffjumper appearance. Also loved how the Transformers get named. Bumblebee came off very likable in this episode unlike the other ones where most people find him annoying. Also the ending part with longarm hehehe great stuff:cwink:

Autoboot Camp- Wasp was cool but I wasn't a fan of his voice at the end, but meh, Ironhide was a jerk, but I guess he was a jerk (to Decepticons that is) in G1, and I liked Long Arm. Seeing all these different Autobots like Cliffjumper was great!

Black Friday- Grimlock was SO funny! Black Arachnia was sexy, and Optimus was very cool and heroic. I loved BB and Prowls little bet going on.

Overall great episodes, going to watch the latest one FanTransformers uploaded :trans:

I can't believe I'm saying this but... I liked SUV.

Mind you, I never cared for any of these human villains and always found them to be completely retarded (not to mention as badly drawn as all the humans are on this show) but considering the episode was about Bumblebee learning to be less of an arrogant Jackass and that "teamwork is important" the SUV provided something different.

The Autobots in this show are essentially watered down versions of the Gargoyles in their group dynamic. Optimus is like Goliath but commands less resPect and is whinier, Ratchet's a crankier Hudson, Bumblebee is Lexington without a shred of intelligence and Bulkhead is actually kind of on par with Broadway. Only Prowl actually seems to one up Brooklyn as a competent second in command. No Bronx and I don't feel like comparing Sari & Blackarachnia to Elisa and Demona. Maybe next time.

So I guess it was kind of refreshing to see a different team brought together for an episode even if they were characters I never thought I wanted to see again. Hell, there was actually romantic tension between Nanosec and Slow-Mo. I don't care if they are the lamest villains ever, I woudn't mind seeing them back in season 3.

Its a different continuity then the G1 toon.

The only shows that have been tied to the G1 toon were Beast Wars and Beast Machines and to tell the truth even those shows dont fit into the G1 continuity nicely.

Nope. Cause that's the point of the series. The Autobot main cast is made up of 1 cranky oldman and 4 rejects and frack-ups. Bumble-Bee and Bulkhead BARELY made it through basic training. Optimus washed out of the elite guard training program. Prowl well we haven't been told yet but it'll be something similar but with a ninja school. All of them are doing OJT at being competent soldiers, and a unit. And you can see they still have a ways to go. Don't forget Starscream beat the skidplates off all 5 of them, nearly killing Prime.

Most of the stuff we knew but the characters didn't, get revealed, such as sari being a robot, Sumdac being a tool, longarm being the traitor and the mysterious blue car being an autobot none other than Blurr, which was almost spot on to the original.

All i can say is i'm pumped for season 3 and i hope it comes out soon :)

I really hoped the shows 3rd season is being worked on, anyone have any news on tha? I have a bad feeling that we won't see a third season until the new movie. Im going to guess that cartoon netwrok is going to sit on the show until then. Hopefully if they do sit on it they get a forth season produced in that time frame as well. Oh and another thing all Cartoon Network hit shows seem to get some kind of Tv movie. Kids next door, Grim, Ben 10, Ed Edd and Eddy, have all had one. I really hope this show gets as many Tv movies as the KnD did!

I just finished watching both parts of "A Bridge to Close", it was a pretty action packed episode, very enjoyable but I do have some negatives about it.

-The Starscream clones were not named even though it was very apparent to fans who they are.
-The battles were very choppy as bots kept swapping sides.
-Blurr just disappeared.
-Didn't get much time to see Omega Supreme.

However the possitives outweighed the negatives.

-Bulkhead had his time to shine
-Shockwave and Blurr were true to their original G1 characters (Including having the original VA's)
-Omega Supreme kicked arse
-All the Bots and Cons fought well.
-The Megatron and SS credits :grin:
-A lot of character development with a lot of room for the series to continue to develop.

He didn't just dissappear. The first 3 bots through the space bridge were Blurr, Skywarp, and Thundercracker.

And the personality facets that the clones showed were quite amusing.

Skywarp=sniveling coward
Sunstorm=boot licking asskiss
Ramjet=pathlogical liar
G2 Ramjet=his female side

Once again,
Optimus gets outshined and outclassed. Blitzwing knocks him on his bumper, leaving Bumblebee, Prowl & Blur to take him and Lugnut out. *sigh*

Other than that, the ep was ok but pretty weak; the best parts being Starscream's yet-to-be-named clones and Omega Supreme coming to life for 2 seconds to obliterate 'em all. Also, Prowl rescuing Prime from the portal was pretty sweet. Enjoyable but underwhelming.

Loved the Starscream Clones. Omega was great and I also dug Blurr. Only problem was the ending. Megatron and Prime should of got sucked into the space bridge. Be interesting to see how both Autobots and Decepticons do once there leaders are missing.

Well, so far I've got Deluxe Cybertron OP, Bumble Bee, Prowl, Lockdown, Ratchet, and Black Arachnia, and Starscream and Cybertron mode Megatron. All SO awesome!!! I'm also gonna get Bulkhead tomorrow.

The last few episodes were pretty good, the way it ended looks like some change will be happening, whether thats a good thing or not remains to be seen if or when they make a season 3.
