Blurr's tranformation looks similar to Lockdown's. It's funny how they are making you buy Longarm and Shockwave seperatly when they are the same person.

Also another source is claiming that Rodimus Prime will be introduced in season 3. And that Hot Shot will be part of his team, as will a female medic. He'll be fighting Cyclonus/Galvatron. Who has a toad monster on his team.

Corey Burton reprising Brawn isn't a bad thing. But Steve Urkel (the guy who played him was Sonic's voice) as Hot Shot? :huh:

I still haven't figured out who was supposed to be for "female medic" and Galvatron. Blackout is Scott McNeil, which lends more creedance to this being BS. Scott McNeil has said himself that he really can't work on animated. He's not a member of SAG. He can't work in the US.

Actually the only G1 voices that aren't working these days are dead. For the most part. Ever watch Futurama? Frank Welker is in many episodes. Who do you think voices Nibbler (animal grunts and speaking)? Grimlock and Cornfed from Duckman are the same guy.

Yeah I knew about Welker from Futurama, he also does most of the animal voices in Disney movies like the monkey from Aladin. Cant remember his name but the dude that did the voice of G1 Prowl and Swoop still does work.

I don't like the look of these figures. First of all, they have no hands, and second, the combined jet thing looks like crap! Stacking one on the other is not the way to do it.

Well, last time I checked my name was not Dog Lips but I thought I'd answer it anyway, because I'm a good person :)

The answer: we don't know. So far its only been released as Jetfire and Jetstorm. They released a picture of the packaging art but it's too small to make anything out.

EDIT: DAMMIT DOG LIPS YOU BEAT ME TO IT!!! I wanted to be the hero, damn mods always get in the way :(

It would definatly fit the design, even though I don't want him to be like that. I don't want him to be like a Sentinel type character, I want him to be a relaxed fun-loving guy. Kind of like Bumblebee except less annoying and less hyper.

I don't think the Autobots on this show were intended to make extensive use of firearms (hence the set-up at the beginning about the Great War supposedly having been over for ages). Frankly, I don't have all that much a problem with it, considering the variety of weapons that they ARE using (Optimus' axe, Prowl's stars, Grimlock's sword, Jazz's nunchucks, Sentinel's lance, Bulkhead's wrecking ball, Magnus' hammer, etc.).

From the hints that have been dropped about this Rodimus Prime and his crew are going to be analouges to Optimus and his crew. So is Cyclonus and his cons. I suspect that Strika is going to be like Lugnut. The decpti-muscle to Brawn's autobot muscle.

I always figured they would stick with Rodimus, making him a Prime seems a little out of place since he's always had that brash youth persona, not quite the roll of a Prime. Maybe they are giving him a new character, a shame really, I liked him as the hot headed young gun.

Wheeljack looks pretty nice. Perceptor...well, insert obligatory Mojo Jojo joke here. I don't care for Perceptor's design one way or the other, frankly, 'cuz I was never impressed with the original character to begin with (IMO he was always little more than a slightly more mannish C-3PO).

That fembot Red Alert was orginally going to occupy Ratchet's medic position on Optimus's earth crew. So I guess they just wanted to use her somewhere.

It's also amusing that Strika is Lugnut's woman. ;)

I could see where that may be part of the reason they made Red a "female" - Animated seems to take some of its character design cues from Japanese TF continuity (ex: Megatron's Earth mode = Super Megatron)

Technically....No we did not find that out.

All we learned is that she has a robotic arm but no explanation was given as to why.

So she could be a cyborg or an android or they might come up with a new idea all together.

Like its a exo-suit designed to keep her healthy from some illness or something.

That's a good point you make, it's been a while since I watched it and can't quite remember the extent of the damage, it was her arm I think?

Yeah it was the better half of her arm.....but they never said why.

So they could go with the "Expected" answers ot they could get creative and come up with a new idea.

Well, I doubt it's a battle suit with Ponytails. I reckon she's a full-on android or cyborg (or both according to DBZ) The idea of a Transformer turning human is interesting and in some cases, makes more sense than becoming a motorcycle or whatever. Also, and this is probably nothing, Sari is Arcee with the "s" sound in front.

To be fair, the term jinzoningen is used in Japanese to refer to artificial humans in general. That's why all of Dr. Gero's humanoid creations fell under that designation. So it's not all that incorrect to go with the variations Android 17 or Cyborg 18, as FUNimation did. Plus, those two were the only ones with a human template, so one would be correct to refer to Nos. 8 to 16 as well as 19 as androids (20 is more of a murky debate).

I don't know too much, but it was either a writer/producer that confirmed the cancellation was definite. And yeah the ratings for the second season were poor.

It shouldn't come as a surprise. The last couple years CN has really buried the TF shows, though in the case of the Unicron Trilogy I can't fault them too much for that - but here it seems to me they traded TF over for "proven" sponsor-grabbers like Star Wars and Batman, hence not giving a crap about where they put Transformers in the schedule.

However, I'm sure with ROTF coming, there'll be a new cartoon shortly thereafter - hopefully a follow-up to TFA. Not that that will change CN's attitude, granted...

Just watched Transwarped. It was pretty good. I like how things are starting to unravel, and I really like the glimpse we got of the new troops. :woot:

Nice to see some old faces like Brawn.
Hmmm almost 10mins into this episode, but I'm guessing Arcee is Sari.
My second guess now, is-Arcee just had mind sex with Ratchet, creating Sari.

I love this 80's looking game fight between Megs and Prowl.

i LOVED this episode.

it took me a while to get into this shows animation, but i love how it respects the source material far more than that god awful bay movie.

The "kiddie" factor i can over look (sometimes) but i love hearing voices similar if not identical to the G1.

-I LOVED the new take on Perceptor.
-I loved seeing Wheeljack, Brawn, Cliffjumper and Rodimus

I love how they seem to actually care by giving a solid background on their history.

I am a fan of this show and i can't wait for more!

Thats not any indication that he's dead.

And for 1 very colorful reason....the cube was still blue.

Its pretty much a well established fact that all TF's turn grey when they die.

I'm cretin of it and for 2 reasons.

1] as I said TF's turn grew when they die....look at the first 3 episodes of this series when Optimus was killed in battle with Starscream

2] this pre-production art has surfaced showing the Spark still active inside the cube.

Now granted we didnt see that in any episode.......YET, but I doubt it would have been produced if it wasnt the intent to say Blurr is still alive.

Also, yeah, Dirt Boss was annoying. But who wants to bet the Constructicons become a combiner the next time we see 'em? C'mon, there's 3 of 'em now and they were all teleported while stuck together and exploding. That's GOTTA mean something.

Also, anybody else seen, whats his name, Slag? The robot Sauropod as an oil company mascot?
