Maybe a little off topic again but I think I have another break through idea (Possible spoilers ahead!): Okay, we all know that Joker is going to be in a nurse suit and Harvey is going to get scarred by either Mr.J or Sal Maroni. So, is it possible that Sal Maroni throws the acid on Dent's face (not scarring his face as much as planned) and Joker with his vendetta dresses up in the nurse uniform and fineshes what Sal began. Like in Joker's quote (sorry if not exact) he mentions something about peeling into his skin.........and well, you guys can figure the restany thoughts.

We discussed this before and based on the timeline of what we know in the film it doesn't seem possible but since there are still some blanks -we still couldn't totally rule it out.

with all the talk of joker cutting the smiles into his victims faces and peeling off faces,i think we might be getting carried away with the dark ideas-batman begins was dark but still pg-13 (12 over here) i cant see TDK going THAT extreme (as much as i want it to)

Agreed.... the theory can't be disproven yet but it doesn't seem realistic
This whole idea of Joker cutting smiles into his victims faces is really interesting to me. I would love to see him do that in the movie. I know its dark, and could come off as really disturbing, which would be awesome for the Joker to do in my opinion. Is there any substance behind those rumors or is it purely speculation at this point? I'm hoping that it happens.

No way will they show Joker peel someone's face off nor carve a Glasgow grin on someone's face. A mention of it from Gordon at most.
CaptainClown
10-02-2007, 10:53 PM
Ya, way to frighten the kids. A way to be clever is something like they give Batman a picture and then there is a camera angle and you are looking up at batman and the light behind him is making the photo somewhat tranparent and you see the grin a little bit
Darkness Falls
10-02-2007, 11:18 PM
they could have a long shot of the gotham skyline with no sound but the screams and the jokers laugh
or go the way of

The Redux 714

Like I've said before, The Joker ain't called that because he's funny.
I want to be scarred by the Joker. Seeing him on screen should put people off. Remember when we were kids, and how much Jack's "BOO!" from Batman89 scared us? (not really scared, but it wasn't a walk in the park either)
I wanna be blown away by this Joker. I mean, we got a hospitol being blown up, he's aparently cut a smile into his face, and hi spast times are walking around the streets on Gotham, machine gun in hand, blowing away innocents.
A scene from The Crow: Salvation comes to mind as a perfect Joker moment:
Corrupt Cop: "You're right, spooky, you happy?" *starts firing*
*Crow takes the gun, and puts it into the cops mouth*
"I'm working on it." *kills cop*
Funny, but morbid. Joker should do that. Make our skin crawl as much as Batman makes baddies skin crawl.

I like a joker that is insane not just a killer, but so out of touch with the norm he is cracking jokes while he is shooting bank hostages. Or casually talking to a kidnapped woman who is tied up in his bedroom as he picks out what to wear.
Then somedays he creates a big elaborate crime and batman barges in only to see banners that say Happy Anniversary in commemoration of the acid bath day then throws a cake at batman and giggles as he is hauled back to gotham

Evidence for it are speculative because they are based solely on the fact that he draws smiles on the faces from the marketing stuff - not REAL evidence exist.

That apparently was just Heath fooling around, you can tell that they are not filming, just re-setting the shoot. It is known that Heath is a skate boarder in real life. It was just him in between takes messing around.
heath always skateboards on the set of his movies, and off the set....
there used to be a funny clip of him in A Knights Tale being pulled by a horse on a skateboard in knights armor.
Sorry to be random but could someone please post or PM me the side that involves the bank robbery and the bank manager? I would greatly appreciate it.

UPDATED: "Miranda Fox" alerted BOF to the following line from Sir Michael that comes via THEMONEYTIMES.COM:
"I was waiting for Batman's guests, but (The Joker) had taken over the elevator with -- he has seven dwarfs and... oh! wait until you see them. So, I'd never seen any of it and the elevator door opened and they came out and I forgot every bloody line. They frightened the bloody life out of me .... It's amazing and it's so different from Jack."

I think if Heath is anything like The Joker from Batman:MOTP, than he would be awesome. Joker is hilarious, yet disturbing, and such a pain yet fun, dark and insane in that movie. I just watched it tonight, and the way they wrote Joker for it was great, disturbing and fun.
And he fights soooo dirty too, it's great. Not like he is a great fighter, but you can tell he has an idea of what to do. Just a street brawler it seems, but he is a dirty brawler, and it suits his character great.

That material is actually based off of a real material designed by the military. I don't see if some one had the money they could not have something like that. And though there may be some stretches of reality, Ra's surviving that is next to impossible. Though yes in the comics he is immortal, but I don't think Nolan would ever do that.

Ra's escaping the train would be nothing more unbelievable than a lot of other stuff in the movie. To me, it's implied he dies (because he closes his eyes and seems to accept defeat when Batman gets off the train) but if Batman can move around undetected and jump down on people, a master ninja could get off that train before it crashed.

I see where you are coming from, but I am definately not basing it off the immortal factor.
Just the fact that he could have jumped out and grabbed a window ledge, or fell and broke a couple bones and crawled away half broken, or he grabbed onto a telephone wire, lol...there are just too many possibilities to believe that the only IMMORTAL villain in Batman, is dead.
That is just too ironic for me:)

yeah. third movie or somethin ra's can come back. and the reason he wouldn't be terrorizing gotham at the moment is because he respects bruce. the prestige was set in reality, tesla is a real person and so was that chinese magician. so, he has no problem doing supernatural things in realistic movies. ra's can be immortal.

Thats one of the many things i like about Batman Begins-the Ras immortality issue was left up to the viewer to decide.
Some people think Nolans more realistic take dispells all the fantastical elements of Batman but i think he presents you with choices so its really up to you wether your preference be total realism or fantasy.
...and for the record,The Prestige has nothing to do with the world of Batman, they are completely seperate...thats like saying "speilberg cant lay claim to portraying a realistic war because he made a movie about a cute alien"

I only cite the prestige to say Nolan won't shy away from doing something with sci-fi and mystical elements. Now if his Batman world does or doesn't have it, who knows. But I say look at the prestige as an example of how Nolan would present something with fantasy elements.

Well, I think in Nolan's realism, "immortal" means that the main idea never die... Maybe Ra's is "immortal" because some of his ninjas will continue what Ducard did! I mean, Henri Ducard is dead, but maybe someone else will take his place as Ra's al Ghul. The main idea still alive...exactly the same way Batman want to become a symbol, an eternal symbol. Of course, Bruce will die, but Batman will stay alive as a symbol!
There's the difference between the definition of "immortal" in the comics and in nolan's vision...So I'll be not surprised to see Ra's al ghul come back in the third movie, but not Henri Ducard.

I really dont like the idea of "Ra's" name being a title. It wasent because the first guy died, that Ducard got his name as a title. Ducard was Ra's al Ghul the whole time. Ra's just uses other people to pose as him in the movie. Bruce was even able to figure out that Ra's was Ducards real name. Hence this line:
"Or cheap parlor tricks to hide your true identity, "Ra's"? "

The only way Ra's should or could come back into Nolan's Batman universe is if Nolan stays for a 4th film. The third will be about Two Face, The Joker, and rumors of Catwoman. Would anyone seriously want Ra's Al Ghul stuffed in there as well?
It's also unlikely Nolan will go past a trilogy as that's usually where most directors stop. So I'd like to see Ra's come back but he more than likely will not. Then there's that fact that a 4th film wouldn't be until 2014 or so. That's nearly a decade after Begins come out. Most of the audience will have forgotten who this old man "Ra's" from Batman Begins even was.
Basically, it's near unfeasible.

Son of the Demon
I haven't read that yet...
As in Killing Joke type midgets?Thats not really explained, all I know is Micheal Caine forgot his lines because Heath and the midgets were so ****ing intense and frightning:
"I tell you the big surprise in the new 'Batman' -- Heath Ledger as the Joker," Caine told reporters in New York Tuesday, while promoting his new film, "Sleuth." "He's fantastic. He's gone in a different direction than Jack (Nicholson) ... Jack was like a really scary old, nasty old uncle with a funny face. Heath is like the most murderous psychopath you've ever seen on the screen," Caine said.
Caine then recalled the first time he saw Ledger in his Joker regalia. It was for a scene in which the Joker bursts unexpectedly into a room via elevator.

If there was truth to him holing up in a candy factory I would have to make an Oompa Loompa joke right here.
But so far...sounds like good characterization. reminds me of the freaks from the Killing Joke.

After making it to Joker's abandoned amusement park hide-out (hey, one can still hope!), Joker goes insane and realizes that the bullet wound can make for an interesting addition to his gimmick.
Nice theory, just 2 questions:
1) why would he call himself The Joker if he dresses up as a clown?
2) explain why he would leave Joker cards on the crime scenes?
Don't flame me because of these questions, I stumbled on this post via another theory post.

Maybe he leaves joker playing cards at the scene of the murder, thus in effect, the media labels him "The Joker."
In The Man Who Laughs, he didn't start calling himself The Joker, the media did. Although, that was actually the only part I disliked, especially the way it came off.

Damn BRITS!
I just had an idea about the Joker's "origin." Maybe through flashbacks, or in real time, Joker is revealed to be associated with Maroni, maybe a killer for the mob or something like that. Once he gets out of control, this really pisses Maroni off, so he gets some of his thugs to torture Joker. The scene won't be actually shown, but next time we see the Joker he has his cut smile and, if he is indeed, permawhite skin, leaving it up to the viewer to decide how Joker became the way he is physically.

I'll admit that I was a bit skeptical about Heath playing Joker initially, but I was just watching 10 Things I Hate About You - the scene where he sings "Can't Take My Eyes Off You" at the football stadium...
Man! Am I now convinced. He was mischievous, running playfully away from the security guards... I mean it's almost Joker, just the way we've seen him behave in some of the spy footage.
Without a teaser trailer or any footage of TDK in sight, it took an older film of his to convince me. Can you guys think of any other Joker moments from other movies of Heath's?
PS - I'm not saying he should sing in TDK too. I'm certain Nolan knows better than Raimi. :cwink:

well What i mean by "I" is, i'm the one who drew the issue, that's my artwork. Also, there have been nothing but great reviews because to quote
http://www.silverbulletcomicbooks.com/reviews/119160440235613.htm
The artwork is one of the highlights of this issue. Jamal Igle, Rob Hunter and John Kalisz compliment each other very well and bring out a very realistic looking feel to the story while maintaining a classic “comic book” style. They do an excellent job with consistency and detail, as well as bringing the level of darkness on Earth-3 to life.
Comicbloc:
THE ARTWORK
I've been a big fan of Jamal Igle ever since he was on the great Firestorm book. His work has always been flowing and expressive. His clean lines are reminiscent of Stuart Immomen (sp) while adding a bit of the White and Black composition of Alex Toth.
I will tell you right now: This is his best work yet. Earth three is dark and dangerous, claustrophobic and nasty. He has open up his illustrations to texture and line work...using shadows sparingly and effectively. Every page is interesting and varying in energy. He does great quiet scenes that explains all by expression and he does great action shots.
And do you want to know why? I must say that Rob Hunters inks enahnced Jamals illustrations. His style actually refined and gave Jamals work a weight and solidity that has not been seen before.
And since Jamal has been more open in his artwrok, the Colorist: John Kalisz did a great job shaping the characters and giving them depth. The use of darker color palette added to the intensity. Colorist DESERVE their name on the cover. They now as much as responsible for effect of artwork than ever before. And it involves a high level of artistry themselves.
The Great The look and feel of earth 3 as well as all the other great details such as Owlmans original outfit to his Earth2 look.
I'm kind of coming off as a bit of a douche, sorry.

The cards are real, they were thrown all over a comic-con or something floor. There are three other cards like it. And yes I aready know most everyone has seen them. I expected to get actual in depth opinions, not just "fake". It makes you sound arrogant. If it's fake, then what looks fake? What part is fake? I'm not saying it isn't fake, it might just be. But the sources I found these photos at have pretty good rep. I know all the batman sites, I know all the sources, I've read everyone's opinions. For crying out loud, I have bats on the brain. But everyone take a pill, I'm not being arrogant or showing off or whatever else you might think since this is the internet and you can't hear the tone of my voice. Okay maybe I'm behind. So bring me up to date if that's the case. From all these other sites and forums, I've picked everything apart and come up with pretty much this, a dead end on info on the Joker for TDK. Got info and pics but nowhere near enough. If I'm wrong then show me proof that I'm 100% wrong. Otherwise you're only partly sure that I'm wrong. Instead of acting with arrogant "haha you're so lame" crap. Put up or shut up. :woot: Use more than just "it's fake" to prove me wrong. Show me the solid proof that what I have is fake without using just your vision and insight. But for future sake...take a freakin chill pill! However I'm hoping I'm wrong and someone out there has some real inside info, more than what everyone has aready seen and heard.
Also some of my opinions (no solid proof, just theory) I'm sure you don't want to hear but will anyway. Only because I see alot of the posts in here and have for awhile now. The Joker's scars and skin color. From the looks of it, he has pale/normal skin. But it could happen like this since it's pretty much the case: The scars come first, you could be seeing pictures in the movie from before he gets thrown into acid. You guys say you've seen pictures of him where in one he has normal skin and in another has white skin (his wrists). He might get thrown into acid later in the movie, some time after he gets the scars. And just wears facepaint before the acid accident. The hair deal I can't explain though. So who really knows. If you haven't already then read the comics and watch the series because you'll find alot of your questions answered in that or at least alot of possibilities. From what I know about the basis of this Joker is that Heath is going for more of the Killing Joke type (as everyone aready knows) so anything can be expected from this new Joker, from crossdressing insanity to mobster acts.
Who knows for sure. Though I'd really like to know everyone's opinions on this, what you think when you really think about how this movie is going to turn out. If no one can take all this in as mere opinions, chitchat and gossip, then don't post and save everyone the OT drama. It's just a movie, it's just for fun.

the first picture is someone holding a promotional joker card. the second one is a manip of heath from another movie, i don't know which, i'm sure you can find the original pic with a google or imdb search though. the third looks like it could be easily done in photoshop, or even mspaint. and the last one is a notorious fake that the guy did for fun, and later admitted was fake once it spread across all the sites.

I need to look back but I believe it is Entertainment 52.... the company that commissioned them to be made and spread around places, they also did the "jokerized" money for comic con... but they are in charge of most if not all of the viral marketing for the film.
We originally found that information by determining who owned the viral marketing websites then going to them. Which was easy since its public information.

You made that manip Stone? You should make more :woot: and spread the confusion. Sorry, I don't watch many Ledger movies. I've only seen him in two movies. Just finished watching Batman '89 again. Good luck Ledger. Jack may not have been the best Joker but he's been the only one able to make a decent one in voice and face (comparing it to TAS and original). Can anyone figure this out? Why is Ledger's Joker hair growing out brown without the green? Think about it, if that's the chemical dyed green hair then wouldn't the chemicals have messed up the roots' base making his hair grow out green along with the already bleached hair? If Nolan wants to get "realistic" then that would be the realism of it I think. If it bleaches his skin, then it would bleach his scalp and that would be the reason why he always has green hair. I'm probably thinking too deeply into this or taking it too literal. But I think if Nolan wants to be more realistic then he should cover details. Love Nolan's batman but god help him if he ****s up the Joker (kidding!). :woot: :woot: :woot:

It's 6 am and I'm bored and playing the "obsessive detective". So here you go. I took one of the new joker images and played with it but only a little. I have the new photoshop and decided to put the pic under hard light, which as you know, will show even the smallest details most people don't want revealed on their face. I don't think it shows very much though, if anything. But I did notice the talk about "is joker's skin white? is he wearing white makeup on his face or flesh makeup on his neck?". Well I put the pic under even harder light and noticed that there's a white spot on his neck under his collar pretty far off from the possible white makeup on his face. Maybe his skin is actually permawhite? Maybe not. I can't pick it apart much more than this. But I can try other pics of the new joker and see what comes out. Let me know what you think, proof of white skin, or a white makeup smear?

A life, what's that? I prefer to have an option on reality Juggs. Okay you say the joker doesn't have permawhite skin. Maybe so. But how do you know that for sure? Seriously Juggs it's only a matter of opinion, if I knew for sure that he had natural or white skin then I wouldn't go through the trouble of photoshopping to find out. And btw, it took about ten minutes out of my "life" to figure it out. C'mon take a joke and in the words of Scarecrow "Lighten Up".
In addition: I just read some of Juggs' past posts concerning this Joker Makeup epidemic. So my apologies that I made any assumption before I did my research. It turns out that Juggs has this tik with anyone who brings up the Joker's makeup. But see there's something about that. If everyone lived their lives just accepting what's on the outside, this would be a blind and idiotic world indeed. Juggs there are going to be topics brought up that you don't agree with or don't like. I may not have the "life" you're telling me to get, but at least I have the mind I'm sure others on here wish you'd get. Quit harassing people who bring up the topic. Quit telling everyone to just accept it and get over it. People have opinions and they don't make them to coincide with what you believe. So Juggs, just get over it, please.
Also to ask OT how many of you have a myspace? I found Harvey Dent on there under ibelieveinharveydent and another for ibelieveinharveydenttoo. Are there any released pictures of Heath's Joker doing a full on smile instead of little grins and Fox news?

That makes more sense. And from the pic of Joker holding a knife to Rachel, it's possibly the case. It does look blotchy. So it could be that he falls in acid, gets it thrown on him, sprayed on him or something like that. Acid burns do leave your skin really white, just not insanely white. Acid burns + makeup? Possible.
I'm waiting to see Joker as a nurse. Priceless.

The purple suit is what confuses people. Stupid on my part to have not checked my own pics to see him before he walks into the bank. Two things piecing together doesn't quite fit though. Maybe it proves a theory. Joker's hair isn't green so this is before he gets acid-i-fied, maybe? But in the script (if this is the same bank scene) Joker or "the thug" removes his mask and the bank manager comments about his face. So I'm guessing he has the scars? Which would mean there's more than just a few minutes of elapsed time between Joker getting the scars and getting acidified.
Irrational and illogical thought? Yes. :ninja:

With all due respect, I think you need a brush up:oldrazz:
Batman himself wasn't created until '39, so there's no way that pic is from '38. The Joker was created in 1940. As for Bob Kane, he died in 1998, he was alive for Batman & Robin. He was asked about the film after it was released in '97, he said he thought it was a bad movie and asked what was the best thing about it, he responded, "Clooney had the square-jaw look down."
If you want to talk to JokersHarlequin, refer to this name. It's me obviously. I changed names. The name was too long and started to annoy me. So deal with it with a smile. :woot:

I think you like me. :whatever: Seriously what is it with you and every word I say? Um no. The Joker can't "just be some guy". If Nolan doesn't stick to the character in retrospect then it's not the real character. What proof do I have? I was born in the 80s so I'm pretty sure I know enough about the Joker. But tell me something, my friend, why are you so into changing the Joker? Why can't he be who he originally was created to be and remain as such? What don't you like about him? Why should he have to be normal? Appearently you aren't into preserveing original copies. I can't stand when something is changed so much that it becomes something else entirely. And I really doubt Nolan will change the Joker from his original appearence. Maybe spike it up a bit but c'mon why can't you just accept that the Joker IS permawhite? Dude no matter how much you complain, it's not going to change the fact that Joker is Joker and the fact will always stand that he's permawhite. On top of that...he's fictional. So yeah I'd say in his world, turning white from acid is possible. If you don't think Joker's detailed appearence isn't important then you must not like Batman very much. It's important to those who care about it.
But as for Batman trying to be made real...the day that becomes possible, I'm donning a Riddler costume for the rest of my life and going by E. Nigma.

Why do people say that the Joker in this movie, if he didn't have permawhite skin, is just some guy?
Then wouldn't he be some guy...with really white skin then?
I'm just saying that I'm sure he's not going to be 'some guy'. It's too extreme and muddles on what you're really trying to say, and IN WHICH, I do understand. I know what you're getting at.

First, don't get me wrong. I have nothing against you. The fact is that I don't understand why fans are so conservatives. I don't know to me it's pretty obvious at this point that the Joker makeup ain't perma-white. Did you see the leaked pic where you can see the Joker makeup falling apart and revealing his flesh colored skin? Because if you didn't have a chance to see that pic I can send it to you if you want. You know my point really is that fans are to categoric: if he is not perma-white, he is not the Joker. For me, it is Nolan's take on the Joker, I don't want to go into another "realism" debate. The fact is that Nolan makes the character is own and that's a good thing, I don't think that just having the character being flash colored change his persona that much, change what makes him the Joker. Plus, you are telling me that you can't change a character but what do you think, do you think that the Batman for 1939 is the same that nowadays Batman? No, he isn't. You don't want to accept a minor change (personally, I don't give a f*** about his real skin color) fine but I am just saying that the Joker is flesh colored in the Nolan version and that it is not a MAJOR thing. The Joker is more than just a perma-white freak, isn't he?
Well knowing that you understand what I'm saying, you get the gist of my meaning right? Only that the movie Joker would be more appreciated, I guess, if he were to be the actual Joker. Either way, permawhite or not, he'll be Joker. But to be THE Joker on screen, that'd be priceless. And might get more of a reaction out of people. Maybe the permawhite and the acid thing just adds to the viewers' inner perception of his mentality, what caused it and why he'd have such a strong grudge against Batman. My real concern is that this Joker have not only the appearence or app. reference but also give people that same feeling they get when they think of The Joker. Not just put him on screen for mere reference or shock value, but to portray him as he's meant to be portrayed. From what I know so far, Ledger has pulled it off nicely, permawhite or not.

but what i like about the joker is not knowing his motives, that's when hes the scariest to me, not when he just wants to get batman back for an acid bath. perma white or not, i'm looking forward to this.

Sorry pal, bad habit. :woot: If you got a glimpse at me you might get why I'm so defensive. Defenses down. Isn't it what matters is that the Joker isn't written out as just another villian. Look at all this publicity over him. Yes i saw the pic of him with the makeup coming off. But some people are saying he was wearing flesh colored makeup. Personally I think he wears makeup in the beginning. You have to keep in mind that Joker does those scenes that were released in the beginning, when they first get a lead and glimpse on the Joker. I think he has/gets the scars and later on gets bleached out. Weird theory but possible. Just about anything is possible with all the rumors and pics floating around. I guess you just have to see it from my point of view which may be the point of view of others as well. Some of us just crave to see that 1940s joker thrown on screen with the genious of Nolan's added sadistic, dark touch. Everyone fears the worst: that this Joker is going to tear apart the Joker's image. People have to be careful in film, they can ruin an image for alot of people. Especially people who grew up with the Batman. They want modern vision with originality. Any man who can pull that off is great. I don't know how exactly Nolan will carry the Joker out, from the looks of it, quite well. But if he goes in a complete different direction and make the Joker dull, alot of people are going to be disappointed. Generally the Batman of old is still the Batman of new. But Batman doesn't have the issues of skin color, Joker does. So Joker's skin is an issue with people, so in alot of circumstances it isn't a mere minor detail. From the look of it, Nolan intends to make Joker both throughout the movie, non-permawhite and permawhite eventually (like the 89 Batman). Who knows. I don't work with them personally so I don't know. And the people who do obviously can't spill.

Not atall-i absolutely loved the art, thats why i took the time to scan it and post it...i just feel bad for the poor quality of my scan not showing just how good your art is!
A quick question-did DC give you strict guidelines on how to portray Jokester or did you come up with the stitches opening and such on your own?
No Sean McKeever wrote it into the script and I liked the visual idea.

Well that's not what he said.
People can find that a flesh-toned Joker won't be too much of a drastic change from the comic books, but I don't think they can deny that part of his persona/psychology is altered. At least, in a subtle way that actually changes a lot. It's a matter of how important you think that alteration is.

Yea but I still think its too early to judge what has been done. It depends first on the context of the Joker's new interpertation of the character and how well it fits into the story. As well there are rumblings that we get some what of a origin of the Joker. And since we know that a lot of this is based off of Batman # 1 it was clear that he was a perma white guy. To me one way or another it does not matter, but I have a feeling Nolan has a trick up his sleeve.
heath ledger is also not the exact same height and weight of the joker...now is his hair the same length....so therefore...hes not the joker and this movie is going to suck.

well none of this matters anyway.. because in the end Joker *will* be white, hah :oldrazz: :whatever:
What madness have I started. Joking. I'm waiting til after the movie is released so I can either accept this new Joker or start a riot. That's all anyone can really do is wait until summer '08. Or December. Depending on what Joker has planned. Hopefully we get to see more of this card who's causing so much controversy. It's Joker all in all that really matters. And it's his twisted demeanor we all know and love. Both sides have strong points. This new Joker just might top all the rest. But then we have this dilemma. What if Joker is changed so much that we can't even recognize. We won't know for sure until something solid is released from either Nolan or our Joker himself. Look at it this way. Joker is of himself like the joker card. He can play face up and give everyone a run for their guts. Or he can play face down and leave questions and suspicion. But we won't know until he plays his hand. Until then I vote we kidnap one of those WB ninjas and make them talk. :woot:

So I guess instead of using the Joker gas, he'll simply carve the smiles into his victims faces in this movie.

There is no reason to believe he would carve anybody
Carve? That'd be too obvious for any killer to do. I'm sure he'll use the gas, we just haven't seen proof of his methods yet.

I'd actually prefer the carvings... goes along with "translation to reality" bit... What would be a smile inducing toxin in the comics, is a much more psychotic use of a blade in films.

I agree. I never liked the idea of the "Joker venom" anyway, to be honest. Seems like a real stretch, especially in these more realistic films (now, I know someone's gonna try to counter that by bringing up Scarecrow's fear toxin, but let's not compare a hallucinogenic drug to a poison that somehow contorts a person's mouth into a joker smile).
Also, I'd say we do have some light evidence that he may do the carving thing. First of all, his own disfigurment is obviously caused by something similar. Also, we have two pictures of him holding Rachel and pressing his knife against her cheek.
True enough. Maybe he uses both. Yeah I did wonder how exactly it was that the Joker got his grin from a wound and not from a chemical yet everyone in contact with the same chemical got the grin anyway without being wounded. Wtf is that a flaw? Maybe Nolan wondered the same thing. I think it would be cool if he used both. Cutting and poisoning. Maybe cuts from a blade then insanity from chemical inhalation. Now I'm pulled in two directions here, someone clue me in if you can. Why is it that in alot of the cartoons and comics Joker just sprays something and boom, they look like him. But he went through a wound and chemicals to get the way he is. Also, it's been used both ways but, does he become insane from the chemicals or what happened? Because anyone who gets gassed has both gone crazy or died. There's ten different f*****g Jokers. Maybe Nolan just kinda made up his own. A cool one in my opinion. The logic of all this is going to make me insane.

He might just paint smiles onto his victims. Or do something that causes bruising or rashes around the mouth so it comes out red.
Does anybody have that pic of the fake Joker corpse? from the website. that's probably our biggest clue in regards to Joker smiles.

I agree, we're all unsure of Joker's appearance due to the fact that its too DAMN early! Like everyone else I have my own thoughts on Mr. J's look, but I'm gonna do some more research on him just to make sure I have logical evidence that meets both Nolan's and BatMan's level of rationallity.

Alright guys, sorry so quick but I think I have solid evidence that Joker is infact going to were flesh colored make up and is literally white all over. How? Well.......

Even though he's being covered by some sort of speacial effects screen, if you take a closer look his hand matches his white face. Now I may not exactly be sure, I could even be wrong, but this could possibly prove that Mr. J is perma-white.

During this shoot in April Heath was wearing black gloves during the bank scene; why would he have two pairs of gloves? Now I'm not a man of my word, but I think I'm thinking what everyone else is thinking.:woot:
